  1. Then pray for a storm to hit next year when we're supposed to play in Lumberton and do it to us. I won't make a stink about it. At that point, I'll just be going to home games.
  2. if it's that bad, we'll probably be playing Saturday.
  3. It's hard being right. It's a gift/curse. IDK why everyone is hard up for Thursday. Seems like a great day to get ready for the storm. Either we'll play Friday or we'll play Saturday. but no one is going to play in unsafe conditions.
  4. Hurricanes do what they want to do. A wet field doesn't help us. we like throwing the ball. I just don't know why Lumberton is so eager to get beat down a day earlier? Is there some unknown PVIL school they are trying to honor with a throwback Thursday game? Actually that would be cool. We could wear our Dunbar Leopards uniforms. Are y'all gonna borrow unis from Silsbee (Waldo Matthews) or Kountze Washington Carver? Jasper could pull out it's Rowe unis, WOS could be the Emma Wallace Dragons, PA can bring back the Bumblebees. Beaumont has it's panthers. In all seriousness, spend tomorrow getting ready. And if the storm isn't bad, we can start the weekend right with football.
  5. If Friday turns bad, then why would you play Thursday when you should spend that day getting ready for the storm? And if Friday is bad, there won't be a safety issue regarding travel because the game will be rescheduled to the next available date. It's Livingston's call. Next year when Lumberton hosts, y'all can move the game up or back if there's inclement weather to your hearts' content.
  6. Is Lumberton afraid of a little rain? Come on! Seriously, I doubt we get anything up here. I hardly had any rain from Laura and this storm is going to land further east. And if if it did shift west, I'd rather spend Thursday preparing for the storm than being at a game. At worst, we play Saturday football. So quit crying!
  7. The Lions last win in district was against Ozen. They just broke a 20 game losing streak last season. They have been picked to finish last in district the past three years, including this year's Dave Campbell's Texas Football. No one on this boad outside of Livingston fans thought they were going to compete for a playoff spot. If that's not the definition of a guaranteed W, I don't know what is. Oh, what short memories we have.
  8. Livingston wins by a score after being up by 2-3 TDs for most of the game. We like to let teams stay close. The Lions are no longer a guaranteed win. Yes fans are allowed. No tix sales at the gates.
  9. Steve Griffith was the man for the job in baseball. Bears did alright with him at the helm.
  10. While it's not as glamorous as Shadow Creek, Alvin is open! [Hidden Content] Say stupid things, win stupid prizes!
  11. That story has been floating around in Houston for a while. He won't be playing anytime soon. probably for the best.
  12. Why would you want him? He's a knucklehead. He's the same young man that was using the n-word all nilly willy last year. He clearly hasn't learned anything. Besides, even if he transferred, he would still have to serve the school suspension at his new campus. Moving to a new school doesn't negate the punishment. Tulsa should consider letting him figure this out at Jr. college. If he's dumb enough, (or more likely entitled enough) to get caught with weed at school, he's not making good life choices right now. He should focus on life and worry about football later. That said, free the weed in Texas.
  13. It wasn't as close as the score indicated. Madisonville. 7-3-0-6. 16 Livingston. 7-7-7-0. 21 move to 3-2(Should be 4-1). Enters bye on three game win streak. That district losing streak is ending this season.
  14. IDK, man. It just feels like a bad loss. When the schedule comes out, you ought to look at that game as a win. Granted, the kids had a lot on their mind with the storm. I just hope this next one doesn't decide to sit on top of y'all Wednesday and Thursday..
  15. Damn, its that small now? Guess it's LCM's last go around in big 4A. I guess when I was there it was as big as it would ever be. Doesn't matter, we always find ways to lose in Woodville and I always thinks we're too big to play them. Look what the team across town did to a class 3A team. Just saying. Gotta play better. Glad we didn't play Carthage.
  16. Why do we always lose at Eagle Summit? I'm sorry, were big 4A, almost 3X the number of enrollment. The eagles are probably going be fighting for the last playoff spot in their district. Tarkington is going to be a tough out. At worse, win by by a TD. Ugh, to be a Bear fan.
  17. 35-20 Final Livingston improves to 2-2. Good win on homecoming.
  18. 28-6 at the half. Were it not for a shanked Livingston punt, this is a shutout. l
  19. hopefully we can have a running clock if this keeps up. 21-0 Livingston, Q1.
  20. Non district is locked up for 2 years as well. I hope y'all continue to improve. Glad Coldspring Oakhurst is back to winning.
  21. Schedules are set for two years, notwithstanding COVID-19 and Hurricanes. Before all the craziness, we were looking at games with Dayton, Caney Creek, Tomball Concordia Lutheran, etc. We wanted to play Shepherd, but they said no. I think Livingston is going to keep trying to play up, where all possible, in non district. I'm glad Coldspring is finding it's footing again. I have fond memories of spending Saturdays playing them in Peewee.
  22. You call the science behind wearing the mask a hoax. That's why I don't care about your reasons for wearing a mask, only that you're wearing it.
  23. People's aversion to doing something as simple as wearing a mask so you don't infect your neighbor and so we can open society up tells me there are tons of people who take this as a hoax.
