  1. Leave HJ comes to Nederland.Leaves Nederland goes to Vidor.Leaves Vidor comes back to Nederland.Leaves Nederland goes back to HJ.If Nederland mistreated him why did he come back?He has learned to run from his mistakes so he does not face consequences for his actions. He knows if he has talent some will welcome him and make him into some type of victim. At some point his talent will dry up and he will have to face the music!Hope he changes his ways but it looks like there are to many enablers in his life.
  2. From what Colton has told my son and his dad has told me,he is playing.
  3. Will be a real dog fight for the 1 and 2 spot for Nederland.Lots of quality to choose from.Sanderson,Raines,Stampley,Nevala,White,Weisbrod and Ramoin. Will be interesting to see who rises to the top.20-4a will be fun to watch.
  4. The reason I started posting on this thread is someone attacked Nederlands decision making process.I hate the kid has been brought in so much but how else do you defend the process?Someone just stated that it is ok for Nederland to give chances but no one else.Attacked again.Let me remind you that Nederland does enforce consequences. Nederland banned him from playing varsity baseball last year.If he did not do something recently, why would he be packing up and moving to HJ.I tell you why!Nederland has had enough and figures a fresh start is best for all involved. If you think Nederland did not want him as part of the program why would they have allowed him at school till now?And yes,no one wants to compete against this kid.I have enjoyed watching him play. When he leaves the field, is when the problems have happened.
  5. Lack of Bigs!Weisbrod gets in foul trouble and has to play cautious.I would hate to see what the rebound totals would look like with out him.You can get away with a little lower shooting percentage if you are getting more boards!
  6. Rounder your words were Robbins would be chicken@##$% if he did not sign the release. If he dose not sign the release the kid is somehow mistreated. How is that not being a victim ? Rumor is he will sign the release. I do hope he turns his life around.Everybody likes a good come back.Rounder you are like fighting with a pig.You enjoy it and I am getting muddy! Please let this go and lets play ball!p.s.I do feel like you owe Robbins a apology. Bmtball he also did something bad this past week. How does he pay for that?I guess if you have talent you get a lot more chances.Hope he goes to HJ and then the majors and has a great story of how he turned his life around.
  7. Bitter by no means, tired of rounder trying to make him a victim yes.Allowing a kid to go down the road to turn his life around is the right thing to do but not to someone you have to play. This has been tried and did not work.Dylan has messed up three big times that I know of.In most baseball circles that means you are "out". He did not lose respect of his team mates until his last incident.Winning is not everything.Getting rid of someone in your program that is not doing the right things to open up a spot for a kid that is working hard and doing the right things is a good life lesson!
  8. Free agency and sanctioned sports two different situations.Same reason the Honey Badger for LSU was not released to a team they would play.Quit acting like he was a huge benefit for Nederland. All he really did was help them win a District championship his soph. year.Ned.would have probably done that with out his help.He had health problems during the play-offs and did not participate.Since then he has been nothing but a distraction for the program.Hope everyone writes us off this year because we do not have him.I think this group will respond well to being a underdog.
  9. I am sure Dylan will not find a baseball coach and community that is more forgiving than Nederland. One family took a gamble that most people would not dream of to help the kid turn his life around. So forgive me for feeling like he owes Ned.gratitude.As for as investment,it would not be fair to compete against someone who you made a little bit better than he was when he came to your program. He knows most of Nederlands hitters strengths and weaknesses. He also knows the teams tendencies and game plans. It would not be right to pass that information to a team in the same district as Nederland. It would sure make it easy for him to pitch against Ned.I hope Dylan lands on his feet and has a great story to tell later in his life of how he turned things around.Good Luck and Lets Play Ball!
  10. Rounder the shot about Robbins as a man is way below the belt IMO.I do not think you know how much Robbins tried to help the kid.He caught a lot of heat from some for giving him so many chances to clean up his act.I know he still hopes the best for Dylan but it is not going to happen in Nederland.Sometimes you have to cut a man loose!
  11. I think he will sign off for him to play at HJ.It would have not been right to let him compete against Nederland for a Vidor team that is in your district.Ned had some investment in him.Not fair to allow him to compete against you!
  12. BaseBow,tell Trevin to get in touch with Jordan.Sounds Great!
  13. Bulldogbacker, sorry that I misunderstood your meaning. I do apologize.I hope the Dogs prove 11 bchill wrong this year.IMO there will be good talent on the field, bench and underclassmen teams.Keeping good team chemistry will be a challenge! If the Dogs can play with real enthusiasm and not the" fake stuff" the sky is the limit for the Dogs!
