Remind me again...first years coach against coach with 17 years as head coach...something is not right here. Smaller enrollment. Amazing what new blood can do to a program. Stats and records do not lie.

Be careful criticising our defense. It's more about them being good ole guys than good coaches in Vidor. Stats and records mean very little to this regime.

How can you expect to pass the ball when ever play you set up under center, have to fake two hand offs, roll to the side, and all with a defense that is run blitzing you every play? How about just once maybe, set up in the shotgun? You can still run the ball. But you got give the kid a fighting chance. Our play calling is predictable and routine. Anyone who watches film of half a game will have us down. I saw one play last night that was somewhat "new". Everyone in this district knows to stop Vidor, all you have to do is play assignment defense. Stay in your spot and you stop the big play. I just think the slot t has run its course, we need something different, something that will keep defenses from packing the box against the run.

No playoffs again...Time for our annual slogan...Maybe next year. Good luck Dogs, Indians, Jags and Raiders.
Our kids are too talented and deserve a better outcome than this.

No excuses. But I'm sure you have a chip on your shoulder calling our players "boys" against your mighty Whatley.
Give up emotional responses and look at the fact you were given a gift.

According to my ex-coworker who moved in a home off Pin Oak, the vetting actually started with the realtor. He had a daughter that was going to try out for the swim team. I have heard stories of blue chip recruits that transferred to KHS and either rode the bench or didn't make the team. Their JHS is a football factory and they don't need outside talent.
I'm with you Bigdog, about to put my house up. Son is already going to VISD in 3rd grade with my parents. We are one street to far north and in Cy Fair ISD. That is a total nightmare.

Nope
This whole week Raiders were shown one score...68-7. I promise Jags will regret rolling that score up. Your Homecoming and they nothing to prove.

And you think the status quo will get us wins against quality teams then? What exactly do you suggest? 2 posts and you're some expert?

I don't know, it will depend on defensive improvement, I do think offense can hold it's own with anybody though.

83 pts is awesome but giving up 54 to Lee is not good at all

I was starting to wonder if the scoreboard would just stop if we hit 99 or would it actually roll over to 100? LOL!!! Couldn't decide if it was basketball or track season, either! good win tonight for our Pirates......

I believe this one is just as good liltex. Haylon is the best running back we've had and he's just a junior. Good conversation we had about that last night at the EC game.

DC needs to quit trying to call plays with his stupid numbers. No scheme is worth a darn if you cannot tackle or stop drives. It's like Swiss cheese. Very embarrassing. Not comparable to the level of athletes on the field.

We had another fumble on a kickoff that resulted in a Lee touchdown. Again, we give up 14 points in the first two minutes. Again, they take it to the house the first play from scrimmage. The defensive coordinator need to go and Jeff needs to take it over. I guess scoring this many points is great but we won't make the playoffs if we don't learn to play defense, period. We've never scored 83 points in a game and I believe this is the best Pirate offense I've ever seen. Colby Humble and co. will only get better as he learns the position. And, Colby and Haylon are back next year.

Our neighborhood was like that as well, there were one or two streets that are Lamar Consolidated ISD and the rest are KISD.

I'm pretty close to the program....you would not believe the amount of stud football players that come into Katy and are told they would have to FIGHT for a starting job against players who were underclassmen, smaller and slower than they were put new the "System"...it would be a who's who if I were to put names out there...Many come....then end up at Cinco Ranch, Morton Ranch, Sealy, Brookshire Royal....or go back to their original school. People assume Katy gets tons of transefers and are quick to throw out Donovonn Young's name not realizing he already had a bed and address in Katy before he started HS. Do they get move in's and transfers? Yes, just like every other school, but the move in's happen early with kids going through KYF and The Jr High system.. Sounds like you are close to me....one side of the Street is CFISD.....the other side KISD

If you have kids that play sports, their is a vetting process involved with enrolling at KHS. They are super paranoid of UIL investigations.
Worse thing about living in Katy is the area ready to expand by 75k to 100k over next 15 years. Grand Parkway and Katy Freeway already nightmares. I miss small town living.

Curelover32 reacted to MAYFIELD in Nederland 36 Vidor 30/Final
Actually I don't think they was no worst then Ned coordinators on a few play calls. Vidor like I said has a scheme that's hard to figure, and Ned has a offense that has a lot of weapons. You get a gamble play and some games it plays in favor, and sometimes they don't. Robanadana you hard on DC coach, but it was a offensive turnover that actually cost the game.
