I ve been whipped by belt and by switch.  I ve also whipped, switched, and paddled my own kids.  Pain is a great teacher.  But this seems to be a lil overboard in my opinion.  Im all about corporal punishment....but their is a line you can't cross......especially in todays liberal world

Well either way I know I have let my emotions get the best of me on a few topics and attacked posters personally by means of replies.  And I apologize.  

I vote for myself....I ll admit that I have at times demonstrated a few of those numbers.  Im done posting on the SETX Misc. Discussion forum in general.....unless its something to do with Beaumont ISD.  Yall have fun. I ll still read post about topics I find interesting.

CRAIG S....that is one of the best post I ve read in awhile     like I said life isn't fair.   if you want to see how good children have it here....go to a 3rd world country.  And that's not tosay that the 50 states don't have terrible situations.....but overall and generally speaking we got it good here.

Life isn't fair....        Bigcam....because I ve seen where coaches have had to wait and wait and wait......and wait for parents to pick up their kids.  Parents tend to forget that Coaches have families too.  And yes coaches know what they are getting themselves into when they decide to go into the coaching field......but some parents just don't think of others when it comes to picking their kids up on time. THey take advantage of the coaches TIME.

He may have put up some bad numbers, but he MADE THE TEAM THAT DRAFTED HIM for QB the most looked at position with media scrutiny waiting to bounce....   u may want to check the stats on that playoff game....also u may want to start reading what I actually said instead of what you think I said...."he had a HAND in that win...."     I believe he threw 2 TDs and ran for another.......with over 350 total yards.  and yes he's completion % was below 50%.....but lets not discredit the man so you can raise up another......who apparently hasn't proved himself to the St. Louis Rams coaching staff otherwise he would be on the team....   Oh wait he did get invited to WWE.....

did better than tebow???????   though I will agree tebow wasn't that good of a qb.  but to say sam did better than tebow......ur way wrong.   and whether you like it or not......tebow did have a hand in winning a playoff game against PITT

riding a bike is not impractical....its just a lost pastime due to too many handouts.   and as far as time s have changed.....well whose fault is that?

if junior highs would go back to allowing athletics within the daily schedule with added 1 hour practice before/after school....students would be home before dark.   example       8th grade 1hour practice before school leading into                      1st period 8th grade athletics                      2nd-7 period education classes                      8th period 7th grade athletics leading into                      1 hour practice after school   pretty simple and it works......I ve done it.   the problem lies with parents wanting everything easy for them

Extracurricular.....though good for students....it s not necessary nor a right.   I was at la porte for several years  though not as big as Beaumont but still a good size school....no bus transportation for extracurricular.....parents never had an issue with it.  Because they didn't expect the school district to do the parents' job.   also like others have stated you want it bad enough find a way.  ask for a ride from a teammate's parents that live close by, other family members, travel in a group, ride a bike, etc etc

Scientifc breakthroughs are pretty helpful and sometimes they are not. 

Its about time they make the parents responsible for their own kids.  I ve been in 3 other districts and never did they have bus transportation for after school activities....time to own up parents and BE PARENTS.