  14. Bulldogbacker you know how to stir the pot early.Dogs did have a tough year in the clutch last year.We have a chance at a new beginning of being clutch. It is contagious. If there had been a pool on who would have been the best hitter last year about the only one who would have bet on Barrow would have been Seth.Things change from year to year some hitters get hot others go into a slump. My point is that Brett will get to show what he can do.For you to get on here and say he is the best hitter in the program is very disrespectful to some really good hitters.Barrow was the best hitter last year hands down!
  15. In Dravanti Johnsons defense, he played outside. Dravanti had a great soph. and jr. season received a full ride to Texas before his senior season. Alot was expected from him his senior season. When he made a mistake people over reacted. When teams made a game plan I am sure it did not involve attacking Dravantis side.Chris Guttieres had a great season playing the middle LB position.Chris had more tackles than Dravanti in games.I saw a similar situation play out with Jordan Wood this year.He was the only unanimous defensive first team all district pick his soph. year. His junior year he was first team all district and super team member his junior year. Alot expected of him his senior season. He also played outside most of the time. Stampley had a awesome season playing a full year at middle LB position and deserved every honor he received. He had around 150 tackles and Wood had around 120.When giving out superlative awards linebackers off the same team are not a common site. Dravanti and Jordan had a hard getting the tackle totals from the outside.Just because they did not have the stats does not mean they did not play well!
  16. One has to wonder why a kid with speed like Tony is not used as a receiver. He only had one interception on the year.Leads me to believe that he does not have very good hands. In the Ned. game I never saw him put a good hit on anyone. The only impressive thing I saw from him is when he ran Shaw down from behind. His catch- up speed is probably what accounts for his high forced fumble totals.Hitting from behind jars balls loose. As for as All-District and All-State votes go they mostly go on yardage totals and tackle totals that can be very misleading oh and touchdown totals and hype from camps. They do not worry about missed tackles and turnovers.
  17. Dove, there are quacks in every profession and I think Nash has found one in his Big 12 scout. To evaluate a player in his secondary sport is crazy.Example Coby Couron's role on the Ned. Basketball team is very limited. His role on the Football team was someone who led by example with high intensity because the program viewed him as a vital part of success. If a scout passed him up for what he saw on the basketball court,It would be that Football  programs loss. What would impress me as a scout is that Coby has decided to give up basketball this season to put on more size and strength to help him at the next level.I know it will hurt the Ned. basketball team that Washington and Couron have made a tough decision.I hope they understand.
  18. I might apologize if you can explain what you meant by "no pads and helmets to hide behind".That is vague.
  19. Dove you truly do not know the character of the two Nederland players to make a comment like you did.I promise you these two do not need to hide behind pads. They have great character!
  20. I would also like to give a special shout out to Jordan Wood.Selected first team all-district the last three years. Also the only Bulldog to participate in all 38 games the last three years. He was a part of 28 Bulldog wins.#25 Linebacker Jordan Wood,I am so proud of you.Words cannot describe!Go Dogs!
  21. This is my nickname for the whole defense,"The Transformers"These players are the most polite baby-faced group off the field. When they put the pads on they turn into some of the toughest players that no one wants to mess with.I love how they can turn it on and off.Makes them alot better to live with. I like the GOAT for the defensive line.I think they are the greatest ever in Nederland.I also think the linebacker duo is the greatest of all time in Nederland but I am a little biased.
  22. 1.Nederland 2.PNG 3.LCM 4.Vidor
  23. Duplant was the Super Gold MVP as a soph.Hope he gets his life in order and helps lead NED to a DC and great play-off run.Everyone likes a good come back story.Duplants problems have never been on the field issues. The kid works very hard between the lines.Go Dogs!
  24. One of my earlier posts this year, I felt like Montana was over-hyped by Vidor fans.Wish it was the only time I was wrong in my life.Do not think I have ever seen one player mean so much to a team.It has been a pleasure to watch you lead and play two very tough positions so good!Good luck in what ever you decide to do with your life.
  25. Dayton's kicker, punter is the real deal.Best I have ever seen. The ability to do both so well is very unique. The on-side kick was top notch also even if I think we got hosed on the call.Anyone know who he is going to sign with.
