there are a "few" better teams than Newton like it or not. My dogs being one of them then Arp and Harmony, as a friend said "Newton is standing tall behind a weak predistrict full of not so good big schools" and thats how it is going to play out! So your Championship game of 3A DII is awfully wrong in my eyes. You and arp can think what you want about our schedule but Silsbee is 1-3 losing to Port Neches-Groves a 5a school ranked 22 in DCTF, Newton ranked #1 3a Div2 and West-Orange Starks Ranked #1 in 4a Div 2. Now Bridge City record is 2-2 losing to # 1 ranked 3a Div 2 Newton and #1 Ranked West-Orange Starks so these two teams could very well be undefeated if they hadn't played such a touch schedule. Also East Chambers record is 3-2 so they aren't bad as you and arp try to suggest.the first two teams I mentioned would donkey stomp you and Arp. Check out who our opponents have played before you say they are bad. JMO

I do think it will be a great game, a week off for the bruises to heel and get healthy is what we needed. I expect to see Crockett again in play-offs so do the coaches hold back some or show all there cards?

They didn't want neutral site last and they want next year. I am sure they would like for their coaches to umpire the game also. Anything for an advantage, If we meet in the play-offs we will play them on neutral field . I hope we are healthy when we play , maybe this week off will give all time to mend.JMO

I believe Newton will win by 21+ . East Chambers is 3-1 because they are getting better each week and in a rebuilding year . Great job East Chambers. You have my respect and wish you the best after this week.JMO

I hope B C has a bye soon because if they only have one hoss the continually pounding will take him down to 50%.Now almost any of us would get roughed up by W O S. Don't know how Newton will handle him but he will get peppered I believe.

If I remember correctly we had about a three touchdown lead going into the 4th quarter, then the zebras went ZOO (the t.v. series on us) and yes you cannot beat 15.That is in the past but you bet I still remember.

I was at the game and officiating was like they had a lot of money on Diboll .Look at the film. you got beat in bi-dist to eventual state champ I believe and we got beat in quarterfinals to eventual state champ. Daingerfield 21-18. The officiating should have been turned into UIL and those refs should have been banned for life.JMO

Diboll is where officials went stupid about 10 years ago. We had only one series of plays without a 10 to 15 yard penalty( the series we didn't have a penalty was one play for touchdown) and Curtis Barbay was very ticked. We lost that game with a team way better than Diboll had.. I think we quit playing after that game officiating was so bad.

I was really impressed at Silsbee faithful and Newton faithful for all the prayers going up when Newton spectator probably had heart attack or something like that. I know they were doing CPR on him. Really applaud everyone at game for prayers. Sometimes the game goes out the window.JMO

it is a scrimmage, I have close family from both schools. I hope that both teams come out being for the better and no one gets injured. I hope the best for each team during the regular season and I will be watching both schools during the season. Grandkids makes us go in all directions.
