Saying "passing doesn't work in lumberton" could be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard on this board. Lmao

Gotta have a coach that wants to throw it. Develop the players. Babin just wants to run it. Koch and Carr are capable receivers. Got a 6-7 TE that may get 1 look a game. Get the running backs involved. Screen game. Not that complicated. Its not the kids, its the system.

Would Lumberton over Wheatley be considered an upset 1v4?

Wheatley will beat Lumberton by 10.

Any 4 seed beating a 1 seed is an upset.  Even if the 2 worst 4A D1 districts in the state are playing each other first round.  So I guess if Lumberton beats Wheatley, that would be an upset.. 

Play-offs are too watered down now.  I like it better back when only 2 teams made playoffs.  Playoffs are supposed to reward teams.  An accomplishment of having a good season. Now teams with losing records are getting in the playoffs. So it's the " everybody gets a trophy" theory. Just looking at the final standings post.  There are 4 local teams with losing records that made playoffs. So your telling those kids that's 3-4 or 2-3 record in district is good enough.  Life lesson: Just because you tried your best....doesn't entitle you to anything..
My 2 cents on an easy fix: Districts with less than 8 teams, 1st and 2nd makes playoffs.  Districts with 8 or more teams, get 4 teams in.

Everybody wanna hate on my comments, but spot on. Can't say anything neg or criticize, people get butt hurt. Eventhough I'm close. Generic offense, bad play calling, too many mistakes. All season long

If we are in fact 4th. Good thing is you don't see Carthsge or Midlothian early in playoffs. And could get another shot at Splendora. Since 1 and 4 on same side

5-5. Hope no one in Lumberton thinks that's a good season. 4 of the 5 wins against terrible teams Kville, Furr, Liv, BC. I guess you could call the other win against Huff a quality win. Gotta get better. Gotta build program from little kids to high school. Wouldn't surprise me if Babin leaves...Just my take on things.... Bring on the excuses.

I think Silsbee has a sophomore kid who didn't play last year for some reason.  Supposed to be pretty good and have some size.  Think his name was Lowe or Elam.  Could be wrong on the name.

I understand what your saying LTrain11. Kids make mistakes.  Part of football or any other sports. Bottom line mistakes need to be eliminated.  And that falls on the coaches as much as it does the players to correct things.

Thanks Bigdog. And appreciate all you other's support. Typical homers. Always have excuses. Cant stand anyone that has different opinion or has a little criticism.  And for the record...I'd hire someone NOT from Lumberton.

Hence why I said what I did.  If it comes down to Splendora running the ball and Lumberton passing the ball,  Splendora has the advantage.
