It's easy on this forum to trash the small 2A schools. Understood, our district isn't threatening any State titles. Football is a completely different game when your entire High School football program has 18-24 kids dress and no "legacy" programs here. Hull-Daisetta, High Island, Evadale, Burkeville, Deweyville, Sabine Pass...they simply can't hardly overcome a key injury or two. Sure, they'll line up and play with what they have and they'll take an "L". I know a few "prestigious programs" locally that can't seem to line up due to a twisted goal post or a damaged jumbo-tron. Our boys probably won't get to enjoy a single home game this year, we lost all our stadium lights at our stadium. They just wanna play. And yes, we scraped up enough kids with damaged homes and no power to run up to Cushing and get beat. I'm still proud. And to all of the above mentioned schools in our district...great job on keeping your season together. We have 3 key kids out this week but we'll go to Warren Friday and give 'em all we got.Â
Great post.Â

Yeah HD has about 20 kids. It will be interesting how HD does vs 2A competition. Also, HD’s starting QB and LB/SS is back, after missing last week’s game and exiting at the half vs Hardin the 1st game. Hoping HD keeps getting #3 and #2 the ball.Â

HD wins 35-6

HD should have won both 3A games... HD will handle their District, especially if we move some kids to offensive line and get the ball to #3 and #2. If we come out in the traditional
slot-t and don’t showcase Broussard at QB, possibly won’t meet our potential... -

I know some coaches at HD and they would not admit it but hd55 or whatever his name cover-up is theÂ
worst person you need advice from. He hollers and screams from the stands giving "advice" to hard working coaches.Â
That's happens everywhere I guess but from what I get he is a blooming idiot. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
You jealous pal? Better ask around. 😜 Ole key board warrior, I’d love to pray with you for 2 minutes in private. I can assure you I could teach most Coaches some football. Get to know me, you would probably like me, I’ve got more coaches jobs, than pissed off.Â

I don't know about West Hardin, but Evadale has been in the playoffs for the last 15 years or so. 2 or 3 rounds for the last 3-5 years at least.Â
Last time they lost to Warren was 10 plus years ago. That's how you know they're down...
Just my opinion.Â

2 or 3 rounds? Hmmm, I remember one year they went to second round.Â

Is Warren really as good as advertised, or is it the schedule? Will they make noise in District?Â

The bigger issue, is we have several studs that could turn the offensive line into an elite unit. Problem is those studs all want to be Bo Jackson or Joe Montana, when really they could be George Kittle or Willie Roaf, for the team.

Give me those moves I posted up top, HD goes from just going to the District Championship game, to winning 2 playoff games.

I’ve watched all the HD games in person. If Sellers and Aguirre line up at starting book end TE’s, Weeks moved to the primary WR, along with new Dayton move in Jeremiah. We beef up the o-line with some of these monsters on side line. Then we start Devante as the full time QB, with Dawson at the lone RB in the backfield, run a lot of zone reads. You do a few good things, you are solidifying the O-line with athletes, to provide Devante and Dawson some holes. It also show cases our two top talents Broussard and Dawson, while still allowing Broussard to have several weapons in the receiving game. Sellers and Aguirre at starting TE’s, they could be the best duo in SETX. Then Weeks and Jeremiah at WR’s! HD instantly becomes a balanced team full of weapons!

HD fought super hard against another bigger 3A team. Once again our boys were just to tired and wore out in 4th quarter. If you notice the sideline, we have 3-4 giant boys that never get to play one snap... HD has a few starters that need to be moved to the offensive line, to bad if you are no longer a skill player, if your a good size/good athlete, put them on the O-line/TE, then roll with or two fastest players, we all know who they are... HD has the opportunity to build the top Offensive line in district, just gotta quit trying to make skill players out of everyone. #bigboysneedin #letsputsometalentontheline

Also, there are 72 2A schools in the state that are smaller than Hull-Daisetta and 113 3A schools that are larger than Hardin. Neither was close to moving down to 1A or moving up to 4A.
Actually, HD just missed staying 2A DI by 10 kids and Hardin just missed moving down to 3A DII by 17 kids.
HD is one of the largest 2A DII schools in the entire state while Hardin is one of the smallest 3A DI teams in the state.
Hardin is still 3 classifications larger than HD... It would like Hardin playing Dayton or Crosby, Hardin should have won. HD is a 2A D-2, Hardin is 3A D--1, bottom line.Â

Don’t really need to.  All people need to do is go back and read most of your posts on here.  That will be my validation.
I stand by my posts, guess which one of us will continue to post on here once District games start. lol

Hardin might win one game in district.
Zero games. HD was 2 kids away from being a 1A school, Hardin was a few kids away from 4A... If Sellers don’t miss the whole 2nd half HD upsets. You could see the team deflate without him the 2nd half. HD will be fine, playing their size schools in District.Â

From what I saw if Hardin plays like they did in the second half they should be tough to play with...Score could’ve been a lot more due to the fumble at the end and the Potetz kid cramping at the whole second half... I’m going to get on his step dad for not making that kid drink more water. Lol Good win for the hornets and the new coach!
Keep in mind our starting QB/Top defender never came back from Halftime, concussion. He was key on both sides, big advantage for Hardin at that point. Would have been a whole different game with him on both sides of ball. HD had to move their RB to QB, never played there before.Â

Good game hornets.Prayers for HD starting QB that didn’t return from half time. The classifications matter, this was basically if Hardin played Dayton or Crosby.Â
