I agree with that prediction.  PNG and Dayton will both be good this year and should easily take care of Crosby.

The goal to win district championships, beat your rival and have a winning season, go to playoffs, teach young men self respect and how to be team players (this will go with them the rest of their lives), means nothing to some on this board; however, there is another board in Nederland that cares about this and, well maybe not so much in other school districts.  The coaches in Nederland would give any player fair input and support them in reaching their personal goals, whatever that may be.

So who has the better program? Ned or Ozen?  Why don't we change the names to Team ball and individual ball. The coaches, players, students and fans all expect to see the dogs win on Friday nights. Washington and Malveaux got scholarships this year and Colton could have, but that would be to their credit for achieving it. It would sure be unfair to the other 43 players on the team if they thought they were busting their tails just to earn scholarships for a few and not the glory of winning for their school and community. So for the critics of the way we do things in Nederland....it's a TEAM THING...you wouldn't understand.

kinda have to agree, kids have to hit as many camps as they can, best way to get noticed. cant rely on coaches for this , kids and kids parents need to do the leg work in that. but there are some coaches who go above and beyond, but for the most point it relies on the parents and kids. you cant put stock into being successful based on how many players get scholarships vs who won the most games and judge that as being succussful. Take Ned and Ozen, Ned highly successful program, playoffs in and out just about every year . Ozen well not so successful. who is to judge whether or not the more successful program is , do you go by playoff appearances or scholarship awardees. my opinion is who is playing after district in my books, i go with win %s vs scholarships. but if you are getting those schollies even though you are not that successful does mean something is being done. win win in my book.

I agree Target is on NEDs back for sure they earned it for the last two years. this year will be different. Looking for this to be one of the most competitive districts in a while. Yes Sage Seay is a freakin Beast. One thing about Neuman, when his offense starts to struggle he puts his goto beast at qb and runs the ball right at you. For some reason it seems to work. Last years mcm the offense wasnt getting it done, put the ball in the Beasts hands and bam the get six points. I will say this about Faircloth not bashing him, but he does leave alot of points on the field. It isnt always bad to settle for a FG. 3 pts is better than none, again in MCM last year in the final 5 mins png could have attempted two FGs to win the game, didnt happen, went for it on Fourth and two against that incredible defensive line and got stuffed. i will always question that call as a fan, when you only had 40 yards rushing all night, smh. His decision he is the coach not me , but makes you wonder. Never the less it was a good game. This years games should be awesome. just hope weather doesnt create any havoc. look for a three way train wreck with NED PNG and Central, never know though anything can happen lol.  Friday night lights and Saturday Night lights cant get here soon enough.

I like PNG s chances this year, got two good qbs either of them can and will get job done, two good running backs, but Im wondering about defense, This team should take down Big Ned this year, we fail short last year, don't see it happening this year. Man preseason cant get here soon enough.
