Well since BC is going to be without a key factor, I'm going to have to go with WOS on this one!

OK, so it's annoying, if the parents and coaches are annoyed, it probably safe to say the players were also! Once you allow someone or something to annoy you, your focus changes, you concentration level and direction changes! Who's fault is that?????? And oh by the way.......they've won the head game battle!

I teach from a very young age about controlables and uncontrollables! Control what you have control over, YOUR GAME, and ignore what you can't....weather, officiating, how other teammates play, the other team, etc! If you live by this, NO ONE will ever ANNOY you!

i never said that we would still be good without Scott. i agree with u, of course she was the main reason we went that far in the playoffs.  also silsbee and orangefield did have deeper benches than wos.  i was just replying to the post that said wos did not deserve to be in the regional playoffs.   

Then I appoligize, because WOS DID deserve to be at regionals.......they won THE game that mattered MOST!

what?  am i supposed to just take what you guys say and not say anything in return?   everyone says silsbee was "better" than wos, or wos did not deserve to be in the regional playoffs and thats fine.  but let me ask you this, in years to come will everyone remember that silsbee beat wos 3 out of 4 times? or will everyone remember who was in the 2007 regional playoffs....enough said.  i thought i'd borrow that from you ;D   

It's really quite simple math, if you stop and think about it!

Let WOS choose any player from the Silsbee team (or OF, of Kirbyville) to have to sit the bench, let Silsbee choose one of WOS players......Now, you know we will choose Scott, and fairly certain ya'll would choose Green, (and we ALL understand it doesn't really matter at this point) there is NO way, I repeat NO way WOS could be Silsbee (or many others for that matter) without Scott!

I never said WOS didn't deserve (others did) to go to regionals, they won, fair and square, It just gripes me that ya'll truely think that without Scott are would still be good.......sorry, That's the part that EVERYONE else gets, and you and every other WOS fan is delusional about!

Just so you'll KNOW, all any of us will remember, is Brittany Scott was the BEST player in 21-3A in 2007......PERIOD, and SHE all BUT single handedly got WOS to regionals!

21 3A was awesome this year. There are rude fans from every school, thats just the way it is. But I will say this the coach and the kids from Silsbee are a class act. I am not saying the other schools are not. I did not always like Silsbee. Two years ago a kid from Silsbee punched a kid from Orangefield in a playoff game in which my son was involved. At that time I thought differently about Silsbee. One person does not make a community. After talking and meeting some of the good people from Silsbee I realize my judgement was not in good taste. I am sorry for that. Coach Killam is a great guy and the girls who played for him are outstanding young ladies, not just on the basketball court. Brittney Scott is a great young lady. I know her personally and her family they are awesome. Yes with out her WOS would not have made the playoffs. FACT! But know this the well has run dry at WOS and that happens maybe not in football but girls basketball it has. It was a great run though. Like I said before talent comes in cycles. Stang4life for some reason thinks everyone is againt WOS, which is not true. Are people jealous of WOS? Maybe! Thats a good thing. But most of her post are in a defense mode. Instead of excepting defeat sometimes there is alway excuses. I am not talking about the Silsbee game. We know yall won. People always misread something in a post. That is what has happened here. Me included. We can all say we are the better team but does it matter, we don't decide it, the kids do.

In regards to the fans, yes all communities have rude fans at times, however, WOS or anyone else can say what they want, in the 2 games I saw -vs- WOS, a parent ran on the court at Silsbee, and one got ejected in the playoffs..........that did not happen agianst any other team..........enough said!

i agree with both stang4life and 20fan07, he was complimenting the stangs.  however he also took a shot at the same time, saying our bench was taunting the opposing fans. 

Of course you'll agree with each other, so what does that prove? NOTHING!

Well. I have this to say! WOS, is a very good team, with even a BETTER PLAYER in Scott, she is a one "girl" wrecking crew, she can win games almost by herself, I know ya'll will defend the rest of the team, ok, but 43 points at SHS in double OT, and 49 points in the playoff game........without Scott, you might not even get out of district, whereas Silsbee and OF are more of a complete TEAM! You deserved the next round WOS won.......PERIOD!, BUT......SHS "IS" the better TEAM.........PERIOD!

As far as taunting......I'll say this........I've NEVER seen parents come onto a court during a game........NEVER..........WOS did in Silsbee.........twist it, turn it, make excuses, whatever you want, blame SHS for flagrant fouls, whatever, that's what officials are for, even if you don't agree with them........WOS fans are the rudest!.........this post can even get deleted, I don't care........FACTS are FACTS! With Scott out front, and 6'-2" and 5'-11" underneath........WOS should have been able to win state.......but NO DISCIPLINE...and NO team concept....it was ALL about Scott (right or wrong).

Hey pot don't call the kettle black, when it comes to your opinion of Silsbee aggressive play......they weren't flagrant.........they were just trying to play to win, just like everyone else!

