Just to be clear, I don't know 14.2 nor have I met him. I just wanted to point out the obvious, because "fair is fair".

In all fairness to 14.2, I would be frustrated as a parent too. Here is what I see, and this is only surface level. His son went from a “ featured” RB to a blocker slotted in the WR spot. He probably never lined up in the WR in his life. He is playing out of position, wonder how many other players are in the same boat. His son is a senior and had no opportunity to seek other options. He did what he could as a parent and met with the new coach and I would assume they came to an agreement to be a RB, but…… His son went from a player line up in the backfield to a slot WR. I can bet everyone on this thread would feel some kinda way too.

It’s just a perfect storm. Bad Coaching and not enough stars. Crosby only has 2 RB’s when healthy and 1 go to reciever. Trenches are not there and QB isn’t as advertised

SMH, the whole point was missed, Dunn was just used as a "true" example on how many kids can get discouraged about participating in an athletic program within an ISD. Never said he was not a great athlete. I personally know him as he, Duece, Rodney and NeNe have been to my home several times. Have they been to yours, probably not and probably wondering who the hell is Duece, Rodney and NeNe? You know the athlete, but I know the person.

Can’t see CHS coming out with a win here. I thought from the beginning that Willis wasn’t the right hire for Crosby at this time and had he did more research he would’ve known this wasn’t the best spot for him. He assumed with the success of the program and fan base that he would have a large group of kids to work with.  He was quoted as saying how does Crosby have this many fans and only 3A numbers. The answer to that question may be the disconnect between the two communities that should have been resolved 30-40yrs ago.

0-10 is a real possibility this year. But hey, at least we have a gray coach according to the people on this site. Dude is awful, he’s exactly what I said he would be. We run an offense that doesn’t fit our players, players are playing out of position and the play-calling is pop Warner level.

I was told by a coach that Crosby was getting lucky winning all those games. We were unorganized on defense and played bad technique. We only stopped people because we blitzed a lot. Said we didn’t have the talent to be winning this games we did. If that’s the type of staff we had were destined to become bottom feeders.

“Give him time”, huh? Dude is screwing over one of the more talented teams Crosby has put on the field in recent years. Kids probably checked out after tonight. Y’all were in me in the Summer when I told y’all this dude wasn’t the one for Crosby, unfortunately I was spot on.

No district teams have the amount of D1 athletes like FBM. As you may know, D1 offers are not given out lightly.

They are always dripping with D1 offers and we’re last year. They also were when BH with no offers destroyed them on their field a couple of years ago. See ya in 2 weeks 😎

No Crosby Scores happened in the fourth quarter and only one King TD happened in fourth quarter.
Crosby and C.E. King traded initial touchdowns, King got up 21 in 2nd, Crosby closed gap to 14 then king scored again. 3rd Quarter Crosby defense had 2 4th down stops in the Crosby half of the field (too far for a field goal, too short for a punt.) Crosby closed the gap to 20 then king pulled away to 7 less than the final score by end of third. Crosby didn't score after about midway through the 3rd and C.E. King scored 2x at end of third and during the 4th.
This was not a case of Crosby 1's scoring on C.E. King 2s. It was however a three quarter game and King had the game won by the end of the third.
All the drops/big plays we are discussing happened with 1s versus 1s.

Third week in a row I've know about the film that was sent over because this is my 6th year having a son who plays varsity football at Crosby. My sophomore nephew got moved up to varsity and my freshman son will be up there next year. So for at least 29 more weeks in a row I will have HUDL logins to view the scout film that is sent over from opposing coaches and posted to the team account for the kids to study.
I post things for the Crosby fans that are interested in their team. The reason people see me around town ask "So what do you think about this week?" or "How we looking?" is because they know I do stuff like get up Sunday mornings at 5AM to go sit in the mancave and watch film for three or four hours before I get on here posting what I think about a game.

If the C.E. King QB is a sophomore,Crosby does not need to have the Panthers on next years Schedule. He's a good one. Can't be a 5A team and play a 6A team with 3 of your better players not playing.Just Sayin'

14.2, no need to explain. He definitely don't know any Crosby history, you come from a Football (RB) family. By many accounts (of course debatable) your Dad (RIP) was one of the best RBs ever to come out of Crosby/BST. I didn't see him play, but there are plenty that did and they are pretty close in their opinions. I also understand you did great work while up in the Dallas area with A&M Commerce. I left the Crosby area when you were playing HS but I heard good things.

Joe Cauthen, who's the DC at Utah State now, gave me an opportunity to be a GA. Just couldn't see the benefit in working for free at that time. I often wonder what could've been? Crosby alum Aston Walter went the GA route and is now the assistant RB coach at Tennessee. Probably going to making north of $300k once he loses the assistant title, rather that be at Tennessee or some other school.

Must’ve gotten some bad analysis from my inner-city guy? I’m 50 plays into the CE King vs Westfield scrimmage film and CE King is kind of dominating both sides of the ball. The RB is smaller but better than the one they had last year and the o-line may even be a little bigger. Westfield has a stud RB committed to Rice but I will say, by no means is Westfield’s offense a thing of beauty which is often the case and the reason why they don’t have multiple state titles.

For the Crosby fans that saw the Lamar scrimmage they have a TE that’s just as just as big and fast and just as good, if not better than #41 for Lamar. Just saw him go up and catch one in double coverage then leap over a Westfield defender for about a 35 yard gain.
CEK’s starting QB on this scrimmage tape is ridiculous. Probably 7/10 for about 140 yards, 1 TD and 1 int halfway through. One incompletion is a throw away, one incompletion is a perfectly thrown drop to a wide open receiver and the other is an int in the end zone where the Westfield defender went about 10ft in the air and picked off what otherwise would’ve been a beautiful TD pass. What I’m hoping is that the starting QB on this film is the ineligible guy though, noticeable dropoff in arm talent to the #2.
On defense they’re huge on the d-line again and pretty much in general. D-line doesn’t look as athletic as the guys last year but they do have what looks to be a stud DE. Again, I think Westfield’s offense is helping them out some but this will be our first time running these new plays in a game. If the Lamar scrimmage is any indicator we’re going to have to do a lot of improving just for kids not to be arguing in the huddle about calls and where to line up. New offense seems a lot more complicated than the old ones but hopefully that makes them harder to defend once we get it figured out.

Crosby culture just can't get out of its own way, daddy ball 2.0.... I got it, I know what you may say.... But when the asst AD son is starting at WR as a SOPH, that's daddy ball esp when you have other capable athletes. Varsity FB is tough for underclassmen very few perform good on that level as a 10th grader. Even that state run 2021 class, many of those kids didn't make a mark until their 11 and 12 grade years.
