Depends on how you're defining great.

Where is the word great in anything I said??

Mitchell has had 1 division 1 basketball player ever in his program and guess what? He was district champs in that kids senior year. Imagine if he had multiple D1 athletes like a Sigler, Green, or Boutee. We don’t judge coaches how they should be judged in SETX

I do.  The further along we go, the more I wonder how much of the improvement has been Mitchell, and how much has been dropping in classification and having a generational player for the first 3 years after dropping.  his only year in 5A he didn't do any better than the guys before him.  Once he got away from Central, Ozen, PAM, and Nederland, combined with having the best? player in Lumberton history, they had a couple of good seasons, including the district championship with the fortuitous covid win over silsbee.  But since then, we're looking at missing the playoffs 2 out of 3 years, with a 4th place seed the other, which wasn't even a possibility for the guys before him.  Would any of the Lumberton teams before 2014 have made the playoffs if 4 teams went?  I honestly don't know.  I think Mitchell has improved the program some, and the basketball culture in Lumberton to some degree, but I also think it's time to quit throwing his name around with the Jouberts and Greens and Siglers and Sutherlands, etc. like some of his biggest fans like to do.  It's great that he has the support of the community, but that doesn't change the results.  It's okay for him to just be a coach who had a couple of pretty good seasons with an all-time great player at a school that has traditionally not been very good.  Maybe he can get them going back in the right direction, I don't know.  .

We aren’t dumb here. We all know that people in this area like to judge coaches. I’ve coached at a high level long enough to know if a coach is good not based off of wins but based off of potential. Lumberton has had some of the worst basketball players I’ve layed my eyes on and manages to make them competitive every single year. I would like to see these SETX elite coaches get the rosters that Mitchell has gotten and see if they can win (they wouldn’t). Until I see them have the caliber of players Mitchell has and win you can’t say he isn’t a great coach.

Uh, NO!  Towards the end of the election, 4 States stopped the counting.  All 4 States were being won by President Trump.  A couple of days later, Trump lost all 4 States.  The most glaring of the con games was Pennsylvania:  Trump was up 700,000 votes when they stopped the count.  A few days later Biden "wins" by 40,000 votes.  "IF" you were actually paying attention, there is no way you could come to the conclusion there was not fraud!

So the only states that were correct were the states that Trump won handedly or were there corruption in those states as well? You people are delusional and it's a shame I belong to the same party as most of you. If there were election fraud then why didn't it go to the supreme court that is controlled by conservatives? OH WAIT, IT DID AND THEY LAUGHED IT OUT OF THEIR DOORS. Also, Trump and his cronies went 1-52 in litigation against voter fraud in 2020. For a guy being as sleepy as Joe (and believe me he is) he sure did pull a fast one on Trump. Give me break!

I would venture a guess that, those that live where this weather is commonplace, are better suited to handle it.  I would bet their homes are better insulated than those in Texas, therefore, energy consumption not near as high.

What you’re saying is not even true. But even if you’re correct (which you’re not), I don’t think a once every 50 years event warrants spending millions, at the least, to “winterize” turbines, oil wells and pipelines. It’s an anomaly.

So no other state went through a once in 50 year event? How are this states able to keep the lights on but we aren’t?

Personally I believe they ought to do a forensic audit on all machines and ballots in all states. He who has nothing to hide, hides nothing. There is also proof that a lot of these voting machines were hooked up to the internet.

I agree with you here. I just didn’t like that they specifically chose the key states that were lost and contended those.

It’s not constitutional to certify fraud. 4 swing states violated the constitution by allowing other entities besides the State Legislatures to change voting laws. Only State Legislatures can enact voting laws. It specifically states that in the US Constitution. I wouldn’t have certified that fraud either.

I understand that but there were races there that were won by Republicans that they did not challenge and said that those were legit. Another question I wanted to ask was why did they only oppose the states that Trump lost? You don't have to answer that but these are the questions that people want answers to.

How are you holding Cruz accountable?  Have you called his office?

I actually called Babin and Cruz multiple times. But for some reason they won’t return my calls. I also called them because I wanted to know their reasoning for not certifying the votes of this last election. I guess they don’t want to talk to someone who voted for them but disagree with how they have been governing.

Liberal logic 101 ... Ted Cruz going to Cancun for a day is evil - but every single Democrat in Congress spending a month on a sham impeachment, then going on vacation for a week with no COVID relief is perfectly fine.

    1. I’m not a liberal

     2. I’ve voted Republican my entire life.

    3. I agree with you on the “impeachment sham”.

I can tell...if only Ted had stayed, all those folks would have been comfortable.

Seriously, lot more things to be concerned about than this, like the 53,000 unemployed folks after biden shut down Keystone and progress on the wall.

Well this thread is specifically about Cruz going to Cancun so if you want to have a conversation about the pipeline we can go over and have that discussion but I assure you I agree with you on that topic.

Not sure if you're referring to me but if you have read many of my posts, you'll see I don't care for many politicians and don't care at all for either party.

You, however, seem to be the one concerned about actions of a politician that have absolutely no effect on anyone.

News flash, the GOP has been hijacked by moderates, soon to be democrats.

Elected Texas senator flees to Mexico as millions freeze, some freezing to death literally. How you don’t see anything wrong with that blows my mind.
