When I watched Jasper play Lumberton they did not seem to have the same energy or physicality that they usually have had in the past.

Was the West Hardin v New Waverly JV game a result of this? I was wondering how many teams who lost their game with Sabine Pass were having to pick up JVs from bigger schools, I heard that Colmesneil had picked up Carthage JV for their Sabine Pass week as well.

I am aware, I am saying it happens more than once a lot. On both sides of being above or below the line, because the UIL needs to keep a certain number of schools in each classification/division.

There are also instances all over the state of schools who regularly fall just a few students over the cutoff for the classification. With the way the snapshot works it would be hard to cheat the system consistently because they set the enrollment for alignment based off the data from snapshot numbers if I understand it correctly.

How many people's homecomings had to be rescheduled from this news? Looks like Sabine Pass was gonna be a record number of homecoming games this season lol

Didn't Sabine Pass have to forfeit some games last year because of an ineligible player? Other than that I thought they had one of their better seasons in recent history?

Is Huntington much improved or is Evadale down?

Anxious to see how the Raider QB looks this week, he had some flashes last year as a sophomore that he could be good.

The Livingston ones were only out there the first 10ish plays, Woodville didn't start moving it until the guys with the different pants came in for the lions. Pretty sure those were backups/JV. Skill wise I think Woodville will be fine, but they struggled up front against the starters from Livingston.

When the ones were out there it was all Lions, when the twos came in Woodville moved it a little better. Long way to go for this Eagles team to recreate that magic from last season.

Seems like following a coach would be a red flag for eligibility at the new school... is there not a rule against this?

I figured with the new lng expansion they would have more kids coming in. Didn't they just turf all their fields as well? You would think the facilities along with the good education would be drawing a lot more students in.

Hopefully this works out for them, does not seem like it was a very smooth process throughout. I can't believe Jackson did not get it with him having been there for awhile and having the most success out of all the programs in his tenure. It would have made more sense if they wanted to keep it a basketball guy, but to just separate it from a sport completely is a strange look.

Isn't he a assistant coach? How is that gonna work being the boss of his head coaches he assists?

The raiders are rolling, Bennett has always done a great job and Mitchell might be a better pitching coach than he is on the hardwood.

I heard he is out and that a local assistant is in the mix now, have you heard the same?

So many people have turned it down now that makes me think Jackson must have turned it down too.

I heard a couple have interviewed and that one turned it down.. I am surprised they have not promoted Jackson to AD yet with it being kind of late in the year now.
