1. Keeping an eye out as models keep drifting Isaac toward the west.  Isaac doesn't seem to have any main guidance influences controlling his movement.  Here's hoping that it doesn't intensify too much and leaves us alone.  Curse these " I " storms!!! >:(
2. No.  Maybe we can just mail a DVD of the game to season ticket holders??? ;)
3. Why doesn't the NBA follow it's own rules?  Read the rulebook on "traveling" and explain why a player bounces the ball once and takes multiple steps on his way to the goal.  I am sorry that you feel the need to attack baseball for being a "corrupt" sport while yours is so pristine. ::)  [Hidden Content] .  I will stay off the basketball forum and I suggest you do the same here. ;)
4. Not too bad for a good old boy from Carthage High School and finishing off at Rice University!! ;D
5. Yes.  Varsity @ 5 pm.  Keep the rain away! ???
6. Great job, Dillon!!!  Keep up the great work! ;D
7. Way to go, Zach!!!  We are looking forward to you turning another great year for the Cardinals before you head north to the woods!!!  Good Luck!
8. And to think that on this very board, more than a few folks were calling for a new coach in Vidor a couple of years ago....... :o. Jeff Matthews is a quality AD, coach, and most importantly a quality man.  He loves his players and is very complimentary to players on opposing teams.  Congrats Jeff and all the super coaches he has hired for his staff!! 8) Keep it going Pirates!!  Orange County and 20-AAAA is supporting you all the way!!
9. Mustangs big here. By 30 points.  WOS is improving and Columbus struggling to beat Stafford tells me all I need to know. ;)
10. My guess would be #11.  That guy played dirty all night and collected 2 for sure and maybe 3 personal fouls. The rest of the Cougars seemed to play pretty clean football.
11. Congratulations, guys!!!  Proud of all three of you!  Now, let's take care of a little business in the Spring...... ;D
12.

Yep.  I was there. Standing on the sidelines!!!!
Excellent.  Perhaps you are one of the coaches.  Do us a favor and find a new profession.
It is fair weather fans like you cardinal why LU lost it's program in 89!!!!!  Give them a chance!!!
I am not throwing in the towel after 2 seasons .  Last year we were happy to have a team playing again.  This year we are looking for one-year's worth of improvement.  Not seeing much.  I am not demanding wins at this point but I am expecting LU to begin competing.  My clock says that Coach Woodard should have 4 full seasons to produce a good product. That means my expectations project us to be at least in the middle of the SLC pack in the next two seasons.  I certainly hope that we didn't have a bunch of potential recruits at tonight's game. :P
13. Year in and year out, Silsbee plays WOS tough. It will be a close game anyway we slice it.  Having seen both Silsbee and WOS, I will go with the Mustangs.  I am basing this purely on intangibles.  Silsbee probably has more talent on their side of the field but seem to also have a greater ability to implode. A barn-burner for sure in Tigerland!
14. Overheard at a WOS game in Houston....... Dan Hooks:  Hey Ref!  We work all week to get ready for these games and you come out here on one night and screw it up!  How would you like it if we came to your job and screwed that up???  Where do you work?? Zebra:  NASA Dan Hooks:  Well, no wonder we haven't put a man on the moon since the 70's!!!! ;D 8) ;D 8) ;D
15. Said to a really weak but persistent player who was imploring the coach to make him better.  "Son, I wasn't there at conception so I can't help you."
16.

I feel sorry for the Silsbee defensive players and defensive coaches. What an effort and to still lose
Yes indeed. Silsbee defense played well enough to win by 2 TD's!
And the same could be said for BC's defense.
17. Plus the ejection was a clear mistake by the officials.  The first Personal Foul was for "taunting".  The second was a hit by another player that the officials incorrectly attributed to Dishon.  Objections from the coaches at the time pointed out that the wrong player was charged and videotape confirmed it.
18. The problem with all the penalties was that several of them were down right wrong.  After watching the video it was even more obvious.  #24 is ejected for a helmet to helmet hit.  Only problem was he didn't make the hit! Not denying that a flag should have been thrown, but if you are going to eject a player know who you are ejecting!  Had the officiating crew merely  been real picky would be one thing, but BC's defensive rushers were being tackled regularly with a very few flags being thrown.  This seemed to be the case of the officials trying to protect a weaker team.  No doubt H-J sees the same actions from some officials when their basketball teams are clearly superior on the court.  H-J kids never gave up and played hard all game.  These officials lost control of the game early and were very clumsy and inaccurate in trying to reestablish control.  Everybody including players, coaches, and officials have bad outings.  I am sure these guys are much better officials than they showed last night. :P
