  1. Shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't....blah blah blah....guess we'll hear that again after August 28th!!!
  2. Those cops will pull you over for ANYTHING! luckily they haven't gotten any money from me either
  3. Actually none of our game are in hull, they are in daisetta
  4. Dascoon the game wasn't in hull last year! And yeah the bobcats never have done much in baseball but last year ya'll only beat them like 7-2 first first game with my little cousin pitching as a freshmam, they'll be better this year with all underclass men last year, losing huck will hurt but we should do better, can't do much worse! But this is a football thread so that's enough from me
  5. It's nothing against the kid, I wish him all the luck in the world! Cuz I know how hard he has worked to be such a great football player, going division 1 is the real deal even if it's just the aggies
  6. It's all in fun! Don't say there aren't any a&m fans going on UT threads talking, "t sips" come on now! And I'm actually on the blackberry
  7. You are nuts! He may help out but they need more than that if they think they have a chance at UT! Colt won't let it happen his senior year, the Faggies don't stand a chance!
  8. Hey hornetfan, how do you deal with those "long seasons"? Can we get some advice from someone that is used to them? Cuz here in H-D we don't experience them anywhere near as much as ya'll do! Unless you were talking about having a long season in the sense of making the playoffs, if that's the case it's no biggie, we are used to that! Take some notes!
  9. I think the aggies can vouch for that! Lol....BMT why not ask someone that played for PA SFA that year how good he was since we beat them 40-22 with subs playing late 3rd and all of 4th!
  10. He was a good quarterback! I mean he was no Colt McCoy or graham Harrell...but he was a leader for our team and an above average 2a qb! So don't down him unless you seen him play!
  11. Look guys, I said I wasn't sure of his stats, and I know I was way off on the percentage, but I got your attention.....all I know is he had a lot of yards passing for a 10 game season. We missed the playoffs that year by 1 yard, time expired on us on the 1 yard line. Beat Anahauc by I think 8 and had to beat them by 14 to get in by point system.
  12. I'd have to say Dusty Evans for H-D, I played with him in '01 (his senior year), that year we led the houston area in total offense per game 5A-1A, we were 2A at the time...think we averaged close to 600 yards a game with at least 80% of it being passing! I'm not sure of his stats, but I know our first district game he threw I think 5 td passes(4 to one reciever) in the first half and sit down the whole 2nd half. Guy had a cannon!
  13. Way too confident after only one win, let's hope these games live up to the hype!
  14. H-D will have a tough time stopping hardin's offense. I went to the Hardin-vs-buna game last year and villamez couldn't be stopped, and myles Taylor looked pretty impressive. I know they stopped them last year but after losing so many seniors I think they are gonna have a hard time stopping them and scoring on them being the first game of the season. I'm pulling for my cats but it's gonna be a tough one with it being the first game in the new hornet stadium, on top of all that
  15. I love who people like to hate cuz they don't have the TRADITION! Tradition being the key word, come on now, a NATIONAL record winning streak that stood for years and is still like #6 on the list! Plus the record for consecutive shutouts, tell me your school has these type of records or is in top 10 in any category nationally all-time? It's the past but that's why he said TRADITION!!!!!!!!
  16. I know H-D isn't as dominant as they used to be, but when has evadale ever been in football? They are a good all around sports, but just cuz ya'll beat us last year doesn't make up for the lack of winning tradition in football. The district is mostly weak with a few decent teams but that's why the teams don't get out of the first round. Good luck to all teams but don't get too big headed after one win over H-D especially if they aren't great like ya'll say!
  17. The score in '02 was 12-0 in favor of OF...I played on the team, the game was in OF. The team attended the funeral of a fallen teammate from the year before, no excuses but it wasn't the best day to play
  18. And for the guy comparing the HD vs OF scores and the Evadale vs OF scores in those years, I ask why? Because if you are trying to compare that to get an idea of what the head-to-head would've been you should've went to the scrimmage between HD and evadale in '02 when we beat them in evadale by like 4 td's and coach barbay still made us run sprints for not winning bad enough, too bad we didn't get to play a real game against them.
  19. As a member of the H-D both of those years I know both scores are right,in '02 the game was a defensive struggle with them scoring on their opening drives of both halfs. Then my senior year (03 FB season) it was much of the same until the end of the first half when modica/farvas(sp?) burnt one of our db's deep, then like 3 turnovers for OF td's...they had a good program that went a few rounds deep both years.
  20. Both huckaby and Carroll from H-D are juniors, maybe they are considered seniors since they will be next year
  21. I would have to say the '79 state champ bobcats.....but back in the '30's h-d had a national record winning streak at the time and would have had a few state championships if they had it back then. H-D is full of winning tradition but a more recent team that I actually played on would have to be the '01 bobcats that lead the Houston area in total offense per game. In '03 we had a good defense but a not so good offense, just ask W.H. Who gave them their first lose of the year (even though their record can be a little deceiving because they played nothing but scrub 1a teams in preseason) they were a good team...they played hard and as a team
  22. They were in the Liberty Vindicator like 2 weeks ago, if I can find a copy i'll post them
  23. I wasn't trying to down any high school athlete...I know how much work and commitment it takes. I was just simply asking a question because of what was going around at the beginning of the year.so if you could clear that up for me I'd appreciate it. Sorry if I sounded like I was knocking on the kid that was nowhere near my intentions
