Go do your HW…. he took over that program in 99 i belive and 01-02 took them to the regional tournament right before he left for Kountze

Joubert got it turned around before he came to Kountze I remember In like 2008 they were decent and made a few playoff appearances from 2009-2015 (they knocked my son out of playoff contention one of those years )

Will be a tough task but they can still get in. I think running off whitmire was the biggest mistake they could have ever made for that basketball program.

BIG week for a few teams this week. OF going to Anahuac and to Kountze with second place finish on the line. Buna going to Anahuac and to EC i believe they have to win at least one of these to keep their playoff hopes alive Kountze going to kirbyville and gets OF at home with a slip up to kirbyville can put buna right back in the hunt

I think people need to understand that this team for kountze is 6 sophomores 2 juniors 1 freshmen the only kid with real varsity experience is Sells. the big Warren kid played about 7 mins a game last year. also the 4 teams they are battling with all have at least 6 seniors on the team. ( i still think kountze sneaks in the playoffs ) This is where the lack of consistency comes from. A year from now the district is in trouble , and 2 years from now the entire state may be in trouble at the 3a level.

EC better figure it out real quick because going into OF friday will be tough and then they will get a desperate buna team this can be rough for them over the next week or they can bounce back and run the table the rest of the way. depends on what team shows up

He is only a sophomore and the kid can flat out play one of the best players in the area no matter the classification

Officials are not doing a great job this year. some of these guys don't know the rules when it comes to the game. part of the problem from a fans perspective is the officials who carry themselves like they don't do anything wrong. everyone knows they are going to make bad calls and are going to make mistakes but when you act like its still is the right call and everyone else you is wrong is where i see people get upset. just say my bad and get the next one right will take them a long way.
