(Reuters) U.S Air Force estimates start up cost for U.S. Space Force will be around $13 billion in the first 5 years. This is according to a Department of Defense memo.

Homeland Security was created after 9-11. President Bush administration created this department that I appreciate. President Trump is creating the United States Space Force. Do you consider this wasteful government?

What you may not be aware of is that he may have a security clearance and his job is very important. Chemical Engineer, Computer Engineer, and many others cannot be done in the state level. I agree that jobs like TSO can be done at the state level. Screeners worked at airports before Homeland Security was created.

stevenash, Democrats plan piecemeal appropriation bill starting with the treasury department and IRS. The action is so people can receive tax returns. Curious to see if all those that feel he should not cave will allow there tax return to be refunded months or years from now. Will people encourage Republicans to pass the bill because now they will begin to feel the effect . I have stated in previous post that he does not need Congressional approval. Why is he calling those who are not receiving pay checks Democrats?

President Trump does the right thing. His administration announced that it would freeze a pay raise for members of cabinet in light of shutdown. I wish he would sign executive order freezing House and Senate pay during a shut down.

The President said I'm proud to Shut down the government. He also said Government workers supported the shut down. Federal employees sued government over "essential" employees working without pay. The emboldened statement applies to ANYONE who takes food off my table and hinders me from providing for my family.

I hate hearing people say keep Government Shut down. The House and Senate continue to receive their pay. My President cannot agree to terms because it would make him look bad. Well Sugar, Honey, Ice, Tea. The tweets make him look bad. The House and Senate should not receive pay until they have a bipartisan agreement signed by the President.

We have had previous Secretary of Defense with no military back ground and went on to do well. If I had a choice it would be a Military General.
