TC is pretty good, but they are in what will proove to be a monster district again this year. Lamarque Manvel Dawson FWood -
Anyone have any info on how they have looked so far. Very quiet from the team that many pick to be the front-runner in 20-4A this season.

Who are the area's hardest hitters?
badndn replied to Vpirate's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Peveto from PNG. Big Safety who likes to hit, ala Chris Gohlke (only bigger) for those that remember. I hear the Reed kid from LCM can hit with the best of them and he is a big kid. -
Actually has been moved to DE. Your right he may not be a D1 QB but one heck of a Young man & great ball player.
DE or LB is where I expected to see him. With his size speed combo, I really thought he could be an outstanding 3-4 OLB. He will produce quickly on the deffensive side of the ball. Look forward to watching his career.

Didn't take long for him to become a TE. I expected he would end up a LB, DE, or TE at some point, but this was quick. Good move for a kid with a lot of athleticism for his size.

BRIDGE CITY JUNIORS AT WORLD SERIES (KIRKLAND, WA)
"Run differential" per the little league rules on the web site was calculated as runs allowed divided by innings of defense. Basically a runs allowed per inning formula, not a score differential. It looks like they want to reward fewest runs allowed with minimal bias caused by extra inning games.
That's not really Run Differential, but whatever the formula, if it has our locals in the Semi's I'm on board. HS football does a point differential with an 18 point cap per game, it can really become confussing! ??? -

BC 8-7 over East +1 3-5 vs West -2 =-1 East 7-8 vs BC -1 8-4 over West +4 =+3 West 5-3 over BC +2 4-8 vs East -4 =-2 If what you read for LL is true then the East team would go #1 seed and then head to head BC vs West means West would go #2 seed. Playing it out and hopefully it doesn't come to that or they use different rules in LL Softball. -

Great Job ladies! So what is the tie breaker? East team defeated the West team today. Looks like they could be headed for a three way tie at 3-1 with each of them beating the other??? If it is a run differential against then BC would be in! -

Ozen got a transfer from WO-S??

With the changes in the WOS offense this season he would have seen less and less of the pigskin. -

That stinks about Brazier, especially going into his Senior season. He put in some good minutes last year. Can he become elligible after the fall session and rejoin the team for conference play? or even sit out this year (red-shirt) and rejoin next season? Or is he out of school? -
Outside of what we have going on at the reservation, I'd have to say the Vidor Homecoming halftime and the "Chain Gang" Defense at WOS! As much as it pains me to say this, I also love Nederlands run through music at there place. Metalica gets me pumped everytime!!!
if you payed attention that was a busted play lol notice how there was no1 even near him when he caught the ball? lol busted play by the defense
Oh I paid attention and recognized that no one in purple was catching up! The kid is good, not the best in the district, but he is in the top 10 in 20-4A

Peveto is the head knocker. He played LB last year and is moving to Safety this season. Big kid with good speed for his size (6'3" 190) who laid some shots late last year afetr being inserted into the lineup during district. And he was only a Sophomore last year. Also Hollier looked pretty good in coverage for the two or so games he played late last year, but he was hurt to start the season got back late in district then got hurt again I think against Central. Hopefully he stays healthy. If so I think our secondary will be pretty good. The big question marks will be up front and MLB. Sperl and Louviere on the outside played well late last year. Replacing DJ in the middle will be tuff.

**SETXsports.com MOCK RE-ALIGNMENT**
badndn replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I just don't see how any of this makes Texas HS sports any better. In this day and age of budget cuts deluxe, how is making districts travel futher and futher for all sports justifiable. Ask the folks in 2A and 1A how they like it (and get ready for a tongue lashing)! -
The three returning players on the line that got playing time last year are biggins. OT K. Nicotre - 6'2" 270 (three year starter at LT. Missed a couple games last year with injury) OT N. Stasinos - 6'5" 260 (took over for Nicotre when he was injured and played very well) OG Reasons - 6'2" 250 (got some PT last year as a Soph and did well. I hear he has a bit of a mean streak?) Also you guys left out one of those big nasties last year that is often overlooked, but had a great season in Patrick Braud (RG 6'2" 265). Can't expect the same results as last year, but that is not saying this group won't be good. Last years group was probably the best line of all time at PNG. So if this group is half as good then they will be stout.
