This is what happens when you bring in a retread for a head coach and all the assistants that are calling the shots had 3 wins in 2 years.  Facts.

It kills me to say it but I think offense is gonna plague the TWolves all season 

He is good to go,he could of played last week..That was a coaches decision to hold him out against wos,I was upset at first but now it was a smart move,they won and gave my stepson some experience!!!!!

At this point, I have to that they will get it right.  St. Pius was not scheduled by Louis and they are a tough opponent for most teams.  If nothing else, this game exposed some things in week one that need to be fixed instead of playing a cupcake and having a false confidence going into week 2 and 3.

Even though the weather predicted for next weekend will favor the Bulldogs offense compared to what the Wolves want to do, I have to of course ride with United in this one.  I have to have confidence that Louis and staff will look at game film, be honest with themselves about some of the kids and the positions that they are trying to play them in and the depth chart and make adjustments accordingly.  I've stated from day 1 that this team can be successful IF they play the BEST kid at each position and not base it off of where a particular kid went to school last year...

Defense, the amount of missed tackles/physical toughness was scary. You don’t have to ‘Gel’ to wanna hit somebody 

As you see Soulja, I don't respond to ANY of his post.  I've simply started just skipping them when I see his name.  If he wants to talk a little noise about football, cool but all the other stuff just shows his immaturity and hate.  One thing that I've learned in life is just because they look like "US" doesn't mean they are for "US"...

Or just leave it alone. BISD has more issues to worry about then renaming it. He did a lot of good for the school district as a whole. And he did a lot of setx a favor by having a super nice cheap playoff venue close to home. Just leave the stadium name as is.
The only good thing I like is the wall of fame which is a great idea.

Trying to take the fun out of Football.

I would say that the depth and experience should be above a "typical" 6A program considering you are combining two 5A programs from last year. However, I would also suggest caution, because having depth, means that some kids that may have been starters in the recent past are going to have to accept backup or limited roles. Are all of these kids willing to put their ego aside for the betterment of the team? Are these kids going to compete every day to play or are they going to pout and whine about not getting to start? This is why coaching is so important in this unusual scenario.

Because it's much easier for a school board to hire a guy who has "head coaching experience" than to sit down and decipher whether or not the coordinator has HC aptitude. Doing the latter would require people on the board know football and are good judges of character, and most school boards do not have those guys/gals.

I had a meeting Monday with some higher ups one of which was Coach Louis.  His estimated numbers for football for this coming year was approximately 90 from Central, approximately 80 from Ozen and approximately 100 from the middle schools.  Not too bad of numbers to start United with...

No way they beat Franklin, Crockett, Diboll or Coldspring, IMO.

Sorry to go back but to touch on the turf subject the Butch has hosted a whole bunch of playoff games in the 8 years besides the regular games between the 3 schools. Soccer games and playoff matches, band contest. I’m quite certain BISD knew what they were doing when they built the stadium to attract these events at a great location off ih 10. The turf is paid by these events and will continue get paid for because schools will continue to rent this venue out. 

While I agree that going back to the coaches choosing the site of the championship game would promote the most fairness, I have to acknowledge that the current setup is far too lucrative for the UIL to give up. 
Maintaining the single site model is the only way that the UIL will get a network such as Fox Sports Southwest to broadcast the games and pay what they do for the broadcasts and the affiliated shows.  FSSW would not (and maybe could not) devote the resources necessary to carry the games from up to 12 different venues, which is what would be required should be UIL abandon the single site model.  The result, I presume, would be whoever would broadcast the games would limit the broadcasts to the 6A champ games and, maybe, the 5A champ games.  That would probably decrease greatly the revenue that the UIL would receive in broadcast rights.  We all know that the UIL won't stand for that.
Now then, do you rotate the venues?  It seems fair and despite the pot shots taken at each stadium, both NRG and AT&T (and the Alamodome for that matter) are NFL quality stadiums which would be able to provide the pageantry that we appear to desire.  It comes down again to finances.  Let me ask you this...if you are scouting venues to put on an event and one venue quotes you a rental half the price of the other venue, which one would you choose....that is simply what the UIL has done.
Much as I hate to admit, the UIL will remain in Arlington for the foreseeable future and they are being fiscally responsible in keeping it there.

I might be the naive one in the room, but I am impressed with the hire of Arthur Louis as the new coach.  Remember folks, the new coach at United will be charged with much more than building a new football team....he will be in many ways responsible for building a new community  As impressive as the resumes of Todd Peterman, Lydell Wilson and Kirk Botkin might be in other respects, they do not have the experience that Coach Louis has in either of those regards.  And as folks from old school Ozen remember, he was kind of successful in that regard.
As many have noted since news of the merger came about, mending of the community will be necessary.  What better man to do that than a respected member of the community?  What better man to do that than a man who BISD fans had expressed hopes would fill a BISD head coaching job, whether Central, Ozen or West Brook, every time one of those positions came open?  You need someone within the community that can command the respect of all who come to it.  Folks, whether you care to admit it or not, Arthur Louis is that man.  No he may not have been the "splashworthy" candidate that some were hoping for.  But the building that will be required here will require more than just a splash.  In Arthur Louis, you have a man who is invested in the community, and having come from a school that looked to such candidates to lead them and have had success in doing so, there is something to be said for that.
I know that there is this undercurrent, that Coach Louis is merely a placeholder and that in a couple of years one of the current Ozen or Central coaches will resume the helm.  And that may very well be the case.  However, with the outside hires that so many coveted, do you think that the coaching situation would be any more settled?  Do folks really believe that folks like Peterman or Wilson, who have state championships on their resume and coaching stops (as well as AD stints) at much bigger school districts, would have actually put down permanent stakes at a smallish 6A school made up of a couple of schools who really have no major playoff success to speak of?  If you believe so, perhaps I am not the only naive person in the room.
But the folks at United are faced with the choice.  They can, as a community, rally around Coach Louis and work as hard as they can to help build the program that many of you think it can be OR you can spend your time lamenting about the "big fish" that got away.  As Alpha Wolf, who I know to be an avid fisherman, can tell you, that second choice never gets you that far.

A sh*t show being ran by Shannon Allen, Assistant Superintendent and soon to be Superintendent.  Man I couldn't agree with you more on this.  Beaumont United Hurricanes would have been a whole lot better sounding and a mascot that the KIDS could relate to.
Allen is trying to give this job to Taylor.  I don't know how they are intertwined but that's what's happening.  She is smart enough to know that if you don't allow an outside HC to bring in his own people or at least some of his own people, they won't except the job.  Ron Jackson, Athletic Director, is not calling the shots.  He is just the face and the puppet.  She's calling the shots but he is the one who will get all the backlash that will come with this hiring.

That’s what I would think. I’m going for the wolf’s I hope they surprise some folks. But honestly I hope they find a great leader to lead the team where they will be successful overal and they don’t make some brother in law type of hire. Beaumont has been in the news to much with negative attention and I would  like to see this team do well
