Fans been leaving like that for decades.really sad for the kids.
I remember a few years back posting a photo at MCM that showed an empty Port Neches stands at the start of the 4th in the reservation. Don't try to act like your Honor-Pride-Tradition is any higher than anywhere else in SETX.

No that is NOT what I was implying...Nothing to do with race....I was just questioning WHY? And stating that it SHOULD have been covered. That's all.
I wont speak for everyone but that is what I thought was implied. If that is not what was being implied, I would like to know what "certain things" you are referring to?

I don't know. I just find it strange that they can get it together enough to post on other players they sign but can't mention anything on Jaylan. I'm not saying it's a big deal or anything but I would expect them to be a little more excited about being able to offer and sign him. I would assume they would want to introduce him to the fan base, but whatever. Hopefully he stands out on the court.

Is UNLV ever going to release something on signing Jaylan? I have seen several articles now on their website (www.unlvrebels.com) about other players they have signed but nothing on Jaylan. It's confusing that these other players get their articles posted on the official athletic website. I would be a little bit upset about that if I was Jaylan. Getting an incoming freshman talent like Ballou should be getting headlines and articles before senior transfers imo.

Got word that Jase verbally committed to SEU in Lakeland, Florida. He is expected to sign his letter in a couple of weeks. congratulations young man! Keep up the hard work!
-
Guess I will go ahead and ask it... Not to take anything away from the selected players but How does Jase Miguez not at least make offensive MVP?
I can't recall the last time the district leading scorer wasn't at least the offensive MVP. What is even more impressive is that everyone in the area knows he is the only threat on the team and he still managed to lead the district in scoring. You take Jase off of Nederland, they might win 4-5 games in district and miss the playoffs.

Wow, that's a lot to infer. Sometimes the root of the problem is that you need a change of scenery. I'm watching the A&M game right now and saw DeVante Fields sack their qb. Fields was the defensive player of the year in the Big 12 as a freshman but had issues, now he's at Louisville playing in a bowl game and about to get drafted. You can even take Hubanek playing A&M tonight after transferring from two schools, albeit for a different reason.
Sometimes it just doesn't work for some players in some places. I'm not saying it's the best option but it's probably time to start thinking about it after how the last two years went. I think the "trapped in the 409" thing is still a bit of a stretch at this point though.
Fields didn't have a choice in the matter as he was thrown off the team. Hopefully he got the help he needed to get control of his "issues". A change of scenery alone will not fix the problem. I understand transferring because you get beat out by an underclass man and you want playing time or your home sick, I get that. No way TB should transfer if it's his choice.
Talent will only carry you so far. TB has the world in his palms and he could throw it all away behind poor decision making. Like another poster said, most of us have never been in his position and that is 100% correct. Most of us were not born with the athletic gifts from God that TB was born with and he has worked hard to get to Bama. But that is not an excuse to mess it up. Those kids have an amazing support structure at those schools. Schools are investing a lot of money into these kids are doing everything they can to ensure the kids graduate with a degree and set them up for success in life. TB has to practice, study and stay out of trouble. Cmon man, is it really that hard to do?

I read it as because he was in Sabans dog house he should transfer. Blaming Saban might not be the intent, but the suggestion to transfer will not fix the root of the problem. You will never convince me that UH is a better opportunity than Alabama. Kid is a true sophomore and has played every game this season. Kids future is bright at Alabama if he doesn't throw it away. He may not have a choice if he is thrown off the team, but if he isn't, he needs to get his priorities straight or get trapped in the 409.
-
Are we seriously blaming Nick Saban??? If the kid is in the dog house, then he needs to stop doing the things that are getting him there! Kid has an unbelievable opportunity and is throwing it away because he can't follow rules. Changing schools will not fix that problem. Grow up, mature and work your butt off on the field and off. If you are doing those things and it's not working out, sure, transfer. But don't bring your bad habits to another school and then blame it on that coach too.

Buc-ee's full of PNG, WOS, Orangefield, Angleton and even saw a Bulldog...was there a meeting called..lol
I was at Buc-ee's. Black jacket and visor?
-
I can honestly tell you, PNG is never overconfident when they play Nederland.
Really? Because all I heard the last two years was how bad you were going to beat us.
-
Maybe overconfidence? Two years in a row, Nederland lost to GCM. Wow!
PNG should know alot about overconfidence. Six years in a row, PNG lost to Nederland. Wow!
-
-
So what did Nederland students do to the field? I'm seeing stuff about messing the field up
They walked on it when they went to celebrate with the team. Smh. Nederland has more class than that and respects our rival.
-
The best way to beat a press is with spacing and passing, not a whole lot of dribbling needed. If English could get his team to the 3rd round in the playoffs with Kirby Hanley(sp) as point guard, he can find someone in this group to do the same.
Kirby was an underrated guard for English. Let's not forget that he was an all-district player his senior year.

I'm close friends with the Miguez family and they are not moving anywhere. (Confirmed)
However, rumors are flying that another player may leave but nothing confirmed.

Defense made adjustments at half time and held Vidor to 9 points in the 2nd half. We changed our defense for this game because of Vidor offense, but we still need work on that side of the ball. QB play was terrific tonight. It has been awhile since we have had this good of a QB. No disrespect to recent qb's but the best I have seen since Hood.

Thanks NDN!

Sorry your streak came to an end, not sorry our team gets a shot to share the DC.
Kinda ticks me off that GCM was the one to get ya .lol
The streak was going to end sometime, I really don't think people are that upset about that. We hurt for the seniors to lose their last game on their home field. Any fan would take 29-1 all day as long as the 1 is not PNG lol. But saying they didn't want to win more than GCM was way off base and I probably overreacted a bit to that.

I personally like the natural grass. I do think the schools need to be upgraded along with the stadium but I would keep the grass.
