  1. Tigersvoice I originally said it was classless but when given this explanation. I said I didn't realize that the drill team was still there and said in that case I could understand coming to our side but felt the sliding was still excessive and saw where at least some of our players and coaches were fired up about it as well.
  2. lol...you do that because we all know what perennial powerhouses BC has beaten this year. Saw that coming. You may take the 5-1 team but when they only have one win against a good opponent and the 2-4 team has played a schedule like the Tigers have, I feel that this may be even more lopsided than the 20 point win I predicted. I was at the BC-Kountze game, Kountze was terrible and BC wasn't overly impressive. That is as long as the tigers play the way they have been playing the last 4 weeks and do not have a let down.
  3. Great to hear Nelson will be ok and back on the field.
  4. Just located the obituary on line and was even more saddened by this.. I did not know "Moose" but I can remember seeing many games he officiated. He always had a smile on his face. He was a good official an it was clear he loved doing it and lived his life to the fullest. "Moose" you will be greatly missed.
  5. Great post. I don't believe WOS is as bad as most of their own fans feel they are. Silsbee's offense has had some of the same problems so far this year. But we have both played a very tough jasper defense and Silsbee's defense has been very strong lately so WOS will be just fine in my opinion.
  6. Big plays are what a speed team does..........
  7. Tigers have too much speed for the birds but have to watch for the letdown. tigers by 20.
  8. I don't feel the defense had anything to do with the ball coming out of the centers hands on a snap before he even got it off the ground. However they did recover it. As well as the other snap I believe it was low and mishandled causing us a big loss. We have had some snap issues all year long, but considering the weather this game wa a little better in my opinion. We also had a bad snap on the last field goal attempt. (That one had me a little worried before the play even happened) The penalty like I said could be considered a mental mistake I just felt like he was being aggressive and just missed blocking the kick. Maybe too aggressive but more unfortunate. If he had came in late with no chance on blocking it I would consider it more of a mistake.
  9. you are right there but I guess I wasn't considering penalties a mistake. But yes you could consider that a mental mistake. But if you look at it like that we only stopped ourselves on a couple of drives deep in Mustang territory. Yes they were caused by the weather but they were still our mistakes. Taking advantage of mistakes is a big part of a football game.
  10. I am not whining about anything I stated earlier that I had no problem coming to our side of the endzone in that case although every other team has stayed on their on sideline in that exact setup. I do have a problem with the sliding on our side before the game. however it did help get our players and coaches even more fired up.
  11. There was one TD for each team as a result of the other teams mistake. Silsbee scored the other TD on their opening drive no mistake needed.
  12. No, not the best around just better than the Mustangs. And yes you did score but it sure wasn't your offense. Mustangs win this one big. Oh and by the way I will stay on the topic but when a statement like this is made I may respond.
  13. I stated this in another thread and i will say it again sliding pregame on your opponents sideline on their homefield is disrespectful. After a big win on your own field away from the other team and its sideline is ok even on an opposing field if you stay to your sideline after a win i feel would be ok.
  14. No, not the best around just better than the Mustangs. And yes you did score but it sure wasn't your offense.
  15. I know they played it. I know who supplied food for the game. Don't know the result though.
  16. Yes, the wet field helped keep the game closer than it should have been. Silsbee should have won this one by 3 TD's. : Keep thinking that! : That's right you didn't see all the slip downs we had either. Or the dropped snaps , fumbled snaps and missed field goals we had deep in Mustang territory.....
  17. How about COOP=Nothing but excuses!! GO TIGERS!!
  18. Coop loves the Tiger's in the sunshine and especially in the RAIN!!! Tiger's stop the Mustang's streak 13-7.
  19. Yes if the drill team was still there that does explain coming to our side of the field but if you have to do that all the sliding was still excessive. Other teams have ran on the sideline side of the drill team.
  20. Does anyone have an update on Da' Jewell Nelson's health? He was a beast tonight. I hope he is OK.
  21. was this during the pre-game center of the field meeting??? . It was pregame as they ran onto the field
  22. Yes and without a bad snap on a punt the Mustangs would have put a great big GOOSE EGG on the scoreboard.
  23. I would like to point out on thing that I thought was a little classless in an opponents homefield. The mustang coaches allowed their players to come across the field sliding on their stomachs in the mud on the Tiger's side of the field. I know this fired up some Silsbee players and coaches. With limited people in the stands I could hear one Tiger coach saying " That's OK they are about to get all they can handle." And they did. Yes I did see the Tiger's players as well as a coach doing this after the game but they were celebrating post game on our sideline or the middle of our homefield.
  24. Maybe so but the Tigers have been considered a speed team as well.
