Coaches work their butts off. Sometimes down cycles have more to do with dna than anything else. As has been said before you can’t win the Kentucky derby with a mule. Schools cycle through up and down years.

A few questions do the high school coaches have control of the feeder schools in Beaumont? Other questions also arise but competing with the likes of north shore atascocita, summer creek and king involve a lot of sweat equity and buy in from the kids to the coaches and parents.

Seems like we don’t get near the small ball talk we did years back on the board. Dayton folks not near as much anymore either and I miss reading that. Would be fun to see more 21-6a talk but humble area is just out of range.

Not a fan of high school coaches recruiting kids in. Know it’s done a lot especially east Houston and beyond but something about winning with what you have is appealing.

To borrow from Saban. It’s rat poison. Been around it as a dad and it’s as corrupt as it comes both girls and boys. Seen some crazy stuff and even gets better when the way coach funnels kids to select schools. Not to mention some of those dudes were bagmen for college programs. For the most part those organizations (aau teams) look out for themselves and not the kids.

Helped surratt that they dropped a classification also. Not taking anything away from the great success that they have had.

Same bracket summer creek had last year. Go get ready for Katy. 6a region 3 is not a world beater of a bracket for two rounds and last two years half that did not have Katy was an easier bracket.
