Well that's what I'm wondering with the firing of Barrow, if it's not the coaching , but the kids or lack of talent then why was Barrow fired!? I think he would've done just as good these pass two seasons if not maybe a little better (which is not saying much) if he was still there. But what do I know, I'm just going by what I'm seeing on the field, and it's not good!!! If they don't win any more games this season...Sheeesh

Maaaan that wasn't a good showing at all by Nederland!! Is everyone sure this was the right hire for HC, especially with this record and tonight's performance? Sorry, I 've been on a hiatus but I'm back for the slander! All I'm saying is there has been an influx of Mexican kids who has moved in and they bring nothing to the table football wise and hardly athletic wise. You make it seem as I'm Donald Trump petitioning to "Build That Wall" haha. If anything, they may play soccer, but look at the soccer program!! Nederland was ALWAYS good in soccer now they are at the bottom of the barrel, who would've ever have thought Nederland Football, Soccer, and Baseball would all be mediocre or below average. Times have changed for the worst and it has more to do than coaches, it comes down to athletes and talent! Boys Basketball is the only Boys sport being competitive! And what do you mean the Track Coach won't let the kids participate in individual events!? Track is mainly an individual sport?!

True statements, but Nederland aren't really missing any kids that can truly help, maybe two or three that won't make a huge difference in outcomes of the game. There may be some Dads in here who kids aren't playing that feel a type of way, but the talent pool just isn't there. They're some Basketball players that could help right away, but they only play Basketball, which I hear is encouraged by the Head BB Coach! The AD will have to change that and emphasize to ALL coaches that he wants his athletic program having multi-sport athletes as a requirement. Something Barrow didn't really harp on. I do believe a 180 degree change in culture, and getting out of the prehistoric ways of athletics is concerned can/will change things. But it will take about 4-5 years or maybe longer for a long run in the playoffs.

What specifically am I wrong about!? Go check them out at camp fun, or walk the hallways during transition an tell me I'm wrong. Some people have no clue on what it takes to win at the level PNG is winning right now. Can Nederland improve from how awful they've been the last few years? Yes, but they WILL NOT make deep runs in the playoffs with the kids they have up front!! Smh, people acting like Nederland is a coach away from going to State haha what a joke. Until Nederland emphasize kids to be multi sport athletes, Skill positions running Track and Lineman participating in Powerlifting as well as get some quality Big kids moving in to the school instead of kids who can't speak English then they will have a HUGE hurdle/hurdles to get over.

Nederland is down down, they can't and will not win in the trenches. The D-line will be better than the O-line but that's not saying much AT ALL!! Until they get some lineman Nederland will be average at best!! I feel bad for the running backs, I hear Mosley is doing some things to keep the running back for Nederland which seems a lil fishy but hey you have to do what you have to do to keep the best athlete on the team I guess. I just don't see Nederland getting to PNG's caliber no time soon. The demographics has changed tremendously at Nederland. A huge influx of mexican students have stormed in, plenty who can barely speak english, and don't play football. If they do anything, it's soccer. Nederland has definitely changed and not for the better!!
