no-look got a reaction from bullets13 in Grapeland
Anyone remember the last time they were at the tourney? They were up three points with less than ten seconds to go. Grapeland player steals the ball and goes in for a windmill dunk. It bounces hard off the back of the rim. A Wellington player scoops it up and heavs a half court shot and kisses it off the glass and ties it. Grapeland loses in OT. If he would have just laid it in they win by five. I really felt badly for the players and coaches.

no-look reacted to rupert3 in Leggett still #1 in my book
Yes we had the same situation at Leggett, 6'6" and knocked out. What amazed me about our kids was for 3/4 of the year we only had 6 kids and for 5 games we had 5. In 2 tourneys among regular games we won 14 games in 2 weeks with 6 guys. and some of the other teams had as many as 20 guys and tried to run us in the ground but couldn't. They just had heart that's all it takes sometimes. We didn't get there but to us they where great and to the big schools we beat they where monsters to them.

What kind of guard play does Argyle have? That will mostl likely determine if game will be close. Not sure that they have seen the kind of pressure that Silsbee will bring

Great season Rebels. I had many enjoyable hours watching you guys play. And you are not only great basketball players, but a fine group of young men.
Thank you!

no-look reacted to JimThorpe in Houston Yates 92 Huffman Hargrave 82/FINAL
I stayed and watched the Yates-Huffman game and there is a lot to what you say. On paper the comparison is apt because Yates was playing just as hard as they possibly could to beat Huffman. Couple that with the fact that North Forest is not a bad team. They won 17 of their last 19 games. The two loses were to Yates by 11 and to Bellaire (who was upset by Cinco Ranch incidentally) and one of the wins was over Yates by 19. But again, that's all on paper.
I'll tell you one thing. From a certain perspective, as a Tiger fan, I'm kind of glad Yates pulled it out. Huffman was starting to get that ominous "team of destiny" look about them. You know, when all of a sudden a group of young men suddenly find themselves and discover that they are a lot better than they thought they were? Then fate takes the wheel.

For about four minutes into the first. Lol. No disrespect intended.

no-look got a reaction from Hagar in Shelbyville vs Evadale
Both teams have good point guards but I think Evadale's #3 is a better distributor and can create and shoot a little better. Over all Evadale is a better shooting team. I will give the edge to them. But it's been almost two months since I saw Shelbyville play. They may be playing at a higher level. Shelbyville is well coached and will be under control. Should be good one!
