Well I see this very good Lamar baseball team has scored a whopping 1 run the past 2 games. Same Ole Cardinal baseball team under Will Davis’s leadership. They better think about staying in the WAC because they will have to face HBU in the SLC and can’t beat them. Do not be surprised if they fold the tent during these final regular season games

I certainly hope that Brooks gets the Cards back, however don’t look for it to be a hurry

Probably finish 6-6 in 5th place. Crosby gets 2nd win Friday since the Dogs only have 1 pitcher and they always struggle with BH. Look for PNG to win 1 from GP

You have got that right, super hitter for Texas, but struggles recruiting and coaching. The new pitching coach they hired must not be a very good pitching coach, because they do not have 1 pitcher that competes. It is difficult to distinguish which Lamar sport is worse between football, mens basketball, and softball.

Just do my seem to have enough pitching to sweep any series, plus could not manufacture many runs, even though they had several hits

I would certainly think the conference matters. Quality recruits are going to go to schools that have a winning tradition. Lamar will have a change to have more success in the SLC, however if things don’t change they will not win there either. The SLC and WAC are two extremely weak conferences. You have to win the conference or conference tournament to get an invitation to a regional. As of now the Cardinals will not win any major sport in the WAC or SLC. Hopefully that will change in the future

I personally think Lamar needs to go to Division 2 where they can enjoy success. The SLC does make more since than the WAC due to the financial side. The WAC and SLC are very weak conferences. Hopefully Lamar can find a good AD that can help improve all athletic programs

I can’t figure out Lamar’s problem, however the result is not good. If things don’t change in a hurry, we will see another losing season, and if they make it to the WAC tournament another 2 and done

Well I see the good Lamar baseball team lost another series. Has Anyone besides me noticed that they have lost the final game in every conference series except SFA. It appears that they only have a few good pitchers. With the remaining schedule, I look for them to finish with anywhere from 25-27 wins and 29-31 losses. They are probably going to be about 15-15 in conference. I don’t know about you, but I would call this average at best. It appears that they either do not have much talent, or the coaching is poor, or a combination of the two.

Good pitching and a clutch hit. The concern is that they have only scored 11 runs in the last 5 games and are 1-4 in those games. They have got to get the offense going

Had a bad AD and coaching selections have not been good and because Lamar is a commuter school and hasn’t won in several years they struggle recruiting good athletes
