Good Luck Big Sandy lets keep the regional win within the 25-2A

Just want to give a BIg congratulations to the Rebels. They were a young team and after last years grad class people felt that it would be a growing year. They proved to everyone that with heart and determination you can do what you want. They had fun and played ball. They proved doubters wrong and stayed focus on the prize. They may not have beat Refugio BUT they were in both games and never stopped pressuring until the final out. This TEAM went further than people figured; it’s been almost 10 years since Evadale made it this far. My hats off to each of you and the coaches for a GREAT season, nothing to be ashamed of. With this young team it looks like Evadale going to have a very successful season next year.
Again congratulations to the 2019 Evadale Rebels Baseball Team and Coaches. Can’t wait till next season.

I can confirm the first 4 losses Evadale had were because they had 4 players in basketball. All of which start on the baseball team. The 5th loss was the Monday the cane back from the basketball loss and no baseball practice. They are a good group of players that love what they are doing. Only losing 2 starters this next year with a good group coming off JV. Going to be tough again next year.

Yes.  They won Game 2, 13-2, to sweep their series with Ben Bolt.

I think everyone knows what Refugio is famous for......the birthplace of only the most dominating pitcher in history.  

However, Refugio is always good and they are sitting at 22-1.  Not sure who Big Sandy’s next round would be, but final 4 in the region they would probably not be a slouch.  This has been a very good year for Rebel baseball.  Coach Luna has them playing well at the right time.  My hope is the boys stay focused and continue to improve and hit.
