  1. Congratulations to the winners, both deserving and I will not knock either! I do believe that Dontre deserved this as well!
  2. I have also seen Livingston added to this discussing moving back to 5A due to "previously unannounced error concerning enrollment figures."
  3. Regardless of whether or not Llano is west Texas or central Texas,. They have the same view I had which makes more sense, closer travel for district in a district that could use another school numbers wise. I also notice no mention of Harmony Science. [Hidden Content]
  4. Yes public school would be a huge help for him!! Especially his home town!!
  5. I believe he will be back at regionals. I think he will be able to practice but wants to build his strength so that hand will be ready.
  6. And I was saying the district part was a given barring the starting 5 leaving school!! But even though I won't be surprised if no one comes close, the other part of that statement is kind of tough. I didn't think anyone would beat them last year but I sat there and watched it happen. I have only seen them a few times this year but have the same feeling.
  7. Right there in bold.....
  8. Not not losing a game in district was really putting yourself out there. The 20 pt win margin is at least not such a sure thing.
  9. Way to go Lady Tigers!!
  10. I hate that for LCM he has done a good job keeping them competitive.
  11. Plans may be changing.......
  12. Wrong it's a $1,000,000.00 question! Probably more!
  13. Not sure but probably Harris.
  14. Mike J is supposed to be back to practice next Wednesday. The Tigers have played their max number of games, counting WOS, 19 plus 3 tourneys, so we can't play a warm up.
  15. Still even worse than Navasota...
  16. Liberty and Shepherd are tied for 3rd and 4th. They play Tuesday. The loser is who we will face.
  17. Abilene Wylie, now that's some traveling...
  18. I will be there.
  19. Going into the season this was the question I had in the matchup with HJ. Was not sure they had the ball handlers to withstand the pressure. Without probably their best choice last night was proof they didn't.
  20. Yeah that's what I was getting at....
  21. A little too late....
  22. Let's hope so,....if the playoff brackets stay the same and each team does what is expected and wins district the next couple years, that game will be the regional finals.
  23. Congratulations to my Tigers! First mission accomplished, District Champions! Now on to the bigger goals. I have to say hats off to HJ as well they put up a good fight for 3 quarters. But the Tigers are just too much when they get rolling. I have to say to Michael Saladin it has been fun to watch you play. I can remember the first time I saw you last year thinking that this couldn't be who I have been hearing about, but have been nothing but impressed from that point on. And tonight I saw someone mention you had about 30 points and it must have been almost effortless, I never even realized you were close to that. I know that HJ was missing a couple of playersand especially Parquet and we were missing an all state player as well. There is no doubt tonight that HJ issued Parquets ball handling. He would be the one I would want yo see dribbling in pressure. Without him Saladin had to do a lot of it and # 5 did a pretty good job. But the There was no doubt in the end in this one. Parquet may have helped some but not nearly enough. As for my Tigers play tonight, great pressure defense from start to finish. The first half not so good on the offensive side. Too many missed 3s but the big thing was several missed layups for no reason. Some of those were just flat out misses on a break. Then in the second half that momentum got going and that was all she wrote. a couple of points, one it was mentioned about some of the turnovers that HJ had that were maybe not a direct result of the Tigers defense. I think a lot of those were the result of rushing because always seeming to have someone in your face. I know I have seen in the past games where I felt we rushed say some shots inside when we were getting a lot of shots blocked or things like that. I had the same view of several of those turnover that HJ usually wouldn't make tonight. another thing I would like to mention is noticing a couple players tonight for the Tigers. Maybe not the ones that had big scoring nights like Harris who had a great second half. One it was great having Tre Grubbs back tonight. Roberts had a big game for HJ in the first game and tonight Tre offset a lot of that. I noticed several times Roberts would come down with or have a good chance at the rebound and Tre would take it away from him or knock it out of his hands. He was a great spark tonight. The other was Devon tonight. I have been impressed with both freshmen this year but tonight I noticed Devon on a few of his drives and how he positioned his body to keep Roberts from being able to get to the ball. Good play for sure. Last thing I want to say is that I hate that these two teams are being separated for the next two years and who knows after that. Whether we have won 15 of the last 19 or not, they have all been fun. Tonight's atmosphere reminded me of those games before ford park. I realize that it's not very likely for a regular season game the next couple years but I as a fan will miss it!
  24. Tre was not the leading scorer but TxHoops is correct it's all the other things that makes him lead the Tigers!
  25. Ok this season, that makes a little more sense.
