Buzz,I appreciate your support for our dogs.Please help others how to be smart fans.Do not cheer when your team is about to run a play.I felt like our fans could have been a contributing factor to the motion penalties last night.Again I appreciate your support.For the Dogs,thanks for the exciting football games this season !

I informed posters about Shaw's abilities on a earlier board.Some people acted as if I were crazy.He has proven me wright as I knew he would.Another one to watch in the near future is Colton Kimler.His combination of speed,size and hands is awsome!

V idor,I feel your pain.Nederland seems to get a questionable call frequently at the Reservation.Indians want to talk about how they would have won if they would have taken the 3 and played for overtime.We had a phantom holding call that took 7 off the board.Would have put us up 10-0 early in the game.Instead,we trailed 7-3 at the half.Again,I feel your pain!

AdminBabe,Thanks for pointing out how well the linebackers played.I thought Brown played a great first half and Wood played an outstanding second half! Broussard also made an outstanding interception.Our front four gets alot of credit and rightfully so but they are also backed up by good talent.P.S. Can someone please tell me how Shaw was holding on the touchdown that was brought back.Talk about a turning point in the game.

Playing at Lamar would help out the parking situations at PNG and NED.

If Nederland applies quick pressure to PNG's quarterback Nederland wins.If not,PNG wins.

I.M.O. The punting game was won heavily by B.H. Hope our coaches can learn from it and use Carson in similar fashion during district play.I know he has a good leg.Talked to Carson's dad last night and this morning things sounded good and I wouldn't be shocked to see him play against Vidor.Tough Kid! Great job by B.H. If you love defense ,you wouldn't find a better high school football game.Sure was tough to lose this one but I guess know we know how W.O.S. feels!

I.M.O. Nederland's defense is not playing as well as it did last year.Using TCU's 4-2-5 defense is not working as well as the 4-3-4 we ran last year.Hope we can learn a lesson from our offense and use both defenses and see which one works best through coarse of the game.How well did the 4-2-5 work for T.C.U. against Baylor? I guess my question is we have most of our same players back on a defense that was good.Why change it. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

I am wondering if Justin has a drivers license.If so,what age does it show him to be?

Coach English is the best coach Nederland could ask for.If you are a basketball or baseball and basketball guy you fit great in his development plan.Razor that is why I disagree with your reason the three guys left the basketball program.They feel like they get to basketball to late from football season to compete for a starting position.Did not matter how well they played their freshman year they were never allowed to become part of the starting five.English has very few football players play basketball for him at the varsity level at Vidor and Nederland.Shaw.Wood,Barrow and Couron were known as the "Football Guys".They figured this out and moved on.Just like some on this forum should do!Brubaker, I would love to see Shaw,Wood,Barrow,Couron and Smith practice a week together then take on the "Basketball Guys". Student Athletes against the Basketball Guys!I am sure it would draw a few people to watch it.   

Dayton's offense is awesome! Playing Dayton early every year sure seems to help our defense for the remainder of the season.Dayton's backs make our defensive guys get back to the basics approach to tackling.Kind of like a baseball player taking nothing but b.p.and having to face a pitcher throwing 90 the first game.Got to quit going for the big hits and just try to make contact against some guys.I have faith that our guys will adjust and we will have a great season!Dayton good luck this season.Looks like you guys will be playing some very high scoring ball games.Your kicker will sure make a difference in the close ones!Go Dogs! 

40 times are over rated I.M.O. Shaw is very fast and shifty! He gets to top speed quickly.You would have a hard time catching him in a phone booth.I look for big things from him this year!

As a soph. last year,Jordan Wood had some big hits for Ned. last year.Looking forward to watching him '' Lay Wood'' for two more years! 

Penny, thanks for your evaluations.The middle is great and if you try to hit the quick slant you have to deal with the wing spans of Couron and Carr.Penny, I also can"t wait for the duo of Shaw and Taylor as kick returners.Talk about dynamic!

My son plays linebacker behind Malvo.He told me Malvo played great and sure made his job much easier!Sounds like they have pretty good team chemistry going on this year.Can't wait till Thursday!

I.M.O. Little League is cub scouts with bats and select is very cut throat. Umpires that feel like their judgement should not be questioned should not be a umpire .Coaches figure out that nice guys finish last and the squeaky wheel gets the oil ! It is human nature to give into someone that is complaining.Ask a husband.Also,I feel like to many umpires like to be noticed when being unnoticed should be the goal.I have umpired and coached and realize that common sense must prevail over just showing your knowledge of rules.Ejecting players and coaches should be a last resort but sometimes has to be done.All this nonsense is part of baseball.If you do not like it,take up fishing!   

How many kids would give up their dream to spend as much time as they could with dad ? Character counts! Would love for him to coach my kid.

Nederlands defensive front will answer any questions teams have about their offensive lines.The front is backed up by a first team and second team linebacker along with the best returning corner in the district I.M.O.Some one once stated that defense wins championships.If so,"Watch out for the Dogs!" 

The Nederland players played well in the game last night.Brown,Duplant,Wood,Raines and Broussard played for the Blue team.Laselle played for the Red.Red jumped out to a 6-0 led.Then the Bulldog staff of Brown,Broussard and Wood and great defense held the Red score- less for the rest of the game.Hitting Wood 2-2,Brown2-2,Duplant 1-2,Laselle 1-1.Players from other teams played great but I like bragging for the Dogs.The Blue team stormed back to win 11-6.
