Silsbee is still small on OL and DL, these guys are more experienced than last couple years, but still small. They may be loaded with Basketball players, but as far a athletes with speed, there probably 4th best in District? just look at last springs track results. The loss of Mason is bigger than most know, not sure how new guy is gonna develop? might be a year away from being at that level? And Tigers will still struggle with kicker. Not trying to be negative, just keeping it real, they could easily be 4th in district, and make it to Dallas. Theres a lot of floods, Hurricanes , wind events, making grades, Forest Fires, car wrecks, school fights, cheer leader and mom fights, Covid comeback, and a lot of water going under the Bridge , until we find out whats gonna happen. LOL

You missed the most important thing . We got spencer James on our team . Meaning we got the best player on the field.  But I can agree with you not being biased anybody can come in 4th including us that’s how hard this year gone be . But we not losing  in district lol

I've predicted the spreads within a point or two for the first three games.  I figured all three Silsbee opponents would play their best game of the season against the Tigers and that's exactly what happened.  If you watch the Jacksonville YouTube you'll hear their play by play guys say it right out loud, this game was the best Jacksonville played all year.  And we saw for ourselves last night with HJ.  It was touch and go against a team Silsbee beat by 21 earlier and who barely got past Chapel Hill.  And Liberty?  That had to be the best game they played all year, or maybe in several years.

And I expect that Furr, like the others, is going to play their best game of the season against Silsbee.  Furr will not have a letdown.  They will play better than they did in either game against Washington.  I feel this is so because they are a very consistent team.  Early in the district season they beat Washington by 1 and late in the district season they lost to Washington by 1 in overtime.  So far in the playoffs they've won by 37, 31 and 25.  As the competition got a little better the spread dropped by exactly 6 points each time.

The Tigers on the other hand, have been demonstrating some inconsistency.  They play great one moment and sputter the next.  Of course their sputtering is better than some teams best.  It's like Tigers95 said, if the Tigers win it will be ugly.

My heart doesn't like it but my head says Furr by 5.

All that said the mathematics favors Washington to win the region.  This is true simply because their semi opponent Center, though a good team, is second tier.  For all intents and purposes Washington is already there.  Silsbee and Furr have to go through each other to get there.  Washington needs to avoid a letdown on Friday and play a great game on Saturday.  Silsbee and Furr have to play 2 great games.

We (Silsbee) will determine if they good or not , this was the same talk last year not from you but from other folks .. and we sent Furr and Btw to the attic .. I expect the same tomorrow night … everybody talking bout inconsistency. First round we gave up 72 ,second 61 , and 3rd 50 points .. looks to me our defense pepping at the right time .. and if these others teams don’t play they bench it’s most definitely gone be the same results ..

  4. last night was one of them games we couldn't get anything to fall, but what we did do was play defense, Reb and run. I told everybody give us a month to get our boys in some type of basketball shape and we gone run everybody out the gym. from our district to Houston and the metroplex. wait till we actually start knocking down them wide open 3"s. the body language is totally different now. our boys Finna go on a mean run.  you can book the hotels now if you want too.  we win out!

From my perspective this game looked like a pretty even matchup.  Wouldn’t surprise me a bit to see Silsbee take them if the met again tomorrow.  I’d bought into the conventional wisdom that FF was pretty much unbeatable in 4A.  Having seen this game I realize that’s simply not true.  The Tigers made a lot of mistakes and were in no way playing over their heads.  They played the same kind of game they’ve been playing for the last two weeks. In fact I think they played at least as well last Saturday and maybe better.  The Tigers certainly didn’t catch a break from the officiating.  I’ll be generous and call it about even both ways.

Once the Tigers had fought back, which they were bound to do, it came down to pure happenstance, the bounce of the ball, two very good, evenly matched teams playing as hard as they could trying to catch a break or make a break and close it out.  Obviously these two teams strengths were very different but they played off about evenly.

Next year the state had better watch out for whoever comes out of Region III.

    couldnt said it better

  8. we will be back , we didn't realize we was better than faith family until we got deep in foul trouble , then its was whistle show, we didnt help ourselves neither with all the miss layups  and we gotta be more discipline on the  defensive end , cant be jumping with 6"10 every play  , take a charge sometimes..

Seems like Silsbee is peaking at the right time.  Honestly, I thought they would lose to Washington but I was wrong.  If there is a team that could beat Faith Family, it’s Silsbee.  Tigers just need to grab rebounds and don’t have a ton of turnovers.  Silsbee’s style of basketball will give this team fits.  But I’m hoping size doesn’t play a factor.  I have Silsbee losing by 10 in this one though.  Prove me wrong again, Smoke Town.

    Just tune in 🥃..

Go to YouTube if you haven't seen Faith Family play. They lost to Kimball by 3. Silsbee would need to play close to perfect. That could happen. Silsbee and Carter played close to perfect in 2018 with Silsbee winning state. This team is built different but their will to win is incredible.

Only thing I saw was they gave up a 18 point league when kimball started pressing 🤷🏿‍♂️.. I really watch this basketball stuff . Can’t miss me with nothing

they beat Bishop Lynch by 16, who turned around and beat y'all by 20.  i mean, if we're going off of one result.  they also followed up that win against Kaufman by beating Carter, who also beat silsbee... and the same place you're getting your rankings has WOS ranked 567.  how many did y'all beat them by the first time y'all played?  Like I said, I'm pulling for Silsbee, but any effort to dismiss how good FF is is ridiculous.  Silsbee certainly has a chance, but they're definitely dogs in this one.

We beat Wos orange by 40 round 2 .. so we know which game  was a fluke . And went to the plex played under they whistle (homecooking) …. We not the same team when we played in that tournament … give me us by 6

FF lost by 4 to a team that's in the 5A final four, by 16 to North Little Rock (#7 in the nation) who beat Beaumont United this year, Liberty out of Nevada by 17 who just upset Bishop Gorman (#35 in the nation) and is in the state semis, and lost by 7 to Bishop Gorman, the #1 team in Nevada (#19 in the nation).   Those are their losses this year.  I'm rooting for Silsbee like the rest of you, and they certainly have a chance in this one, but I give them 1/4 odds.

Then you win by 5 against a team that’s ranked 278  in the state of Texas  which is Kaufman  and I know for a fact we beat them by 30 if ever play them , I like our chances … to the attic they go
