Couldn't find anything about him, but he's a big guy. Needs to lose about 40 lbs though.. but I'll trust Coach if he said he has good feet.
Not much more on this site but there are a couple of pics.  http://www.maxpreps.com/athletes/q7RzGvxu6E2rk7xYWP8VCQ/football-fall-09/profile-anthony-wilkins.htm

Also St. Peter's looks like a pretty good program.  http://spprep.org/Football

LU needs to win tonight and beat Nicholls State on the road Saturday to make the SLC tourney.  How hard can that be?   ;D
They are once again introducing the seniors AFTER the game.  What can be worse than watching people walk out while they honor the seniors?  Having it after the game insures that it will happen.

Does anybody else think about the departure of Bubba Skelton after the 07-08 season as the beginning of the downward spiral of the the Roc regime.  Skelton was the Mississippi connection that brought the best talent of the Roc era.  The last Skelton recruit that I am aware of is Nabors who is our best player.
Beyond recruiting I thought Skelton was a great bench coach who didn't mind disagreeing with Roc.  How many times during his tenure did we see him directing the team during critical time outs while Roc watched over his shoulder or screamed at refs.

I stated that last year. Also go check out the success that NW Miss. CC had while Skelton was the HC. Then check out what they did before he arrived and after he left. Crazy! Where is he now? Could he be a future LU HC??

Nevermind I found him, he is HC at Village Christian Academy HS in North Carolina.
Bubba left Jones County Junior College in Mississippi?  I thought that is where he went from  Beaumont?  I looked at JCJC site before the season to see if they might have any prospects LU could recruit and he was shown as HC there before the season, I believe.
According to their website, he's still there.  http://www.jcjc.edu/athletics/basketball/basketball.php  Jones County JC is in his wife's home town.

not sure if the energy that we used to have in the Montagne and in Civic Center and MacDonald gym before that will be easy to get back.  Times were just different then in this area.  As far as changing coaches, I've said this several times, Roc's position is much the same as when Abatemarco was hired.  Both came in with great reputations as recruiters and many of the LU faithful thought (apparently) that they would be able to bring those type of players - or at least close to that level of young men - to Lamar.  It just ain't gonna happen.

Since Foster left they have tried different types and personalities of coaches and none have had a whole lot of success.  I certainly don't have the answer, but something needs to be done.
Abatemarco (a sportwriter I know in North Carolina called him Tommy Alphabet) was a good recruiter even at Lamar.  His problem, aside from his mouth, was that he was a lousy coach.  Gimmicks like box-and-one and triangle-and-two were used to the point where they were almost our base defenses.  We turned some very ordinary opponents into All-America candidates playing those.  I'm not part of the Roc lynching party but it does really concern me when I hear Roc talk about all he learned from Tommy A.
5. Actually 4 FCS schools--Cal-Davis stepped up several years ago.

4 FCS - 2 start-up programs
4 D2 - includes Missouri S & T (formally Mo.-Rolla) which has become an independent after de-emphasizing sports--were in conference with NW Missouri, the recently national champs.  USA does get to finish the year with a team called the Boll Weevils.
2 NAIA
no eleventh game.

Overall, much tougher than the Junior College schedule played this year.
6. I know it'll never happen but I'd love to see the SLC have a policy just like Gilligan's; i.e., no games without home-and-home. Take away the SLC and it's more difficult for them to schedule anyone other than the big boys (definitately requiring home and home). Maybe then they'd leave Austin or College Station or Baton Rouge once in a while just to have a better shot at road wins.

7. Very Small DB's and WR's.

I'm glad someone got the roster but I'll bet there are corrections before the official release on the Lamar website.  Does anyone really believe guys weighing 133 and 125 pounds made their high school teams (Atascocita & Austin McCallum) much less survived the Lamar tryouts?  I know they are guys, for the most part, who weren't offered out of high school but Lamar only took about one guy in five who tried out......

8. He played as a sophomore on their 2007-2008 team.  Roc has been known to take guys who didn't finish junior college until after their eligibility was up.  I think Sanders and Todd came a year after the year for which they were originally signed.

Go down to where it says boys basketball.  There's nothing there but a list but it is from earlier this year.
