Silsbee will run and run often, they won't be stopped. It doesn't matter how disciplined Kirbyville is, they can't stop the run. It's hard to defend against 3 options any day. Silsbee wins, doesn't matter by how much or how little, those guys on that team will be ready and you all will see it. Bottom line silsbee will be able to run and will win.

I want to give credit to a guy named Rocky Calhoun from Silsbee....i don't think he is the best but he is a good, hard runner that doesn't get a lot of credit. He has great second and third effort, just doesn't have the numbers like these other guys because they have like 4 RB's and a QB that loves to keep the ball. He did score 3 TD's against HJ though

being from silsbee, im glad to see jasper get a win. I know personally how it feels to lose. 1-9 one year 0-10 the next.....Just don't beat us... just kidding good win for you guys!

WOS people just can't admit that they SH*T their pant beacuse they actually played a good team that gave them a challenge

Just because they don't beat Silsbee 62-0 or 54-0 or w/e they have done, they play a bad game...what does a Silsbee team have to do to get some credit and just say WOS got more than they wanted tonight...I mean jeez, was it that they played bad or did Silsbee just shut them down because i wasn't that impressed with their offense, although their RB's are very slippery, but thats it.

Im not making excuses, I was just pointing out that 3rd down conversion that was made at the end of the game. Just a what if.....

Wow i sure am glad this was a blowout! I think WOS is kind of over-rated myself....They are good but if that was the #4 team in the state then silsbee should make it to the semifinals at least. Silsbee played one of the best games i have seen in a long time. If not for a few penalties and a big 3rd down conversion at the end of the game...who knows! Great Game by both team and good luck to both in the playoffs! Anyone think that ref on WOS's sideline was a little "flag happy?

I would have to say the 2004 game between Silsbee and Jasper to decide the District Championship! The game went into OT and silsbee scored 1st and made the extra point. Jasper then scores and tries to go for 2, but they fail. Desmond Doss (I think) comes in and makes the hit and their QB fumbles and Silsbee recovers. It was the best game i played in. If anyone was there please back me up! Great atmosphere for football. Hell the lights went out in the 1st quarter while we were driving down the field. We had the best fans that year and i would like to thank those that were there at all the games!

The tigers will win for sure...It doesn't matter by how much! They just need to work on holding on to the ball. This is the last "tune-up" before the game with WOS. (And i don't mean anything against HF). I don't know how they keep putting the ball on the ground. You would think that after 5 games they would be getting better, not staying the same. I mean their defense was good against BC and their Offense was good besides their "100" turnovers. They will make it to the playoffs in my opinion, but if they continue to turn the ball over it will be an early exit like the last 2 years. This team is too good to not go 2-3 rounds deep in the playoffs. I think if they win in a blowout and turn the ball over more than 2 times then they accomplish nothing. On the other hand, if they win by 1 and don't turn the ball over, that is a big step. A win is a win. By 1 or 100 its the same thing, a notch in the win column. I just think everyone that gets on here and says they are gonna win like "50-0" or whatever they put is kind of discouraging to the players that get on here and read this. Maybe thats just my opinion. Even though i played at silsbee in '04 on the 9-0 team, i feel bad for those guys that aren't even given a chance even though it may be the truth. Don't make the prediction too harsh just say W or L.

OF had a lot of excitement tonight in their stands and why not they have a pretty good team....I didn't expect them to play that well, but what can you do when you aren't picked to go to the playoffs. That team played with a lot of grit. On paper, Silsbee should have prolly beat the crap out of them, but those guys gave us more than we could have asked for....Good luck to those guys

I'll be in Silsbee but i wish i could be at that game! I think a lot of people underestimate OF though. I was at the Silsbee game tonight, OF has a team with a lot of grit and determination. They have a good QB, just made the one mistake the whole night and that was the Int at the end of the game

I can see where you are coming from. I wouldn't mind if K-ville beat WOS because that would open the door to have co-champs of the district, but if K-ville does then they sould win undefeated. I just don't see that happeneing though....of course everyone has an opinion...i guess we will have to wait a week and see how it goes..where are they playing at?

No way Kirbyville beats WOS, they are going to win district undefeated, those guys don't have off weeks and they will be ready to play every game. I think OF may be the spoiler of the district, they played good against a good Silsbee team, they wont beat WOS but they may cause some trouble

How many times have we seen that headline? I feel that they need to pursue a closer as well as a slugger this offseason.....What other manager uses their closer "sometimes?" Don't get me wrong i like Lidge but he isn't what he used to be!

I heard Sterling has a good offense and that they have a lot of speed and some great athletes, i heard their defense was kind of shaky, so if that is true you can probably expect a nice little shoot-out like last years silsbee vs. palestine game, so i think if silsbee's "D" shows up they may pull it out!

I agree with Trawhon being the coach of the year.....Not taking anything away from the other coaches but when you have the caliber talent that LCM and PNG have year after year its not hard to turn that into winning.....That doesn't mean Silsbee isn't talented, but those two schools put out player after player into D1 schools to play baseball.....Silsbee doesn't have guys that throw 88-90 MPH, They have a few good players and most of them are average. In the three years he has been there he has improved each year. Sub .500 in 1st, 1st trip to playoffs in 8 years in his 2nd year, and this year he has done something that hasn't been done in around 20 years, win a district title!10-0. I'm sure all these coaches plead good cases but I think he should get it hands down.

Mcdonald isn't a chump! He can pitch almost as good anyway. Don't think the Tigers are gonna settle for anything less than 10-0! I know they wanna win....When the tigers win...look for a few playoff wins..Baseball is a funny game!
