1. Congrats to the boys and coaches...let's stay focused and finish this thing out! Proud of ya'll!
 2. Congratulations to the Pirates on what sounds like a great game...
 3. The time for bragging and chest pounding is after the season when you've actually won it....keep it classy guys...
 4. I've given up on making predictions on games in this district...pulling for Warren to continue the hot hand...best wishes to both clubs....
 5. Hey what a great Warren/Hardin game thread we got going here....  ::)
 6. I can't ever remember this district being this competitive from top to bottom...
 7.
I think Cross is still the best man for the job.
I admit I have not followed PA much but what he has accomplished there with the resources allotted is impressive...not saying he is the man for the job without seeing who else is in the mix...just saying impressive work..
 8. Hang tough Pirates...our district is wide open for any team...Good Luck the rest of the season (except of course with your remaining game against Warren )  ;D
 9. To answer the question of this thread ask yourself this... Has he had time to get his own kind of players in the system? The answer is yes....Has he had the support of university administration, alumni and fans? My answer is yes again....Are we significantly better than we were 4 or 5 years ago? In my opinion the answer is no....I thank Roc for his effort but I believe its time for a change....
 10.
It is as good a district as the Kountze and EC district, which too could win alot of 3A districts.
Got to disagree here...the top 3 in the north would finish 4, 5 and 6th if they were in the south district...
 11. A 50,000 seat stadium is not impressive when there are only 11,000 fans in it...I would prefer a stadium we could actually fill to at least 75% on a week to week basis....30,000 to 32,000 at the most, and that's being extremely optimistic, until we see if the fan support is there long term.  My fear is that we had alot of "curious fans" this year and that half of those won't come back next season...I hope not but this is SE Texas and our support of anything other than high school football has been spotty at best....Hoping for the best though....
 12.

I gave up going to LU games two years ago.....what a waste of the last few years....  :(
Crucify this t-shirt fan, how dare you!
Proud alum.....but my time and money will not be wasted watching Roc get out coached....
 13. I gave up going to LU games two years ago.....what a waste of the last few years....  :(
 14.
Gotta feel for the Warriors. They have an extremely young club and for some reason the powers to be pulled them out of their holiday tourney so they go from Dec 17th to Jan 4th without a game. The worst thing on a young club is not playing.
WHSALUM...where is Coach Hand these days?
 15.
ok. But do you remember them getting beat by warren, or kountze, or hardin, or buna? No. Dont hate on woodville. Anyone who saw the Newton/Woodville game last year knows that Woodville outplayed newton for most of that game. It was a great game with two great teams. Newton slipped by with a win.
For years Woodville has had a wealth of talented athletes but no team discipline...This has been absent since the great Coach Houston retired...In alot of districts you can get away with talent alone but in a district with EC, Anahuac and Newton you cannot...until Woodville proves it can put it all together I have a hard time picking them to get over the hump and beat one of these 3 teams for a playoff spot.  As for the 2011 season I think EC, Anahuac and Newton will be the top three again...EC because their EC, Anahuac because Barbay has build a strong program and Newton will bounce back strong after finally getting over their terrible loss...
 16.
He would have come back to Houston but the Astros made it clear he wasn't wanted back.  Good for Lance, he deserves more than the also-rans that the astros have become.
Time to move on....I enjoyed watching the Puma play but when it was his turn to be a team leader he failed...afraid we're in the middle of our wandering time in the desert....
 17.
You are right Eagleswoodville #1  ,,I have given next years predictions a lot of thought and here is my revised predictions. Newton Buna Ahuhauc Hardin Warren E.Chambers Woodville
Nice reply purple  ;D Looking at this without wearing homer glasses I see it this way: 1. EC 2. Anahuac 3. Newton 4. Buna 5. Woodville 6. Hardin 7. Warren or Kountze 8. Kountze or Warren
 18.
Final?
Don't remember the final score but EC won....by alot....
