If Skinner is throwing 90, it must be in his sleep. He may throw hard but it isn't 90. He has a hard time with his control. I think that is why he goes up and down. They are trying to get his pitching under control. Obviously he is still a good ball player without pitching, but they need hom to be able to pitch.

Of course they have to win the Southland tournament. I also think they CAN make it but it is not going to be easy. I don't know how the seedings are right now, but there are some tough teams in the conference. TAMU-CC is tough and is currently the #1 seed in the conference. Yes we beat them but they are tough. SHSU is very undersized compared to the Islanders. We still have them at home the last game of the year, but i think we can do it.

The big 7 footer was horrible....3 points? I thought he was supposed to be a NBA prospect?

In my opinion, Silsbee has a great baseball field. They have a new fence, new scoreboard, new home dugout, new batting facility. Coach Trahan has done a great job in getting that complex to look good. Four years ago that place was just a swamp with a fence around it! I think they have a few new projects for this upcoming year (landscaping, etc.). It is beginning to have a great atmosphere for baseball.

This guy runs his mouth all week about how kirbyville is goin to win and then doesn't go to the game. What's up with that? Don't talk smack if you are not going to go to the game and watch. I think he knew they were gonna lose, so to spare the embarrassment, he decided not to go. Wish you could have been there balla to see how Kirbyville "shut down the veer!"

I can tell you one thing about respect...I can recall a 2004 game in which K-Ville showed up right at the coin toss, seems they stopped in buna and warmed up, then they tried to come to the middle of our field on homecoming, the only bad thing was we couldn't beat the crap out of them then. We had to wait for the game. There are about 6-7 players that remember that and they can't stand Kirbyville. Needless to say Silsbee won 40-13. Silsbee may have respect for kirbyville, but it's only because the coach makes them, not because they want to. Silsbee will win 35-13, they are too big, strong, and fast. Coach Alvarez knows that and he is worried just like the players.
