  1. One of em chewed thru his muzzle while ago and headed toward  Port Neches but they ran him down with the truck &  lured him back with a 96 oz. T-bone but I don't know how much longer we can hold him ! Didn't need the Vette cuz them old Bulldogs  is slow you know but once they git  a holt a sumpin n sink their teeth in it's real hard to git em to let go and when they do it shore ain't no pretty sight --- mmm!

  2. Rarely ever said this but these teams kinda mirror each other ! A little offensive edge to Ozen , a little defensive edge to Jags .! That being said this looks like a coaching test , who motivates , who wrinkles , gameplan , adjustments on the fly . Looks to be a great game ! Like Midcounty Madness  , Soul Bowl  previous records  , games just don't matter . Pick  ???

  3. The only quit I saw in Jags was the coaching ! They abandoned the gameplan and hit the panic pass button  , when there was plenty of time to have run  the offense and see what happened ? Result 3 & outs and a battered D got no rest . #2  Dogs had long ago sold out to smash mouth , so why not load up and dare us to beat you in the air even though you know we have a deadly air  game  we really hadn't shown that and pass D may be the best part of Jag D . Just saying if it is not workin there is nothing to lose ?  Personally the panic button is something I hate and yes I have even seen that in my Dogs before ! I guess all coaches like fans get "scared" and punch the button !

As far as talent your "edge" is not near as great as you think it is . Dogs have had some real special players over the last 5 years or so . Just for starters Kimler , Seay , the meats , Grogan and on and on and on etc  . So coaching plus talent plus attitude always = success .

  4. Some of the worst officiating I've seen in 40 yrs of Bulldog football . And in the end they cost Central too , when I thought they were keeping the underdog in the game , they proved me wrong ! Just not competent . I am usually pro ref , I have good friends who are longtime Big 12/SEC/NFL officials -----but , I know they probably did the best they knew how and it is indeed a thankless job , usually done for love of the game !

Central fans was calling for the coaches head.  Central have 3 running plays and 2 pass plays.  The momentum changed on that interception. #22 from Nederland was in beast mode tonight.

Hmm maybe the team just did not execute , although play calling was suspect ?  Great game 22 .

  5. Young defense grew up tonight. They are just starting to see what they can become . No chain gang -just  "lights out" the party is "OVER" Great execution on O , the line took over good routes , good throws, great coaching , super fans , best band in the land , great cheerleaders , mascot , Westernaires  and Lots of Krautz . Great game Dogs !   Geaux Dogs !!

  6. I see a great game here . Both teams backs against the wall , lot of speed , lotta power , fast enough to run the other one down on D . + Homecoming --just a great high school football game between two worthy opponents  . Both teams have turnover problems so execution probably picks a winner ? And it could very well look like a basketball score ! This might be the best fans game of the week !  But again could be 10/7 or 7-0 . Pick Vidor home coming advantage !

  7. So png defense is better than Central?

    I thought y'all all kn

So if big if ! The team is actually thinking like the PNG fans on here  -- then this is a big trap game ! Reality is  ; as it should be ; actual players are probably approaching the game as an underdog !!!!!! PNG defense still unknown -only real test was a bust . Central D seen some real horses . Although Indians did do a good job on Goose ! We will see won't we . I rate this a toss up but PNG has executed really well last few games . Few mistakes /giveaways / penalties !

  8. Speaking of speed one of those long Lebaron spirals to Perkins is an instant game changer .

In any given year you are fortunate if your team has a back like any of these  at Ned. /Central/ Ozen / Lumberton  . I would take any one of them . I enjoy watching all of them , just enjoy more when they are not playing us . Doesn't really matter who's fastest , they all have a blend of speed , moves and power that can take it to the house on any play . That said , there  actually are a bunch more at PNG/ Vidor/ GC/Lee in fact everyone has at least one really good running back this year .

  9. Very good question that I'm DYING to hear the rebuttal to....

The stats are fun for everyone to look at and speculate about . Some matter , some don't A  coaching tool  , an indicator of trends and a part of your recorded history . If you good enough or bad enough a part some record book somewhere. The final score however is your record and it cares not how your points or lack of points got "on the board" . So the answer for "The Dogs" is in the first two games the "stat" that did matter was a lack of enough of those points to top our opponent ; resulting in a pair of L s on our record . So the answer : you need some stats if you plan to matter !

  10. Never to early to jump this game ! Ned is overall quicker / faster  & outcoached  ( probably bigger and stronger on O . But Central is "more athletic" Dogs win  Central got a nice D but they have not faced Ned O line . Krautz  probably fastest in district in pads Perkins  . Fisher . Mayfield . I 'm starting to feel sorry for us with all that speed at Central ? Yeah So we give up a few points only thing matters is who has most at end and that's Dogs ! Yards don't count D stats don't count . Speed in track --zero ?
