I remember a time when Jasper teams were always gonna do two things, be physical and play extremely hard. Watching them against Lumberton this year I saw neither of those things and was very surprised.

Lumberton can hang around if QB plays up to his potential, we have seen flashes of it can be a game changer if he gets it all together. Hopefully this is the week he turns it on and Raiders can get a win streak going to finish out district.

First the 50 defense and now they are playing basketball before district even starts lol

WOS is hosting a fall basketball league? 5 years ago it would have been unheard of for WOS to even have a team in another league much less be hosting one

Lumberton has played a tough pre district schedule, but BC has won the games they are supposed, hard to tell who has the advantage based off that. I will take the battle tested Raiders in a close one though.

When I watched Jasper play Lumberton they did not seem to have the same energy or physicality that they usually have had in the past.

Was the West Hardin v New Waverly JV game a result of this? I was wondering how many teams who lost their game with Sabine Pass were having to pick up JVs from bigger schools, I heard that Colmesneil had picked up Carthage JV for their Sabine Pass week as well.

I am aware, I am saying it happens more than once a lot. On both sides of being above or below the line, because the UIL needs to keep a certain number of schools in each classification/division.

There are also instances all over the state of schools who regularly fall just a few students over the cutoff for the classification. With the way the snapshot works it would be hard to cheat the system consistently because they set the enrollment for alignment based off the data from snapshot numbers if I understand it correctly.

How many people's homecomings had to be rescheduled from this news? Looks like Sabine Pass was gonna be a record number of homecoming games this season lol

Didn't Sabine Pass have to forfeit some games last year because of an ineligible player? Other than that I thought they had one of their better seasons in recent history?

Is Huntington much improved or is Evadale down?

Anxious to see how the Raider QB looks this week, he had some flashes last year as a sophomore that he could be good.

The Livingston ones were only out there the first 10ish plays, Woodville didn't start moving it until the guys with the different pants came in for the lions. Pretty sure those were backups/JV. Skill wise I think Woodville will be fine, but they struggled up front against the starters from Livingston.

When the ones were out there it was all Lions, when the twos came in Woodville moved it a little better. Long way to go for this Eagles team to recreate that magic from last season.
