Toby is the choice, has been the choice
-
really...what games did you watch. he did all his against supposedly d1 talent ...collings...brown...and so on ...no doubt a little under sized but so is a lot of athletes that CAN PLAY
-
Toby Forman will be the coach....named tommorrow
-
But they sold the program coming back on giving local guys a shot....
-
Done with woodard and his denver broncos buddies that got him hired
-
While I am on this, we decided to sign athletes that get KICKED out of other schools instead. Local guys is what the selling point was to bring this program back. This is what they tried to sell to me.
-
I will admit I am biased...I like Montana as well as several other local talented athletes that I see in the area. I understand not all can get signed, but the BEST one in the area has me baffled.

Bottom line is Lamar made a mistake... The question is will he and his staff ignore the mistake or try to fix it.
-
Aggies are we, Montana would postpone his mission if Lamar would have offered him. Please do not commit on what you don't know. Ask the him your self.
-
How bad does Lamar look...I think we need to call Mr. Humphrey who got Woodard hired and ask him why the BEST player in South East Texas, Lamar refused to sign
-
Before you get pissed at the kid...REMEMBER he had nothing to do with the voting...The area media believed he was deserving. The bigger question is how bad does Lamar look for not signing him yet.
-
Should win one of the wrs awards.. I would like to know why Lamar has not offered him. I know for a fact you can put mission off until you graduate. Im tired of kids with character issues being signed by Lamar only for them to quit on the team. Let's go get home grown talent with high character. There are several around the area. I know they picked up a good one from Central. Go ask him if Montana can play

Coach Dubois and his offensive staff deserve some credit. It is nice to see in the day of the spread (sissy offense) that a hard nose, get in your stuff, undersized team is leading the state of Texas in rushing. Love it or hate it,...it gets results. Great job men and players.
-
Montana from vidor also had 17 tackles... 2 sacks and a forced fumble...all while out playing a ut commit
-
Mr. Tricket .....all do respect ... I personally heard and shot pictures of him.. probably a great kid but a poor choice tonight.
-
Casual fan, but looking at character and athletic ability why in the world would you sign an arrogant guy from Livingston and not a humble guy who is obviously better from Vidor. Again, just a nobody, but as a Texas A@M fan i hope we get Mr. Quriante.
-
Hats off to a great pirate football team. I watched the whole game and couldn't believe the what was going on. Mr. Collins you are a great athlete, but lost to a more disciplined and more team oriented opponent tonight. I have never in all my life reporting high school sports seen a player spit in another players face. Very disrespectful. Team is a reflection of the head coach and I was very disappointed in Livingston. Vidor's assistant coach at the end was wrong and should be a better example for his team. Great game to watch, but very impressed by Vidor's team first style.

I think livingston rests their starters in this game. No reason to play them and risk injury.
-
Like both Burnett and Faircloth. Only problem I have ever had is that the new BF staff has been very cocky since they got here. Old school guy and would like respect shown to former coaches and current opposing coaches. Heard their staff say they were ten years ahead of any coach in this area when they got here. I guess time has caught up with them. Good luck both teams. Every school goes through their ups and downs. RESPECT the game and everything will be fine.

Wrong it was the slot t...I know coach C. Not to mention that one of my nephew's played for them.
-
First it is the slot T. The offense is similar to wing t, but has several other wrinkles. 2nd if you do not believe in an offense then it won't work. Seems to me they did not buy in to it or like it. You are right it gives Vidor the BEST chance to win.

PA only beat Central by 3.. Vidor wins on point differential
Willie Ray Smith Awards Banquet Tonight/Quirante wins it all!!! WOW!!!
Despite what Vidor fans think Montana isn't and wasn't the best player in the area. Recruiters have told y'all what I've been saying all along. Should he have won the offensive award? I think 1881 yards on 192 carries and 33 tds says yes, and he was well deserving. He had good defensive numbers for his position but there was a player from Nederland, Ozen (not Tony Brown), and WOS who had better numbers for their positions even though they didn't stand out like Montana's tackle numbers or his 3 picks. I'm not going to name them because I'm sure that will take us on another tangent. Just take the emotion out of it and ask what position does he actually play? He wasn't a better pure qb than Mitchell and Lamar signed him as an athlete. He wasn't a better pure rb than Glenn Roberts and he went D2. He not a better pure lb than Garrett Dolan (BH) and all he could get was an upstart HBU offer. With his measurables he needs to stand out in something besides heart which the recruiters have clearly told you he doesn't. Great high school football player but don't let the numbers he ran up in a gimmick offense sway y'all into thinking he's the best player in the Triangle because the guys that base their mortgage payments on evaluating high school players have definitively told you otherwise.
* I agree with whoever said he's going on a mission because he didn't get any worthwhile offers. BYU has the oldest team in the NCAA because of this but Quirante didn't even have a rivals page whereas the twins had one since they were sophomores and Raelon Singleton has one after one year of varsity football. Forget 20-4a, that's what the rest of the state thinks.
I respect and believe you are entitled to your opinion....but don't forget that he beat your twins head up with a lot of help from a team that was not supposed to win. You can give all the rival recruiting crap you want...but they get it wrong most of the time...Go back and look at the transfer rate of all the big name 3,4,5 star athletes...The measurments on montana are not over whelming, but the bottom line is the guy is a football player along with kids from ned, central, ozen, lcm, png, and other 20-4a schools. I think the twins are great and hope they do well, but I also think Montana as well as other 20-4a kids deserve a shot.
