OK CougTalk...PNG over Crosby for these reasons. Sure Crosby beat PNG by 1 point in Crosby, but Crosby also lost to a 2 win Lee team. PNG lost to Nederland by 3 and had a shot to win that one late, and lost to Livingston at Livingston and had a shot to tie that one late. Besides PNG, who else has Crosby beaten? A group of 1-3 district teams! As far as us over Vidor, thats a toss up. Vidor has yet to play Livingston or us and beat Ozen on a last drive. They could be ahead of us and I wouldn't argue the point much. Also I have issues with GCM being above most anyone in 20-4A. Just can't get past the loss to LCM and King. And yes I feel like our 0-7 team would beat many of 19-4A lower tier teams.

If it's the Hill, I can see them with the same fate we had a couple years back...11-0 going in...Basketball Season going out. Their defense will put up a good fight against you guys like we did in '09, but as I have stated before on these sites, you can't beat Brenham, Manvel, Lamarque etc., running the Slot T, or one of the bone offenses! Gotta be diverse. When was the last time one of those offenses won a 4A or 5A State Title or even made to the title game for that matter?? Probably early 90's when BH coach was with Lewisville. Times and athletes have changed!

The kid from BH impressed me his Soph and Jr. years. I can only imagine he has improved.

You need to swap PNG and Ozen in your standings mytwocents. Currently PNG is the 4th spot> Singleton PAM!

Still a good team, but not the same. It was and still is all about matchups in the playoffs. If it ends up DI Ned, Vidor and DII Liv, PNG which is how it looks now, then you guys avoid BH. BH defense would give you guys fits without the Bull.  Round two could be Willis and I don't see you guys beating Willis with or without the Bull. Gotta be able to throw against a team like Willis and lets face it, Livingston has no passing game with or without Mays. And none of us will get past the 24-4A. Manvel is like a college team! and Lamarque is, well Lamarque.

After watching Pearland on TV Thursday night, I would say that as long as PAM doesn't get Katy, they could make a legit run through the region. Beyond that who knows. A lot of good 5A HSFB being played up in the DFW area.

Nice list above, but I would have to include Prior from Nederland on that list on the D Line. And Chevoski Collins would have to be my Utility guy. Also hard to argue Singleton over Trey Green or vice versa. Green may make more plays with his feet, but that is mainly because Singleton has more time in the pocket!

Seen 'em both. Livingstons offense is just as good as last year, the difference is the Lion defense is much better than 2010. For that matter the Nederland D is better than last years, but the Offense is not. I see Nederland slowing Liv down, but I don't see Nederland scoring much. Stop beating this horse. He is dead...The kids made a mistake as most kids do. Thankfully for them and their loved ones they get to learn from their mistake, which I am certain they will and are doing...Too many today don't get a second chance. No glass over here in Groves. Our kids aren't much different than yours are! 

Something else that goes unmentioned about Nelson...He is probably the best downfield blocker we have ever had. If you get to go back and watch film you will see that Jayce is busy on every play! Turnover battle probably decides this one. Lost the battle against Livingston and Crosby and won the battle versus GP and TC.
