Crosby will never play WOS , they know it's a "no win" both ways ego buster and they can't hang with WOS  anyway . And I give em  the fact that even if they win they should have so !!!! Anyway we not only don't mind playing /  scrimmaging WOS , we enjoy it because both schools have knowledgable respectful fans and quality programs who enjoy the competition , knowing  it makes us both better , shows us where we stand & in the long run , especially  in years like this one where both of us had a lot of holes to fill,  because  by the end of the season Crosby won't want to play either one of us .

i wasn't talking bad about PNG stadium. Have you been to Alvins stadium?? the home side is HUGE, not as big as PN-G. pn-g vistors side is tiny unless they fixed it. PAM stadium is old, but despite what texas bob state, you can squeeze nearly 10k in that stadium! it was done my freshman year when lincoln and TJ played. also i laugh at PAM's toilet situation. same darn restrooms since i was a young bumblebee in the late 70's early 80's...still has not changed lol oh and PAM has the best parking(besides the butch) any stadium in the area.

Coach Mathews gonna need more than one pair of shorts if that's where he keeps his luck ! Maybe a pair for every quarter . 

It has become painfully apparent now for most of the district that due to this great team concept the Bulldogs are going to have a lot to say regarding anyone's idea of a District champion ------Hmmmm.!! Indeed they are going to have to deal with the problem as much as it scares them . They all thought it was over "The Nightmare " !

At Bulldog practice - Nederland has Lebaron at Qb practicing-Jones our starting LB practicing Qb- I guess the JV Qb practicing at Qb- Oh and TAVIAN acting like Vidor Qb-WTF time to throw my flag after today's practice.

Here's what I say - two teams whose main colors are black and gold, will battle it out in the trenches, with one black and gold team coming out 1-0 to start the race for the district crown.
Ned/Vidor games are always close.  Rivalry? NO. I get tired of hearing that.

I dont know that they are or thug, or a A student. In all their actions was wrong, even if a coach told them to do so. So are you saying if your kid was in my care, and I told him to steal it's OK by you. Destroy the kids lives no, but they were wrong. As far as the coach if proven true, should no longer be a coach in my opinion.

I do not need to know ANY of the facts. There is no reason, excuse, dilemma, or dual morality in which a student-athlete should EVER attack an official. EVER!
Actually in legal terms it was assault and battery since assault does not require physical contact. If they did not want to have the stigma that is associated with that crime, then they should have not attacked an individual with the INTENT of causing harm.

Key words are no mistake . I still would have committed a case of severe  Unsportsmanlike  conduct on him and let the chips fall where they may . The video proves my self defense against unsportsmanlike conduct delivered to me (aka assault) and I do indeed have every right to respond with deadly force if you are trying to harm me . This is far beyond the game , yes he was frustrated he had already been manhandled but his response requires that he learns actions do have consequences . Now I will say that we have no way of knowing of what preceded , trash talk , gouging stomping and we may have already  witnessed retaliation . There is a lot that goes on in football that fans do not see in the stands , talk about mothers, sisters  etc. that require some measure of justice to be delivered . Which would have been deserved in that case .  We have no way to know that and since I believe you reap what you sow I would not respond either if that were the case  and you retaliated leaving you caught and me the "good" guy!  And yes he would have every right to defend himself . So we cannot really determine  from a short out of context video the true facts  in this case but it looks bad , which is why it was posted !!

Glad Lumberton is getting their running back back . Hate to see him miss out after all the hard work is done ? He adds a lot to the O . 

If any other back would have had his numbers the past 2 weeks, most would be giving praise. Fact is, this kid wasn't on anyone's Radar(I know him well, not surprised) so he deserves some credit. He can't make the calls on offense, nor can he be responsible for the defense. The kid has run very well for 2 straight weeks, not his fault he has to play these opponents. At least he performed against his opponents, not many others in the area can say the same 2 weeks in a row.  Give the kid a break
BTW: Hasn't WB had the Best RB(or at least top 2) in the area the last 5 yrs? I think so

Lamar Freshman DB Rodney Randle Jr named Honorable Mention Player of the Week SLC for his Baylor performance. 7 tackles, 52 yd INT, 27yd KO Ret Avg(I guess that's Honorable Mention) VS #4 Team in FBS. Lol Great Job Son!!!

My reasoning for hoping Vidor pulls in at the 4th spot is basically I like the grit they play with.. They are always out talented, out athleted, and every time I see them play they have a large crowd and give it 100%... People like to knock the offense, however that's the best offense for lack of talent.. IMo Mathews does a hell of a job keeping those kids playing hard after losing year in year out...  And to his credit, he has stuck around, it can't be easy to do so... So my picks are in alphabetical on page 1, but I think Vidor pulls in at #4..... I'm throwin my V's up..........

Not sure about now, but back in the mid 80s when my son played, biggest problem at Vidor was Tradition, or lack of.  Two 8th Gd teams, both real good.  My son smallest starter on the line of either.  By his Senior year, he was the biggest.  Why?  All the big guys quit to do, well, whatever.  Doubt Ned or PNG has a big problem with that, because of their Tradition.  That "T" means a lot.  I envy programs that have it. 
I do appreciate the fact that most of you know that the ones who do play, give it everything they have.  Hell, win or lose on the football field, I'm happy with kids like that. 

Go Ozen , go Hebert , go Greenies ! I'm an old , okay old,old Greenie . Played on some really good teams ! Watched many a Hebert game ( we shared the stadium ) Both were Southpark back then .  BISD never could handle the "south end " so no reason for anything to change now ? Same old talk Charlton / Hebert ----Beaumont /French vs Greenies  . Nothing ever really changes in history .  They always made fun of the "Refinery Rats " So eventually BISD after mishandling their finances (sound familiar ) and realizing we had the money decided they would dissolve themselves and force SPISD to take them (bail  them out ) !!!! Then bide their time , elect their people when they could ! BISD had many more people than SP  , but much less money , and then rename SPISD  to BISD in the "best " interest of the community . Interesting isn't it . The more things change the more they stay the same .  Go Ozen !

You know, as we set here and go back and forth with one another we all hAve a love for football. I would hope that most of us are poking and jabbing at each other in fun. We are just men and women with no control or influence on the outcomes of these games we speak of. Unfortunately there will be some men that will act like kids on here, and some kids on here that want to act like grown men. At the end of the day this is about groups of young men out there on the field playing a game that they enjoy and love. Hopefully they cherish every minute of it because for most it over after high school. Then all they can do is get on these forums and join us. Lol. There's nothing like Texas in the fall during football season. Some of my fondest memories with my dad as a young kid, high school age and after I graduated was going and watching playoff games. Going to the Astrodome in the late 80s and watching Sugar Land Willowridge with Thurman Thomas running all over everyone. Man I miss those days and feel sorry for the ones that never had the opportunity to experience these things. I do a lot of business with folks from the Mid West, North East and they just can't understand our infatuation with high school football. I just hope there are other young kids out there that are getting to enjoy the same experiences that I had as a kid because I wouldn't become the man, husband and father that I am to today without my father sharing with me the love of high school football.