Whatever.  Actually, we probably didn't get enough calls vs. silsbee.  We have bench players?  Most of them are young and brought up from the JV squad.

We lost that game.  No excuses.  I will say that we never gave up even when we were down by alot.  As for B.Scott...she is the best player in the area.  If silsbee deserved to be at the regional meet...then they would have actually been at the regional meet.  That's like saying that WO-S or of deserve to be going to state this week.  Duh!

Do you always whine this much???? Ya'll beat Silsbee "when it counted" congrats to WOS, ya'll DO have a GREAT PLAYER.......BBall4life was complimenting the ENTIRE 21-3A girls basketball district.......learn to except a compliment!

I disagree.  If WO-S plays a good game, we should pull out a win.  We all know that Silsbee has one 3 of 3, but if you look at WO-S...we are peaking at the right time.  We have had some disappointing losses this season...I just don't believe that this will not be another one.

Good for you, now that's showing team spirit! You should show support for your team NO MATTER WHAT! Just like ya'll did after going 0-1, then 0-2, and even NOW after 0-3, against Silsbee, and I wouldn't expect you to agree even after going 0-4.....GO TIGERS!

You did (which even surprised ME, she hasn't played since she was 11) but she is missing the second game (JV) today at Ford Park to go cheer for the girls in Pasadena!

I think he just made a mistake in making it a poll.........I think he just wants general information and opinions of up and coming talent! Who are the prospects at QB - RB - WR......etc......I've also heard we may be going to spread it out a little next year!

Yes we are!!!!!! And I'm not usually a basketball fan, but I've come to know these girls (on the court) and develope a whole new appreciation for basketball, well, GIRLS basketball anyway.......I will be following ya'll into the playoffs, thanks for giving me the opportunity be a part of something special.......congrads on district champs........keep working hard, ya'll are a special group of young ladies!

Well now, that is an amazing kid! Not just for her obvious and unusual talent of strength, but man, she can do everything, even music.....sounds like a great kid. Good luck in college, at whatever you decide!

Why does it matter to you so much? You must not be involved in enough sports of your own to have all this time to belittle someone from a town you're not even from! Go practice whatever it is you do, leave this kid alone AND Lumberton also. Except for being proud of their school and their athletes, what have they really done? Nothing, now we all know what "some" Lumberton people get on here and say over and over......who cares, like you said, it all comes out in the wash. Just because they may not have ENOUGH athletes (or whatever the problem is) to win in this district, doesn't mean they don't have any at all!

You are doing the same thing on this board that you accuse Lumberton of doing (except in a negative way)!

all im saying is it gets old about lumberton if your going to talk about somone talk about clay buccholz thats living the dream...........theres so many schools out there  that you can go play at......at the div 2 div 3 or naia level.........but people realize its time to move on with there life and not play at that level..........I mean hes at southeastern oklahoma im happy for him but whos heard of that school lol........if it was UT,baylor, or a div 1 then heck yeah I give him props but come on.........

What differnence does it make......He's playing, oh and maybe even getting an education, and maybe even getting some of it paid for! If the ONLY the players good enough to play at the schools you mentioned, then a whole lot of kids dreams would be killed! Go look at some of the schools that the MLB players come from, some of them you've never even heard of either.........if you only had a clue!

I'm Just tired of all these lumberton players or ex players thinking there hot stuff......it gets old.....like i said congra to kenny but don't be saying he was a great ball player when he wasn't.......and don't be saying he helped build a lumberton program..........

Any kid good enough to play at the next level, regardless of it classification, DID help their HS program! AND anyone who degrades the accomplishment of any player regardless of level of that accomplishments is a LOSER!

If you don't want to read about Lumberton or anyone else, then don't read it! We all know what you are talking about, but it doesn't give you the right to say those things about a kid who is living his dream!

HF beating WOS in district opener in 21-3A was quite a shock as well!

Who Cares.........its a Div 2 school that won 19 games, theres plenty of players that can play at a div 2 school.

WOW~really I wasn't aware of that, and I'm sure there are alot of other PLAYERS, that aren't aware of it either. If you get the opportunity to play at the college level, it's an honor! Whether it be DI - JuCo! I'm sure this kid is just happy to still be playing, and to have the opportunity to contribute to his team is even better! Good Luck to him!

Looks like WOS has a slight advantage with both games at home, OF with toughest remaining schedule with both games on the road, this district has been everything that has been expected.......this is what HS sports is all about!

Of course this doesn't really mean anything, each team has proved they can win on the road!

Orangefield is very solid, I enjoyed seeing them play in Silsbee last week! Thye should win this one, but don't overlook K'ville they can obviously play, and this is at their gym......good luck to both teams!

I know Silsbee and OF are tied where are the others in the standings? Does K'ville have the inside track on WOS?

Alot of pressure because of the state titles already won this decade. Not to mention the national titles.
