Sounds pretty obvious and not a real deep take, but if Kountze is shooting it well, they should pull away. If they have one of their notoriously bad shooting nights from deep, Orangfield has the shooters to get hot and pull the road upset.
-
It should be a heck of a game. I expect them to be a lot more competitive than last years games.

I do agree that Kountze has played the much tougher schedule.
Those losses to Westwood and Tyler Chapel Hill kind of stick out to me in regards to Orangefield.
But, that's why we play the games.
I certainly will be there Tuesday night.
What’s your line?

EC has a couple talented Freshman guards. They won’t struggle for long. But as we saw with Kountze last year, young teams struggled against heavy upperclass teams that have a lot of experience.

I'll be attending the PA Memorial at Nederland game Tuesday night. Really think this will be a doozy of a game. Both teams have been playing well of late.
A couple of other Tuesday night games that are interesting. West Brook and United in the Montagne Center is always a treat. Probably go to this one the 2nd time around. For the small school folks, San Augustine at Corrigan-Camden should be a good one. Two teams battling for first in their district.
As for Friday, I'm thinking about going to either WO-S at Silsbee, Central Heights at Hemphill, Orangefield at Anahuac or Brookeland at Leggett.
If Nederland wins Tuesday night, then their game at Barbers Hill Friday will currently be for 1st place in district. Might have to give that one some consideration.
I am up to 93 teams and 78 games this season. At sometime this season I want to see San Augustine, Hemphill and Leggett. All the other teams I have listed in this post I have seen this season.
I seen San Augustine at the Tenaha tournament I believe. They have an athletic squad but struggled if I’m thinking of the right team.
As far as Ned/Pam, I think Nederland edges them out in a close one.

Kountze at Anahuac is an interesting game. Kountze can struggle with big Centers, and Anahuac has a pretty good one. They going to need to limit 2nd chance points.

Is that Booker T Washington out of Florida? The bracket shows it being a Florida team.
-
Also curious to hear a bit more from FootballFan11 about how things are going so far..

22-3A could come down to the wite, as usuall with last couple playoffs spots. Anahuac is a bit better than I originally thought they would be. With Buna and Orangefield playing a fairly tight district opener, it should be a fun district to watch.

I knew East Chambers wouldn’t be as good as last year but Didn’t think they would lose by 49 at home to Kountze. Also what a different team for Kountze this year… What’s crazy is that in this blowout is Sells only had 9 points. Total team win.
He was a point away from a triple double. Offensively the points were spread, but as AAW provided, Kountze struggled shooting. As far as playoff runs, Kountze can make a run if the dominoes fall right. In my opinion their best run will be next year. Essentially bringing all their minutes back next year.
-
It didn’t feel like they had a ton of opportunities. They are really working to get the ball up the floor.
-
Kountze didn’t shoot the ball very well at all that half.

Has anything changed?
Nothing major on this end. I was curious if the slow start vs Warren for Kountze or the loss to Anahuac for EC Tuesday changed your impression on tonight’s game.

Coach Whitmire has had alot of success against Coach Joubert in the past 7-8 years. It’s going to be a lot of fun watching what these two have planned. Two talented teams, and two very good coaches. It should be a lot of fun.
