No it's not a secret and what's up with you people on this board anyway? As long as no-one says anything thing against what your opinions are you're happy go-lucky but the minute someone says something SOME of you folks think can't possibly ring true you guys fly off the handle? Now I know why a classic poster and fellow fan of mine @ LM "C4L" stopped posting over here. He always did say you guys were a fickle bunch and now I'm starting to see that SOME of you folks are. Our website is Cougar's Den but you won't find some of the silliness and the "we drank the Kool-Aid," homer kind of posts over there. Sure, we can go back and forth with the best of them but we prefer facts and not speculation, sayings or whatever whacky kind of things I've seen here to decide the outcome of football games.
This is a big board with many posters from many schools odds are your bound to cover the whole spectrum of BS from A to Z thats just the nature of the beast . Most of it is all in fun although some get carried away from time to time it all comes out in the wash. Glad to have you and your LM friends posting here and in the mean time put your hip waders on and enjoy the ride tell Saturday anyway ! ;) -
I take La Marque, Dayton lost to aldine and angleton. Which LM embarrased aldine in a scrimmage and beat el campo who beat angleton by at leat 30. And LM D has stepped up these last games. And Dayton has a cupcake district. Dayton reminds me of a less athletic friendswood. LM plays in the toughest district in the state all teams still in playoffs and could end up playing each other in quarterfinals. One thing LM, steps up when people DOUBT them against SO CALLED DISTRICT champs.
Let me see if I can counter your HS football logic: Dayton dominated WOS in a scrimmage and WOS spanked Friendswood almost the whole game and Friedswood beat you ! You lost 3 games because your unbeatable right ! Get a grip and never underestimate the other team it might come back and bite ya --- ouch ! -

Dayton vs. LaMarque "Ghost of Playoffs Past"...Who ya' got

In my opinion this is a short list of Dayton recruits that have college potential the list doesn't include Delesbour, Rip,Rheyes, Joe Duff and a few others !Football Recruiting HomeForumsLatest NewsProspectsPlayer SearchVisitsCommitsVideosTeam RankingsExperts Datyon High School Scouting Report By Alan Zepeda Texas Manager Posted Nov 21, 2010 | More Dayton High School is always good for producing some college prospects each year. This year the big prospect is Darrian Wright who is committed to SMU. Scout.com takes a look at some of their current and future college prospects. One thing about Dayton High School is the school can produce talented defensive linemen. The defensive tackles the school produced are often all City players but a little too short for D1 schools. In recent years they have produced two National recruits and Top 100 in the nation in A.J. Dugat who plays for Houston and Cody Green who plays for Nebraska. The tradition continues as we take a look at the 2011 Class and who has a chance to be division one. Class of 2011 Darrian Wright - defensive tackles who is committed to SMU. Wright is listed at 6'2 and weighs 275 pounds. For a defensive tackle he is strong and very quick, and most of all relentless. He can drop into coverage as well as rush the passer. Wright's versatility and ability to be an every down defensive lineman makes him valuable. What separates him from the pack is that he can offer a pass rush from the defensive tackle spot. Solid D1 prospect. Xavier Baldwin- plays wide receiver and safety. Baldwin is a playmaker on offense. In the second round of the playoffs he took a pass in the flats 91 yards for a touchdown and to open the floodgates in the game. Baldwin lacks size, but he has speed, quickness and instincts. He could play D1 in the right program but is more likely to end up in D2 Justin Booth- Committed to Rice. Great frame at 6'5 and weighing 260. Booth has long arms and moves smoothly on the pass rush. He gets a good push on run blocking and uses the leverage of his big body to win the blocks. He is a D1 player all the way. Class of 2012 Linebacker Jack Choate - Okay size at 6'0 180, he is good in coverage and can play sideline to sideline. He hustles on the field and gives it all. Unless he fills out more playing at the D1 level will be difficult. He could end up being a safety on the next level if he can prove it in camps. Wide Receiver/Corner Back, Gamal Fowler - Another deluxe playmaker on both sides of the ball, he can bust a 90 yard play or grab an interception. On offense he is fast and quick and makes some smart decision running the ball. On defense he has a good sense of where to be in coverage and has the hands to make an interception. Solid D1 player Class of 2013 Safety, Jamaud St. Andre - a bit undersized for safety, he might grow big enough to meet the height threshold D1 schools tend to have. He is a natural defensive back and finds himself in the middle of plays quite often. Still has learning to do but he is promising with the only drawback being his lack of size. Guard, Matt Oubre - good size at 6'2 and weighing 260. He needs to work on his skills, both pass blocking and run blocking and has not gotten the snaps to get ready for the next level but he will in the next couple of seasons. Could be a D1 with development. And no, by no means am I scared...lol...if we win we win, if we lose we lose. I've watched LM on video and it looks like they have several running backs that can fill in for T. Wright with not to much of a drop off- looks like you use multiple backs in your offensive scheme .

Uhmmm, I wouldn't fully agree with that but Alridge (7.7 yds avg.) is a tough little scamper back with wheels who could have developed much more had he been given the reps. needed to do so. Most of the other backs can play the position but they are larger backs who come in primarily for blocking reasons. T. Wright is the complete package with better than average speed, good vision, ability to cut on a dime and size to run over and through tackles if need be. We do have others that don't typically play that position like Gasway who was a State finalist in the 100m last year could play a role if need be. Only problem there is the experience factor so who really knows?
Hmmmm....sounds familiar.....kinda like a guy named Delasbour :( :( :(
LmCoog 88 our #1 RB J. Delasbour(11th grader) went down in week 9 of the season and was a big factor in our offense, but our back up #15 McBride (10th grader) about 5'5 150# has come in and done a subperb job for us ! -
Martinez struggled more because his ankle is just about broke. Green is not a very good college qb. He just lobs balls out there, no zip on it at all.
Your wrong about that he's got one of the best arms in the business if anything he has to take some off his passes to make them catchable. Not impressed with Martinez his career will be cut short because he's nothing but a wildcat QB and will eventually sustain to my injuries to compete. And if he was playing with an almost broken ankle then he and that egomaniac coach are both idiots for risking permanent damage ! I can see Green becoming a great QB if given the chance ! -

