The new head coach gonna change his offensive philosophy?
Smalley inherited the Slot T from Orangefield. Before OF, he was a spread guy.

If it's true, Smalley is making a huge mistake going to BC. Most of their better athletes now days play strictly baseball. It will be almost impossible to convince them to play football. His reputation for turning programs around will be thrown out the window. If BC ever even starts SOMEWHAT competing on a consistent bases I'll be shocked. I know I wouldn't put my reputation on the line just to go home.
Stop using the baseball team as a scapegoat for BCs lack of success. They made good strides rebounding from that dumpster fire that McGuire ran. Smalley will continue building up this program. God forbid anyone try to get better around the 409.

Congrats Deweyville on making school history!

Well here I" am if you are talking about me. Yes they are there to compete. They are in are district right. I'm not sorry they couldn't hang". Still 🙏🏻 for the young man but after wacthin the game again he was ran out of bounds but he jumped over the bench him self.! But anyway this game is over and in the books..!🐅🏈
He was forced to go over the bench by the Silsbee players coming in hard late. Luckily the Silsbee players all went down in a heap right at the bench or there were going to be more injuries. Don’t sit there and say the Silsbee didn’t force him over the bench. There was zero reason to make contact with him at that speed with him going out of bounds he was clearly out of bounds.

That's even more surprising with all the new homes built up that way
A lot of the new homes and whole neighborhoods are still being built as we speak with future neighborhoods slated to be built. I bet we see a substantial increase for LCM within the next few snapshots
-
LCM just doesn't have enough to keep up with the Raiders recent show of success. 42 - 21 Lumberton
-
I wouldn’t say coaching alone is to blame for the woes of WOS’s season. I’d say people are overestimating the “talent” of this team. It’s a combination of the two. Honestly, I think leaning towards the “having too much talent” aspect of placing blame on the relative unsuccessfulness of WOS is tearing the team and fan base apart more than the hire you don’t like.
-
I’m going with Jasper. 28-20
-
Silsbee puts up 70+.
Silsbee 71 - Brazosport 7

Woodville easily wins here. I don’t see the Bobcats stopping Woodville’s passing game. I hope I’m wrong. Good luck to all.
Woodville 42 - Orangefield 14

I would love to see Vidor have some success this week. but idk... the Slot T teams are struggling early.
-
Both teams seem to be uptrending. Should be a good game! If the Cards can clean up some of the mistakes made in the Orangefield game, I think they could pull away from Buna in this one. Buna didn't have much of a challenge against Corrigan so we will see how good that run game really is against one the best D-Lines in the area. Give me BC by two + scores.

I think Cuero edges HF. Should be a great game either way!
Since 1975, PNG Has Made 5 Trips to the State Championship, Won 2 -- Nederland Has 0 Trips and Consequently 0 State Titles!

This game is more than just coaching. It is a culture. Yes good coaching is important, but it isn't everything. It takes a football culture to be good at high school football. It starts with a foundation and identity, typically built in a weight room. That translates to kids improving physically and buying in to that identity. It also takes a community to support the team and coaches to guide the team and facilitate that growth. PN-G has built an identity that is forged in their weightroom. There is an ENORMOUS level of support for the team from the community. They have an awesome coaching staff that guides them in the right direction. Nederland lacks that identity. If you ask me what makes a true difference in HS football. It is a combination of a lot of things. It takes sacrifice by all. Again, i'm not saying coaching is not important, but I would argue the other obvious things that are very different about PN-G and Nederland. Recently, the culture and identity is just not the same.
