Mustangs have given up more than 21 once all year, 27 to PNG and that was all in the first half. They adjusted at halftime, clamped down and came back and won in OT. 5A PNG averaged 40+ a game and was probably the best passing attack WOS saw all season with a healthy ground game. After witnessing what I did last week I see a much improved D from the PNG game that I would be shocked if a primarily run heavy team like LG could dismantle. Not saying cant happen, just that it would be a shocker and I'd give serious props to that team. I know LG fans keep saying "we can pass we just haven't had to all season", but I'm telling you that the WOS secondary is not who you want your QB cutting his teeth on. A lot of teams this time of year find out the hard way that you can't just turn on an effective passing game thats been dormant against fourth round defenses.
Good Luck to both teams. Really looking forward to seeing young Mr. Dobbins against that WOS D. Should be great entertainment no matter the outcome

WOS fans have not been saying LG is a one man show, I did  and I based that off of what I saw at the HJ game. I still say it and will until proven otherwise.

To beat WOS you will have to have a passing game period.A one trick pony want beat  this team.They have one of the best secordary that I have seen in a long time at the high school level.They are well coach and will hit you in the mouth.I saw team against LM and they have a good group of athletes to win it all.They are not big in numbers but they are dam good.Good Luck WOS you made a beleiver out of me.

If you are a true Mustang or a former player then let the arguing with them end. Our motto was "DON'T TELL ME SHOW ME" I respect the LaGrange team and if we get cocky then we are acting like the very people that we love to send home with their feelings hurt. Be respectful and give credit where it is due. The kid is unreal and no your team is no one trick pony. We got work to do so find ways to support the boys and leave the arguing for people who have nothing else to do. We are the Mustang Nation and being humble speaks volumes! It promotes a positive spirit that we need right now so lets get it rollin!! So proud of my boys!!

This is rich you and other WOS posters state LG is a "one trick pony" or one man team than you get on here and say we're saying that. We have been saying all along that LG has many weapons, and if we want to we can pass the ball. Please don't project your bias and assumptions on what we post on this board. Yall seem pretty confident about rolling over the Leps. Lots of bulletin board material on here today.

To the LG fans, I admire the way you guys boast about your one man team. He is talented we can all see that. The WOS football team has an all American on their roster. He will be the first to tell you that he and his crew are a unit.  We know how great he is yet you will not hear us say that he will be the deciding factor to win this game. He will show you his skills on Friday night for sure. The players that your QB should really look out for before ,or if Dobbins or #5 gets the ball is # 57, #54, #53, #42, #52,#50 your boy Dobbins can’t out run all these guys, they are  lean, mean,  quick wrecking machine. These guys will put the helmet on anyone who is wearing gold and purple this Friday night. I would like to hear how good your QB is though?   

It doesn't matter how fast you are like he said when you have 2 or 3 guys already on you before you get the ball kinda hard to do anything. West orange is playing to good of ball at the right time and clicking in all three phases.

I would be interested to find out how many time we hit the ball carrier in the back field last week against LM. It doesn't matter how good the RB is if he has 2 guys on him before he touches the ball.

If your not allowed to coach the way you know how to coach, its hard to be successful. Politics has a lot to do with above said schools.

You honestly can not compare this mustang team to any other team in the recent 4 years. They cleary can't beat the last year's team nor the team the year before that. They have an easier road than anyother year. But I just think that this is their best chance to do something. This team have a lot of 3 year starters and shall be able to overcome adversity and pull away with the win by 2 td's. Go stangs. 
 
I think that they have peaked late where as in the past, they team peaked early and made few adjustments. This year  they are peaking at the right time. I also believe that our passing game is much better than  last year. The guys are catching more passes  than they did last year even though we have some of the same players.  Just IMO.

LOL, you should see the board during district Pud, talk about disagreeing. You would have thought HJ and WOS hate each other.When its all said and done, we all represent 1 area and back each other.

With all due respect let me say this and I know that I speak for those of us that actually put time and effort into evaluating the WOS Mustangs next weeks opponent.
La Grange is not a one trick pony and we as WOS fans know that! Yes he is the fastest kid that I have seen in high school football besides Speedy Noil but he gets those yards due to the excellent crossblocking and pulling that his O-line does to make those holes for him. The LaGrange team is the real deal and we respect them highly just as we have every opponent that we have faced this year. I have watched the HJ/ LG game and believe that I saw two amazing teams leave everything on the field. There are a few questions that I have for my Hj friends but overall it was it was a slobberknocker. A few plays could have changed that game entirely. So to you LG fans please understand that we are not all cocky, we just love our team and want to see our kids win this one. We have faced a lot of adversity this year and to see our kids rise above the mess and junk that goes along with a small town, I am so proud of the boys!!.  Its gonna be a great game to be at! Cant wait for Friday to get here!

LG BETTER TRY AND PASS OR THE RESULTS WILL BE THE SAME AS LM. YOU JUST CANT RUN ALL NIGHT ON WO-S. BETTER MIX IT UP.

We couldn't throw the ball downfield because they had their safeties playing over the top. They were not going to allow the deep pass. We still tried, but it wasn't going to happen. In the second half, we took what they gave us and shredded them on the ground since they were set on committing 4 to 5 players to pass coverage.... See, that's what it means to NOT be one dimensional. You take one away we get you with the other. LM chose to limit our passing attack... and we're fine with that, because we have a stable of backs and will run it down your throat if you commit to much to the pass.

I respect where you gave us our props but to say that 2 interceptions shows a weakness is a little off and a small jab from you. I personally think that 2 interceptions is not a weakness but more of a learning experience for our team. We cant find out what not to do if we don't try it. If I am a coach and saw the film of the LM defense giving up big plays to dang near every team that they played this year through the air then why in the world would I not do it myself. What you need to realize is that since you played your safetys and Db's so deep to stop the pass we used that move to run the ball up the middle. To be honest we did that quite well. Kind of like chess. I make a move and see what you do. Then strike again and go for the checkmate and 34-0 later, I would say that the weakness you speak of is more of an experiment or lesson and it paid off. If 2 interceptions is a weakness and we pulled out the Win 34-0, I believe I would take that weakness all day long. Lamarque is a hell of a team and we respect you guys. That game was tight until halftime but notice the deep ball was deleted and we focused on short passes and the middle of the field with the running game. I love that about our kids they pay attention and make adjustments. Now we need to prepare for Lagrange!
