I do hope the new Coach whether it be an inside guy or not does take a stronger stand on discipline. It will be a hard fight but it will be for the better. I do know in one big game this year there was one stance made and I was glad to see it. As far as conditioning, I know it could be better but think it looked somewhat worse due to the time our defense stayed on the field and the number of players playing both sides of the ball. I am interested to see the list when it's released.

there is no doubt that a team with a good big man and good guards will be a tough game fore us. Even though we are a pressing team, this isn't what I would consider your normal pressing team. Yes we can still give up easy buckets when the press is broke and fall into some of those traps, but even with good guards a team will have to be careful. They may get past our press but have to deal with one or two guys coming from behind for the steal at any moment. The speed on this team is the big factor,. Wwe can take chances and still recover. Get in a half court set and th speed still leads to jumping passing lanes or traps leading to turnovers. Sure that team makeup is a tough one for us but you better perform and it may still not be enough. now as far as the way the game is called, that is a bigger worry for me. We have to adjust and not let it dictate our play. And by that I don't mean our style of play that will have to be adjusted some but I mean our play as more as an individual in the sense that we can't lose our focus or get so frustrated it takes us out of the game. The officiating can definitely keep you from getting into a rhythm. We will just have to adjust and play our best.

The thing is this isn't a team award it's an individual,. Shouldn't matter who would or did beat who. Both of these Qbs had great numbers, ones numbers were greater. I really have little problem with someone taking an approach like shlykbmt said he did. One thing I wonder is how those numbers compared in the same number of games. I know the overall win loss of opponents would be about the same. i will say it's hard to judge based on each team playing different schedules. To me an individual award goes to the best player not the player whose team went farther or beat the other. In a case with similar stats it's a judgement call. Maybe this one falls into that in the voters eyes.

They will play one of them,i take it one of them will end up 2nd, in district in the second round. Central, stands to face the other in the second round.

I will not belittle one for the other but I do view things different than a lot of you WOS fans. Sure JD had good stats but Dontre's are better. And the difference in opinion is that JD led your offense but he didn't lead the team to the state title, your defense did that.

I do see the travel for llano may be a little better in the current lineup but not a whole lot a couple 1 1/2 hour trips in both but a 2 hour trip to Hondo. Now not sure they want to go near ATX traffic to get to Taylor though. Could have made two 6 team districts to start with though instead of a 7 and a 5. But they can't win setting these up anyway someone will always be upset.

I haven't read anything just saw that, the statement about Livingston is interesting though,. If their numbers are really 5a numbers that weren't reported due to a mistake.
