Yes, he would have been a good one.
Brandon Houston would have been a very good hire too.
I agree I like Houston also.

Some familiar names on that list. Couple got head coaching gigs since then. Makes you wonder seeing some names, what coulda been had they been hired.
Man Zach Bass would have been an awesome hire.

Had some great runs. what did the younger groups do this year and what do they have coming back? be interesting. great tradition here just got to get the right cog in the machine to get it going in the right direction .
Here’s the deal you lose everything just about on Varsity. You bring back 1 starter on the offensive line and bring back maybe 2 starters on defense. A Junior Varsity that had 12 kids to finish the season. Lose all your skill position starters. Who ever it is will have his work cut out. Lose entire defensive line (3), 2 inside linebackers, 1 outside linebacker and all 4 starters in the secondary. I look for a bigger turnout than 35-38 to start the season. Kids just refused to play for him and coaches hate to coach with him.

Our district is pretty weak though & sadly it showed tonight. We had no answer when they shut Gatson down. The defense was gassed from not playing but 2 quarters all season. They came to play!
That’s what it sounded like to me

Yeah, that wasn’t gonna happen. But I figured 1 or 2 more rounds. Good effort Bucs.

That's a fair point. We're probably a .700 team since he took over, but very few of those wins were against similar competition. We're probably sub-.500 against teams that have been at least at our level. That's where the frustration comes in.
You’ll ain’t seen frustration wait till they hire a baseball coach to coach football also. I’ve been frustrated for 3.5 years on this horrible hire Kirbyville made

Tigers take a knee and that’s the ball game. Great game West Sabine and good luck next week. You guys earned it. I’m thinking WS go to the 3rd round with an easy win next week.
Tigers - 22
Bobcats - 6
Final
Way to play hard Cats. Made a few too many mistakes and gave up a couple big plays. We’ll be back bigger and better next year.
That 3rd round game against Mart wont be pretty

Tigers facing a 4th and goal on the HD 6 yard line. I think :31 seconds left in 3rd but scoreboard has been on the glitch. I’m still livid about that call. Should have been 4th and 11 on their own 23 yard line.
Must be same referees from Deweyville

Until Jasper get rid of that offensive coordinator and the head coach the two brothers Jasper will continue to lose! You go from going to the third round two getting beat in the second round now getting put out in the first round! You are declining as a coaching staff it is time for a change
Maybe they just looking ahead to next week.

Never said how recent the fall has been. Just that they have fallen.
I know when the fall started. Just making an observation that they continue to fall.
You go from one of the worst to probably the best next week.

1990-2006 they were a powerhouse won 5 state titles and played for 3 others. Weren’t the on the verge of getting shut down and having to merge with Texas City?

Should be a good game we played both and both are very big and physical. Woodville likes to sling it around the yard and have two good receivers with #11 and Big # 12 ( baby megaton). #54 for Woodville on defense is a beast. Coldspring is more of a ball control , get a lead and eat the clock up. This is one of those 3rd round playoff games being played in the 1st week.
