  1. Nederland played good defense against Austin, Santa Fe, and Texas City. They did not play good defense against Silsbee or PNG. Hopefully they will put all things together against Dayton. If they lose this one, unfortunately they will wind up 6-4 and sitting at the house come playoff time. Dogs, put it together this week!
  2. Don’t know if the Dogs can score enough points to win this one. Offense is struggling
  3. Thanks for the spelling correction. You can call it complaining, I simply call it telling it like it is
  4. Put #11 at RB. He could possibly get 3-4 yards a carry. Simply need to find a QB who is an accurate passer. I don’t know if they have one. I know if they lose to Dayton the season is probably over. I just can’t see them beating BH or Crosby the way they are playing now. I know they beat PNG for Mid County Madness and ONG beat BH, however PNG’s offense is much better than the Dogs offense. Dayton, BH, and Crosby are very capable of scoring a lot of points
  5. Did you watch the offense vs Texas City! The OL was BAD, the QB was BAD, the pass routes were BAD. There is either a major lack of talent are poor coaching are a combination of the 2. Yes, the same coaching staff, so where does the problem lie?
  6. Nederland’s OL is bi, slow, and did not block anyone They have slow runnng backs, and I know this is probably their best QB, however he is the worst they have had in many a year. They either beat Dayton are sit at the house when the playoffs get here. The defense played their hearts out except for the TD right before the half. They are still not very good after 6 games. Who ever coaches the OL and QB positions are doing a poor job.
  7. Nederland’s OL getting destroyed, very slow and can’t stay on blocks and bad game #6 for Nederland’s QB
  8. could well be for the district title, but Woodville could be in the mix. should be a good game. Kirbyville may get the #4 spot unless Buna turns it around
  9. Lumberton is Lumberton They play hard, but not enough talent to be successful They do well in non district because they schedule weak teams. It simply does not prepare them for the district they are in, which is stronger this season than the past 3-4 seasons.
  10. Orange field
  11. Dayton by a lot
  12. I am hoping Nederland, but gut feeling after watching them the last 3 games is Texas City. Way, way, way too many penalties and a QB that is extremely inaccurate throwing the ball is my opinion
  13. Livingston, the Raiders only shot at another win is against Splendora
  14. the passing game, where the QB rarely completes a pass is worse than the running game, so I would say that the offense is not very good as of now
  15. The running game was not the problem. Penalties and the QB that can’t complete a pass was the problem on offense. The QB is a good runner but his accuracy passing is worse than poor. However looking at the backup QB in the last few minutes I can understand why #11 is the starter. Who ever the QB coach is needs to teach him how to throw
  16. well the good news is that the Bulldogs are scrappy and are 5-0 and 2-0 in district. The bad news, they are very undisciplined and possibly lead the district in penalties. The QB may be completing about 20 percent of his passes. The defense is scrappy but average at best. In my opinion they will probably go 7-3 and 4-3 in district if they can beat Dayton. I look for a quick bi-district exit vs FB Marshall. They are 5-0, but not very good. I look for Texas Coty to be a 14-21 point favorite. The Bulldogs better improve quickly
  17. I posted a while back that Lumberton’s only chance for a district win is Splendora
  18. I do like the scrappiness of the Bulldogs. I think they will beat Dayton, Kingwood Park, and Santa Fe. I just don’t know about Barbers Hill, Crosby, or Texas City. I think anywhere from 7-3 to 9-1 before post season. I just believe after watching them, the QB and defense must improve for them to win district. I think they will certainly improve and am hoping it is enough. You just don’t ever know when your dealing with 16-18 year old players and they must avoid injuries.
  19. WOW, what a comeback. I am now eating my words and apologizing to all the Bulldog faithful. They will now make the playoffs, anywhere from 4-3 to 6-1. Also, my apologies to Barrow. I just hope they carried Fusulier off the field. What a fantastic job by him and the defense played much better in the 2nd half
  20. way to go Raiders 3-2 non district and close to 5-0. Looks like the Raiders have a good chance to go 4-6 if they can beat Splendora
  21. I watched Nederland defense vs Silsbee. They were bad, so this doesn’t surprise me. I also noticed that Nederland’s QB can’t complete many passes. I don’t think Big Ned will make the playoffs this year. Plus Faircloth had a hard time beating Neuman and Barrow has a hard time beating Faircloth. I think Nederland goes 3-4 in district this year. Sorry Bulldog Fans
  22. yes, this tune up will probably be the difference between 2-8 or 3-7. They could possibly go 4-6 if they win this one and Splendora
  23. yes, the top 4 Huffman, LCM, Livingston, and Vidor (not particularly in that order) may have a chance to win 2 or 3 playoff games
  24. sounds like some tough luck injuries. although you can probably play with a broken hand. looks like tough luck for the Raiders. hopefully backups can come through
