I guess as much as anything I was wondering if we have got to the point of guys being in spread offenses just because they think they have to because that’s all kids see on tv etc and fear losing skill kids to other spread teams.

Just because you have Hispanic kids doesn’t make a soccer program. It’s about participation and many other elements. As far as north shore football in galena park isd Galena Park is a better comparison. Better yet is HISD. Tough being a one legged man in a bit kicking contest

Maybe it’s just me getting old but it seems that offensive football has gotten well offensive. Seeing bad spread teams makes me think back to when you would see bone based option including double slot, I, wing t, slot t, spread, and at times split backs. lots of poor protection and qb play throughout. no boot/waggle little sprint out game. Olines struggling with zone schemes. For the most part lousy offensive football.

Indoor facilities move air relatively well all the doors open and fans. Yeah it can be warm but just getting out of the sun is a big deal it’s not the same. Just my experience

Generally it depends on the school board and who has the most influence. Small towns can be real fickle. For the most part though football success equates to job security.

End of the day there are schools out there who poach kids from other schools. That is in essence cheating. I’ve been around a lot of coaching staffs some were shadier than others. End of the day if you commit the crime be prepared to pay for the crime. end of the day my personal belief is you coach the ones you got and develop them the best you can. Some years are better than others that’s coaching. Poaching other schools kids so you can win big is selfish. How about the staff that loses those kids and gets canned for not being able to win enough. this goes for all sports boys, girls whatever.

Now that’s out of the way. Standard suspension. Should other schools poach kids from other programs. Thru personal trainers or 7/7 tournaments? Or is it the Wild West

Dudes shopping kids and programs looking for kids has reached critical mass. I completely understand the desire to win but actively going out and poaching players from other schools is wrong. Penalties need to be extremely harsh if proven true.
