I hear the Crockett kids haven’t been too receptive to their new coach. Might have had a few key players quit. It should be between Coldspring and Diboll if Westwood doesn’t sneak up on anyone.

Agree, one year after CT has retired Mustang Achievements will be history and LCM will be the dominant program in Orange country! Not because of transfers but because of good disciplined coaching.

Vidor has one kid who maxed out at 640 I believe at the regional meet. That kid happens to be a pretty good DT. Not every team has that either but it’s even less common to have 2 kids squatting at least 650 on the same team. Especially one of those being a RB lol. This is at the 4A D2 level btw. 

I believe he was referring to #32 Hunter Ashworth which is their FB.  If he gets untouched for 3 yards then it is going to take half the team to take him down due to his strength.  If you seen him play you would understand the statement.  He is also explaining why the blocking is effective this year.  You did ask what's up with OF.  #40 Dischler has greatly improved and he is awesome to watch in the backfield.  Not to mention the passing game has greatly approved.

I want to apologize for the delay in getting scoreboard and game threads updated this week.
WOSGrad did most of the updating of the scores. That job now is on me and my wife. We were not able to attend those duties due to our son getting married this weekend. We hosted the rehearsal dinner Friday night and the wedding was Saturday evening, all down here at the beach. We were very busy to say the least. I am just now getting the scoreboard updated. Will attend to the game threads and pickems later today or tomorrow.

How well have we recovered from our injuries?
Will we keep our cool after being provoked, which was a factor last year?  For some reason Buna pushes a lot of buttons when they taunt, everygame has taunting but we seem to really not handle it from Buna
Buna--New HC, New Scheme's
Learning curve seems to be causing the program issues early this season or have they been holding back?  Has the injury bug hit them as well causing the lack of offense?  0-4 Losses to larger schools OK but the lack of offense from Buna is puzzling they usually are at least competitive
 
Usually a battle between these two Teams so I wouldn't expect anything less, Hoping for an injury free night as we Open District.

Statement from FBCA:
FBCA is aware of an inaccurate social media post concerning a football game versus Vidor High School. The social media post alleged that FBCA was “unwilling to play Vidor for the city’s past.” A full investigation has been conducted by school administration, and at no time were any statements of this nature made by Fort Bend Christian Academy personnel about Vidor’s history. Due to Tropical Storm Nicholas, our original Friday opponent, Van Vleck High School, had to cancel this week’s game. Immediately, our Head Football Coach was approached by a few schools to play in place of that cancelled game. After considering our options for a game this Friday, FBCA made the decision, in the best interest of our students and families, to play a local team that would allow us to not miss additional academic time in the classroom and not cause extensive travel to participate. Before agreeing to play Fulshear High School, we offered to play Vidor High School at FBCA, but they declined due to having already sold tickets for a home game. We sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding or concern that this may have caused the Vidor High School community.

I think folks should know how we got here, before CC game we have this many starters lost/gone 2 to injury, 1 to removal from team, 3 quit-2 over sprints 1 for knee pads . 2 more starters did not finish game Friday.  I'm not giving excuses, just straight info, the Team was expected to be setup as one of the best to come through and make a deep playoff run(State I didn't think so, but hey dream on).  Teams lose players all the time I get it, Coaches should have backups ready.  Woodville has to revamp their team and canceling this pre-district  game (which wouldn't have been thought of back when) unfortunately is probably for the best, COOLAID DRINKERS OR NOT. Now I look for the team to rally and fight for each game, let the chips fall where they will. Sorry for the trouble LCM. 

I am a little shocked by this one. I thought that Woodville would "come out swingin'" after the loss last week to Newton. You are completely right though about the turnovers. If they continue to turn the stinking ball over, it doesn't matter how explosive their offense can be; they'll continue to lose games. I hope they get a handle on this quick... come on Woodville, take care of the football..!!!! Let's GO.

Silsbee contacted Hardin and Hardin said no. Stated they were out of school due to Covid.
