1.
I believe with ozen winning tonight it just turned the intensity of this gameupp by 10 nothes...  8)
Sho Nuff Did. A PNG W has them in the catbird seat with a posibility of getting the #1 seed in D2 or the #2 in DI. A Vidor W solidifies them as the #2 in DI no matter what happens against Livingston. Whoever gets the L could be out.
 2.
guys if liv wins the pirates get a spot
If Liv wins what? If Vidor looses there next two and Ozen wins out Vidor is out That would mean Ned 6-1 Liv  5-2 PNG 5-2 Ozen 5-2 Vidor 4-3 In that order. Lot of If's. Similar can be said for PNG, Liv, and Ozen.
 3. If it ended today. Ned 5-0 Vid 4-1 Liv    3-2  +14 (PNG) -1 (Ozen) = +13 PNG  3-2    +18 (Ozen) -14 (Liv) = +4 Ozen 3-2    +1 (Liv) -18 (PNG) = -17 So Livingston in in the three way tie breaker. Then its head to head PNG Ozen = PNG in. Lots could happen next week.
 4.
Not good for PNG if Ozen wins. Come on Lions.
Explain
 5. Seriously, do you deny that Devonte Mays would not have made a difference against Nederland. Not saying that Nederland loses if Mays plays, just saying it would have been a different game. I have friends with kids playing for Nederland that agree. Mays wears you down. I still think Nederland beats Livingston, but I think it is a close game with Mays. To deny that is to show your Football ignorance and I don't think you are football ignorant. Also if we use your reasoning above, PNG will destroy Vidor Friday night because we blew out Ozen and Lumberton. You and I both know that wont be hapening. Nederland was better than PNG that night. Not by much. Just like they were better than Vidor that night they played your guys, but not by much.

As a matter of fact against like opponents PNG has given up fewer points than Vidor.                     Vidor                  PNG Nederland      19-22              21-24                +2 Lumberton*    30-26              57-10                -16 Ozen*          21-14              34-7                  -7 LCM              36-14              35-7                  -7 Vidor has given up 28 more points in those games. So much for that ball control theory. Looks to me like ball control has just made some of their games a lot closer than they should be. Just my opinion using facts.
your little chart don't mean a thing, I would like to be at this game, good luck to both teams
Because it's high school football and anything can happen, I've seen both teams play and I think they are about the same in talent, not knocking your chart but it was a waste of time
True. Ned. beat PNG because the "anything can happen" Happened. I predict another classy win for PNG! 24-10 and a lot of b*tch*ng after the game.
Ned beat PNG because they are the better team. You can see that with comparing the other person who beat PNG. Livingston ran all over PNG and look what happened when they played Ned? Nuff said.
The BULL...Nuff Said!
 7.

Where in my post about the LCM game and Smallwood scoring did it read LATE in the fourth? So Lumberton scored 26 points against Vidors second team? OK
No. They scored 14 points on our second team to be exact.
Funny cause the box score says they scored 12 4th Q points. "Check your facts before you run your mouth."
 8. Where in my post about the LCM game and Smallwood scoring did it read LATE in the fourth? Maybe you should read more carefully before you run your mouth!!! So Lumberton scored 26 points against Vidors second team? OK
 9.
I don't think the game tonight has anything to do with Ozen facing Nederland next week.  Does anyone actually think they have a snowball's chance in heck of beating Nederland?  I think they'd have trouble against Nederland's cheerleaders, to be quite honest.
We are talking about the same Ozen that Vidor beat on the last play of the game right??? Ozen has the talent to beat anyone, they prooved that last year.
 10.
Vidor allows non-starters to play when the game is in hand and does not run up the score.  The score of the game is not an accurate indicator of defensive ability.
So of the games I mentioned, which ones were Vidor second teamers responsible for giving up all the points on defense? Nederland game...Dont think so! Lumberton game of course...Wait did Vidor pull their starters in a 30-26 ball game.NO Ozen...So those were second teamers in there when Ozen scored there 14 points. Wasn't that a 14-14 game until the last play of the game? LCM scored one TD in the 4th and Smallwood scored in the 4th for Vidor. When did he become a second teamer? Come on man. This BS you keep spewing about Vidor playing backups late in Blowouts and the insinuations that PNG doesn't is ridiculus. Actually in all three district wins (Lumberton, Ozen, and LCM) PNG played backups when the game was in hand. Against Lumberton every PNG varsity football player played. Last night our backups drove down the field and took a knee inside the ten with 1:30 left.
 11. The chart was only to proove the point that the PNG deffense has been pretty good against the same like opponents as Vidor. Not that this is the reason one team will win over the other. Point being Vidors deffense we keep reading about, but no one has pointed out that our D has been pretty salty the last few weeks.
 12.
Looks like the player Ozen is taking snaps tonight. Hmmmmmmm...... thats intertesting. Any idea's on why he is playing and not green Jereme and Adam?
Green hurt his ankle or knee at the end of the game last week against PNG. Ozen was at QB on their last drive in the fourth Q
 13. DEAD HORSE folks...DEAD HORSE...Quick take a knee.
 14.

