We have to get our PATs fixed. Have 2 good kickers....I’m not at the game so I can’t see if it’s the front or back end of the attempt that’s not right.

Not a bad idea with that grueling district coming up. That’s what matters...no reason to risk it.

Man! Haven’t heard that school in a while. We (WOS) played them in the playoffs in 97 I believe. All I remember is they had those huge plastic riddel face masks. Man those things were ugly!! Lol

That run by RJ was pretty! Also thought the NDN secondary looks to be pretty dang good.

Deweyville looked good for the amount of players, Buna looked good and I believe the only team to actually even throw a pass, and completed most of them, Bridge City looked like it’s going to be a very long season.

My takeaways from watching from mid second quarter(got there late). Typical scrimmage with lots of rotation of players. Both teams won due to the quality of each team (the whole point of a scrimmage). WOS looked a little larger than normal up front. DB’s look typical WOS speed but we’re out of position many times against the pass. Great to see many “pearl” helmets making plays to try and earn that Silver helmet. Haven’t seen #45 before but played well at linebacker for WOS. Tyrone throws one of the most beautiful passes I’ve ever seen but the timing is off which led to a couple INT’s. That will get fixed. Running game needs some work but I believe that was mostly the blocking up front. PNG has some big kids up front. They always do but that could be a huge plus for them this season. RJ is nasty as that’s the first time I’ve seen him in person. Passes the “real deal” eye test. On his scramble for a TD run once he got past the LB’s it was like he hit the turbo button, the kid is lightning fast!! I look forward to following him and the NDN’s for the season. PNG could have a very special team this year, they are fast at all positions. Their D looked great even though they rotated out many players and rightfully so due to it being a scrimmage. All in all, I believe it ended up showing 2 things.....PNG looks like they will make a lot of noise in 5A and WOS, although young, looks to be pretty dang salty. Once again, it’s just a scrimmage but I liked what I saw.....minus the blocking and pass timing for WOS(which will be corrected) and look forward to following both teams on a long season.

I thought I saw a while back that this coming football season (or maybe 2019 season)will be the last on the current contract between the UIL and Jerry Jones(ATT Stadium). Will the UIL change and do a rotation between Dallas, Houston and San Antonio? A co worker asked me at work if they will still play at ATT.

Any of the old timers on here remember what the vote choices were back in ‘76 with the impending merger of WO and Stark? I know y’all voted on it as my bro in law was one, but he can’t remeber the other choices. He did say our school colors were because of the success of the Dallas Cowboys at that time. Yes, we are actually supposed to be Dallas Blue(royal bluish) and Silver. Not Navy blue.

I think it works because it’s two words first then one word. Rolls better. Stark-West Orange doesn’t sound good. What if Stark would have still been Orange HS? West Orange-Orange? Lol! Also believe the full name was Orange Lutcher Stark HS. Could be wrong though.

The refs made the call because it wasn’t going to get better for a couple of hours and didn’t want us playing past midnight, even if the storms moved through! Trust me, I was there!!

No dog in the fight but I also like United Knights. Has a good sound to it. Also like Beaumont Central-Ozen. Then you could say BCO. Sounds like the old days when you would say BCP. Lol. And no Blue and Gray Stallions. There is already a team around here with a horse mascot! Lol. They just happen to be Navy blue, not Royal.
