The TXHSGBB regional rankings for Region III come out tonight at 8 pm!

Things get interesting

Deweyville had to win both meetings against Sabine Pass to claim the 3 seed. A split would force a play-in game. 

First meeting, Deweyville wins 40-34 at home.

Second meeting, Deweyville hops on a bus to Sabine Pass and they pick up their second win in a day to claim the three seed.

Our state rankings will be out Oct. 26. 

Will there be anyone streaming games in SE TX? We at TXHSGBB.com would like to include them on a list of games that will be streaming on certain days.

21 5A should be interesting for the top spot between BH and United.    We play both this year.

Yea BU in 6A was a typo, it's fixed. But yes, don't be surprised if they are included in the 5A poll.

Region III week at TXHSGBB.com's preseason rankings is here. Here is the schedule for regional polls being released on the website which is released at 12:30 pm daily Monday-Saturday.

I appreciate this website and the GBB folks for SE TX scores. This year, I want to hone in on this area. I understand it is extremely difficult to get info for the smaller classifications. I'm asking for help as I'll be on here more frequently during the season for scores, rankings, etc. Please PM me if you are a coach on here or if you already been in contact with me in the past, you know what to do!

AAU does not follow UIL guidelines, of course. Some are self-governed by their organizers and coaches. 

For UIL, there won't be any tournaments for anyone in the state. TAPPS is the only organization at the moment that can host and have teams participate. 

Scrimmages can also have no more than four teams at the same venue

(example: Team A, B, C & D have scrimmages at Lamar University. Team E wants in but can't participate because of this restriction.)

New basketball rules from the UIL as they slipped the info in as they announced the fall sport calendar.

• No tournaments of any kind, including showcases
• Teams can have two scrimmages, with no more than four teams can meet at one place for a scrimmage. Sites that are used to have more than four are not allowed.
• There is no more regional tournament, the regional semifinals and regional final will go on as a normal playoff round

The moves have been a bit quiet in SE TX but notable jobs are open in WOS & PNG. 

PNG is a good gig for an up and coming coach, IMO.  

We at TXHSGBB.com are setting up a competition that features gyms in the state and how big basketball really is. We need some SE TX gyms in the competition field!