After reading the ridiculous posts on the tail end of this thread, it's clear we now have a new leader in the "WHINER" division.  Congrats Bear fans!!!
And the award for most obnoxious fan's goes to those few in PN-G that make post like the above. I still have video of your 88 team that was 0-10. Every program has it's up's and down's with some more than others but I can't wait for PN-G to be knocked out of the playoffs. Your run will be short lived.
Um that 88 team went 1-9 in 5A thank you! ;D And 12-2 the next year in 4A. At least we'll have a run! That's like saying "I can't wait till the Prom Queen breaks up with you!" ;D All in good fun of course. I've got alot of good friends over there in Bear country and have the utmost respect for them as people. If my kids didn't go to PNG, LCM would be my next choice due to the quality of education they would recieve and the good people of those two communities.

 16.
How Ozen fairs tonight will have significant bearing on next weeks game, so I will withhold my pick until then...should Ozen be able to pull an upset tonight, next weeks game has meaning for them...if they lose, they are pretty much done and could be looking just to get the season over with
Agreed. Green struggled against our secondary this year unlike last year when we had trouble covering deep. If Nederland continues to get after the QB and can cover the deep stuff when he scrambles, then the Dogs when Big. 35-7. If they don't cover the deep stuff, it could be closer.
 17.
Invictus, if i were a moderator, i'd kick you out of here. You're bitterness is very evident and your negative comments stink up these boards. Go find a circle of friends to complain to and agree with. Your opinion is valued to some extent and we respect that you have one, but your comments are ridiculous and you are acting like the very people you think you are calling out.
BINGO This is about a HS football game. You want to talk about PNG not being classy, yet the only one getting personal on this thread is YOU. What does that say about VIDOR. Very little. Because most people I know from over there don't share your attitude. Most Vidorians I know are good people. And a few bad Black and Gold apples don't spoil the lot. Same can be said for PNG fans.
 18. WHAT BC DIDN'T TAKE A KNEE???? So it's not true as one Bear fan stated that PNG is the only HS that doesn't do this??? Once again FACTS!
 19.
15, 16, 17, 18 years old...that is old enough to do what is RIGHT no matter what you are told to do. People from PNG are the type of people who refuse to pull to the side of the road when an ambulance is trying to get through because they are much too important to be inconvenienced in any kind of way.
Do you really want to get into the history of Vidor? Glass Houses buddy, Glass Houses.
 20. I look forward to what should be a great entertaining contest. The atmosphere should be amaizing as I am sure the Pirates will fill the stands and be loud. I think PNG has an advantage having played Livingston and Lumberton already. Three weeks of preparation for that offense can't hurt. Looking forward to seeing the Quarante kid. Heard great things about his play.
 21.
You can't really judge Vidor's defense by the other team's points, especially when they go up by a lot early.  You'll notice Central's scores came at the end of the game.  Mathew's isn't the type of guy to run up the score, he lets everyone play.  Class.  Something PNG wouldn't know anything about.
So because the opponents that we beat big didn't score late in games, you suggest without proof that we don't play our backups? Interesting. How about our backups don't give up points and they keep moving the ball on offense. That ever occur to you? >Against GP our backups held off the GP offense the whole 4th Q and our second Offense scored on a 60 yard run. >Against Lumberton our backups held off a game Lumberton group and on O drove the length of the field and scored midway through the 4th. >Last night our second unit drove down field and took a knee inside the 10 twice with over a minute left. Again I hate to cloud your judgement of others with FACTS, but someone had to do it.
 22.
and wow way to support your team by clearing the stands early....we had a long drive back...whats your excuse?
Great point! If you were so worried about your kids feeling disrespected, how do you think it made them feel when they looked up and half your fans had bailed on them with half a quarter left? Thats disrespectful. Do you leave a movie before the end? Do you walk out on a concert before the end? Do you exit stage left at a play before it's over? NO. Because it would be disrespectful. So why do it to 15, 16, 17 year olds who are playing for your entertainment? This goes for you PNG fans as well! All fans of HS football for that matter.
 23.
Again, y'all are so immature!
Booing is now a sign of Maturity?
 24. Looks like the "Country Folks" over in Orange County have taken a step up. LCM drove the Homecoming Queen around last night in a convertible Lamborghini!!! Never even seen one of those in Mid-County. ;D
 25. We did take a knee...Twice inside the 10 with over a minute left in the game!  ;D What's this crap about calling timeouts to run up the score? When in the last three seasons did this ocur? Facts people...Facts. Fact is with our second unit in we drove down the field easily on the ground and deprived young men who get little playing time the opportunity to score so as not to be DISRESPECTFUL! Did you notice our guys didn't take a knee when Lance got hurt either??? That should be proof enough that it is not out of disrespect! Booing kids is disrespectful. Ask anyone what they think about that! Yeah we have zero classs. Ask your homecoming Queen how classless we were as she passed by our stands. Standing Ovation!
