Yes, the wet field helped keep the game closer than it should have been. Silsbee should have won this one by 3 TD's. : Keep thinking that! : That's right you didn't see all the slip downs we had either. Or the dropped snaps , fumbled snaps and missed field goals we had deep in Mustang territory.....

Yes if the drill team was still there that does explain coming to our side of the field but if you have to do that all the sliding was still excessive. Other teams have ran on the sideline side of the drill team.

Yes and without a bad snap on a punt the Mustangs would have put a great big GOOSE EGG on the scoreboard.

I would like to point out on thing that I thought was a little classless in an opponents homefield. The mustang coaches allowed their players to come across the field sliding on their stomachs in the mud on the Tiger's side of the field. I know this fired up some Silsbee players and coaches. With limited people in the stands I could hear one Tiger coach saying " That's OK they are about to get all they can handle." And they did. Yes I did see the Tiger's players as well as a coach doing this after the game but they were celebrating post game on our sideline or the middle of our homefield.

Maybe so but the Tigers have been considered a speed team as well.

Ok guys before this game it was an overwhelming opinion that Silsbee and WOS were the big favorites in district. If so then why would losing by a TD to Silsbee give the other district teams such hope against the Mustangs?

Great game tonight for us Tiger fans. Conditions were brutal during part of the 4th quarter. The tigers deserve this win after two tough losses. Our record could be 4-2 instead of 2-4. We just haven't been able to close the close ones until tonight. As far as the team that made the fewest mistakes winning, we may have made less mistakes as far as dropped passes and mental mistakes but I am waiting to see the stats on turnovers and fumbles. If it wasn't for one of our mistakes(not blaming a player because of the weather)a bad snap, WOS would not have scored. Now I have to take my hats off to the Tiger defense, they took a beating early in the year on here even by yours truly, but they have been playing real well the last 4 weeks and we finally got the win. Has any one got an update on WOS #89, my prayers are with him. He was a beast tonight. Hope he gets to return to the field. Congratulations Tigers on a great win!!!!

How are the two polls that have been posted so inconsistent? One had the Tigers and Hawks at 4 and 6. That's quite a bot of difference.

I hAve to agree with Granny on the Tigers in that they very well may be loaded, but I definately disagree on the Hawks. They have 3 solid returnees and will be strong as always.I hope the Tiger can finally get that outright district title but would not be surprised by a split again.

I believe in the schedules thread AAW said he was given bad info and that game is not on the schedule.