Most of Beaumont picking them to win....LaMarque chiming in with a close game prediction...Humble stating an opinion along with the facts to back it up. I'm waiting to hear what Brenham fan thinks?? Brenham didn't play their game and it cost them the win. Didn't notice KP having that cannon legged kicker making 65 yarders in pre-game in any film....he must've been a senior last year.
BrenhamFan says, if Dayton doesn't turn the ball over in their own redzone like we did, KP's fairytale is over. I doubt they catch that many breaks 2 games in a row. I'm gonna predict that they are just happy to beat us and be in the second round. Dayton wins this one rather easily, leaving everybody to wonder about the game that could have been.
I love how #5 fever thinks #5 should see the ball more. I think that we are saving some plays for #5 and #20 and we will see them utilized when it's big play time. No reason to show everything to those that are scouting the broncos. Also, McBride needs the touches against fresh playoff caliber defenses if we want to see the Broncos continue with a balanced (and hard to defend/prepare for) offensive attack. So, what do we know about Kingwood Park other than the fact that they beat Brenham and should not be taken lightly? Skill positions? Standout players? Strengths/Weaknesses?
Kingwood Park Panthers Record: 8-3 Offensive Scheme: Spread/ Pro Style set Note: Have a tendency to utilize multiple offensive sets, expect the majority to be run out of the Spread. But a Power I and Pistol Formation (Similar to what is run out of Nevada on Power running plays) are seen from time to time. When in the I or Ace formations, it is generally going to a ISO or Sweep to the outside...or of course play action. When in the Pistol, it is Zone Read Option...Generally the QB will take it up the middle. Will also occasionally run two full backs and use #31 Ragan Robichaux as the running back. (Though i tend to believe this is only against weaker opponents.) Key Players on Offense: QB- Zach Vorencamp (6'2 175) Comp %: 54% Yards: 1385 TD: 14 INT: 10 RB- Chris Smith(5'9 170) Attempts: 165 Yards: 1346 TD:14 AVERAGE YPC: 8 WR-Collis Brown (6' 175) Catches: 28 Yards: 445 TD: 4 WR- Ryan Cooglet (6'3 180) Catches: 21 Yards: 330 TD: 6 RB/DE Ragan Robichaux (6'1 185) Attempts: 39 Yards: 320 Average YPC: 8 HIGHLIGHTS: [Hidden Content] Note: WR Ryan Coogler is a threat in the red zone, is one of Vorencamps go to guys when inside the 20. Generally favoring him on a TE Drag on the play action fakes out of the Ace or I Formation. Rarely does K-park go Spread in the red zone. Also, Chris smith loves to bounces things outside. rarely follows full back inside on ISO...Generally tries to run to the edges and hope to make a defender miss. Defensive Scheme: 33 Stack Defensive notes: Are small up front, and occasionally find the need to put 5 on the line. Will show multiple defense looks, but their base is the 3-3-5. Have a weak secondary, but they are quick. Do well against the run, and have good speed throughout the defense. Key Players: FS- Ian Ebow (5'11 175) DE- Ragan Robichaux (6'1 185) DB- Cullen Craft (5'11 170) DB- Eric Burciaga (5'11 190) Notes: Ebow and Robichaux are hands down their best defensive players. They entire unit plays well together, they aren't very big but they have a lot of fight in them. Cullen Craft is also their return man on special teams, has a set of jets. He is a danger to take bring it back deep.
Is this your personal acquired info or is this from another source / Because if its your own then you you missed your calling to be a scout !
a minute and eight seconds left in the game bronco fans thought they were beat. i think liv fans had more confidence in yall winning because we know how our defense is. liv should have never went to a prevent defense. both teams played hard and made it one of the most exciting games i have been to.qb from dayton hurt liv defense when the play broke down would scramble for a lot of yards. he was very confident that last minute even after almost throwing int. hopefully will lead yall all the way.liv works on defense in off season will be hard to beat next year. qb will be a jr and all of our running backs will be seniors.next year hope to see liv work on passing game more in nondistrict games .when and where is Dayton's next weeks game
Great game by both teams ! Gut check for the Bronco's ! Your right about Dayton's QB he was the General that took the game over and marched his team down the field for the win ! Was very impressed with Livingston and hopefully next year we won't meet until deeper in the playoffs ! GO BRONCO'S - take care of business and you can write your own ticket from here on out ! -

Wonder why the Brenham offense did NOTHING in the first half then made the comeback in the 2nd.
So basically your saying we won cause yall didn't have yall's anchor??? We also had to shutdown your offense did you QB or RB get hurt too? Nah. Didn't think so.
Yah-actually our Mr do it all QB/RB Payton Ploch did get hurt and saw limited time in the 2nd half and when he did get to play he was in excruciating pain . But like you said before- injuries are part of the game and to take nothing away from Brenham they played a heck of a game and earned the win ! :)

Brenham showed they weren't invincible when Stratford got done with them ! I know there's all that stuff about laying an egg and were the best second half team in the State yada, yada, yada. I really don't know how good unranked Stratford is but they did everyone a favor and exposed some weak spots in Brenham's game. Brenham is still the #1 team to beat in Reg 3 with a big target on their back, while Dayton on the other hand is getting dissed for their 3 loses they will be loose and ready to rumble ! LETS GET IT ON-nnn ! ( in my best UFC pre-fight voice ) ;)
