1. sounds good taste great, nah taste  like warmed over Buzzard. You won and we lost . I know we were over rated now but that takes nothing away from East Chambers win.
I here that crow in EC taste good if it is cooked properly.
2. i never refereed to Winnie people as simple minded. I did say " I will put it this way and make it easy for a simple minded human." I never said Winnie people . I just thought using the tragedy of Hurricane Ike and the months of agony you all went through would let you understand that the kids at East Chambers wasn,t as football focused as the other years. When Hurricane Ike hit you guys my heart went out for you all. My wife and I went to High Island and did what we could. We didn't do enough but did what we could. anyway, think whatever of me ,it really doesn't matter.
3.

I think every one said that last year as well.
We had to try to play through a big loss last year when Curtis Barbay passed away. You don't lose someone like Curtis  without a big effect on everything.
Wouldnt that just want them to win it more?
You guys won last year but DON'T try to understand the facts of last year. When my friend passed away suddenly last year I was in shock, a sense of loss, to many emotions to put in any post and I am 64 years young. The kids lost their head coach ,probably most of the kids lost a father figure and I a sure they wanted to win for their coach and loved one. however, they had no leader, only practiced one time that week with there mind on everything . I will put it this way and make it easy for a simple minded human. How long did it take the Winnie people to get over Hurricane Ike and could you really expect the kids to concentrate on football as in a normal year. You won last year and I don't want sympathy ,just some understanding because we lost a great friend, leader, coach and so much more for different people.
4. hope our Wildcat neighbors play up to there capabilities and get ready for district without any injuries on either team. My brain says West Orange will win but my heart is pulling for Kirbyville to win at home.
5. Newton by 28  this team reminds me of the 2004, 2005,2007 and 2008 teams. They can run and pass and they have a solid defense.
6. Truthfully, the first half Buna matched up much better than i expected. First half was a lot of hard hitting and Buna was  pretty physical. I think they will get in the play-offs if something terrible doesn't happen. I don't think we are better than everyone else in 10 2a div 1. We have talent but way to cocky for a better than average 2a team. Good job Buna, you fought till the end. Good job Newton, the second half you  played as a team.
7. Curtis was a great coach and good man and a good friend, thoughts and prayers for the Barbay family. Curtis will be missed.I kinda think he will be watching this game , Anahuac, And Coldsprings games tonight, trying to send in good plays for all of us.
8. Beware of a quiet dog, sometimes they bite and any Bulldog bite can be hazardous to your well being.
9. I have some brand new three, six and nine dollar bills . I hope we don't have a problem with the ticket office making change. Also, can i park my camel at wal-mart, he is a little skiddish.gets great water mileage.
10. I will take my eagles 28-17 unless it rains. Silsbee has a very good team and a great stadium (but a mud pit for a field when it is raining). last time we played there ,it looked like a large herd of piney wood rooter hogs had a field day for a week after the game was over.
11. I'm going with Kirbyville 20-18 in a upset. I think the redbirds forget that they are Wildcat food. Go get them Kirbyville.
12. I think Newton wins 28-21 in a good hard fought clean game. We have nothing but respect for Corrigan-Camden. I hope for  a hard fought injury free game . no matter who wins both teams should get better for the district races.
13. Kville 68  I agree with you on most of what you said. I think your O-line will get better and the wildcats will be ready for district play and will get in the play-offs. Lets face it, it is hard to play another team after playing Coldsprings.(they are physical) I am not taking anything away from my eagles since they are good, but Coldsprings roughed us up also. What i am trying to say that its for bragging rights only, not the play-offs. I wish you Wildcats the best for this year. play hard, play fair, play as if your reputation is on the line because for your seniors it is.
14. Jasper freshmen 24-Livingston freshmen 8 didn't need officals i guess, I don't think they saw anything.Good game for both teams.
15. Good Aoudad, I killed one in november of 09 that weighed 450 lbs + and carried it to Leesville, La to get it mounted since I knew that it was one of a lifetime kill. ( I killed it at Palo Alto not for from Rocksprings) I am saying this to kind of warn you of Pat's Taxidermy in Leesville,La. After 20 months I had the law get my Aoudad because the man wouldn't return my calls and when I went over there ,I could here him inside but he wouldn't answer the door. Anyway, all he had done was cape it out and cut the horns off. I paid him $200.00 up front  and that was what i got. Anyway it is at another taxidermy and I am glad he didn't sell it. i just thought people needed to know about this business. I wouldn't carry a tumblebug there to get fixed.
16. Rosenberg wins southwest region tournament. They are off to Michigan and I wish them lots of luck from a Jasper fan.
17. I don't know about best ever but the 2005 Newton team was bad to the bone. They went without practice from Sept 22 to at earliest Oct. 1 due to Hurricane Rita. No-one had electricity for at least 3 weeks and here in Southeast  Texas, we had football player scattered across Texas and Louisiana. We were Being fed by the National Guard and I know there were a lot of schools in the same boat. anyway, when we started back in mid Oct. it was just like first day of football all over and after we got to the area game was like playing teams with a 5 week head start. Anyway they went 13-0 and won state. I believe their defense only allowed but 54 yards a game on the ground.
18. Jasper lost 6-3 to a good Rosenberg team. Game went 5 innings scoreless and both pitchers did there jobs. sixth inning got caught up in a questionable  call with the score 1-0 Rosenberg. they scored 5 more runs after that Call. I am not saying we would have won but we didn't get a close call all tournament. It may be sour grapes but Rosenberg played good. I hope they  win it all.
19. Jasper beat a good Barbers Hill  team 7-3 to win Section 2 tournament. Tyler next.
20. I know Jasper beat Barbers Hill, not positive on score but i think it was 7-1 Jasper. Barbers Hill is playing Bridge City in elimination game tonight.
