I don’t think that’s the big issue, the biggest problem is if the weather is as bad as what’s being predicted then a Friday night game would most likely be delayed. Or worse, won’t happen and have to be rescheduled last minute.
According to Chita - KHOU 11 news out of Houston says that things will decline rapidly between 8 - 10 pm on Friday night in the Houston area. So, just about 2nd quarter and the poop will hit the roof.

Some kids are inherently talented, and from what I have seen, Center has more than their far share of talented kids.
You would think Brock is a LARGE group of un-talented kids by your measure. However, they dominate 3a Highschool Football. I wonder why, if not very talented.

I guess your definition of talent and mine are different.
What I hear you saying is that Liberty was stronger and better prepared. That is not talent to me. That is preparation, coaching and a mind set that is developed by the coach.
I thought Liberty had a great chance to win because of those things.
Stronger = Talent
Did Center get out-coached? Maybe, I don't know.
It looked like to me, they just got out played physically.

I like Silsbee in this game. Don't @ me.

You are telling me Liberty was as talented as Center?
Talented - Yes. Did Center have two athletes faster than anyone from Liberty and could run circles around anyone from Liberty? Also, yes. But, that's not this thing works. Center was small and weak up front and could not get a stop at any point in the game that mattered. It would have been worse, but Center has an above average KICKER that made it very interesting. But, to your point, no Center is not more talented than any of the teams they lost to this year. Athletic in some positions, yes by far.

Ummmm, football is predominantly played outside, so weather is very much apart of the game. Thinking that it isn't and shouldn't be is foolish.
I don't have a problem with it being played outside. I have a problem with people thinking its okay to play in situations where the "ELEMENTS" effect the outcome of the game and believing that its okay for that to happen when it is AVOIDABLE. No other major sport is dictated by bad weather in the history of EVER.

'83 Dangerfield might be able to stay close. They were good but this is 2018 Newton. Just saying.
Those 4.7 40's in 1983 would not be able to hang with this Newton speed. Anybody who thinks 1983 athletes can run with 2018 athletes just dont understand the evolution of man-kind.

bad weather conditions are part of the game.
Why are they "part of the game" ? That's ridiculous. That sounds so 1955.

I get it. I would go to the game if it was here in SETX. But, I don't want to drive that far. Plus, I would have to scrounge up some gas money.
The game is in southeast Texas. New Caney is about as southeast Texas as it gets.

Yes.

Yes, but they dropped to 4A-DivII this year and went 6-4 and got beat in the first round by Liberty.
Unrealistic expectations for the Roughrider fan base.

East Chambers has enough speed and skill to score a lot of points against GV to win. GV will score a lot as well. This has the makings of a 49-42 type ball game.

This is not an ideal venue for a 4th round game.

Does anyone know the score of Hardin vs. Deweyville ?
i am hearing Hardin defeated Brookeland in the Championship 60-41

Who is #5 for FB Marshall and where is he committed to play ? One of the most explosive kids I have ever seen.

I like EC in this game. I thought YOE was the only team who could/would knock EC out of the playoffs and I was wrong. EC will be in Arlington this year facing Brock.

I hope I’m wrong, but I’ll take yoe, 34-20
This seems fair. Can't imagine Yoe losing at this stage. EC does seem to be on a roll lately scoring a ton of points. I like YOE by 10

The game is scheduled to be played in New Caney. Not Porter
